I downloaded the w95.7z file. Unfortunately when I tried extracting it, it said it was corrupted. Winrar can extract the file, right? I'm downloading it again and hopefully I won't get another error.

our xperia x8 is low performance device...this guide can show you what we can do with it and if you want windows xp/7 go buy htc zeta with quad core cpu because win xp is extremely slow even on htc evo 3d with dual core and 1 gb ram
and do not compare PC with mobile device

Nice trick, thanks.
A little help to simply start w95:

Solved, re extracted the .img file and now its ok .

It does work, although it takes quite a while to boot up. But that's probably due to hardware limits. I'm playing around with it and see if there's anything we can do to speed up the boot process a bit. funny thing is it boots quicker when i uninstall/unsupercharge v6.

Good for you... I have missing DLL errors when i try to open a program . And on top of that the previous problem is came beck...

Did you try downloading the file again? I had to dl it 3x before anything worked. Good luck.

I give up, 7x downloaded it and none of them working...

hey.do you want another link??

No thanks . The problem is probably on my side, since Im the only wan who has problem wit it.

Little bit funny to play games

De-Captivated
I created this root and unlock combo modeled after the old iPhone jailbreaks which allowed you to unlock. Technically speaking this is not one click, but it is the single fastest way to do both. Right now it is only Mac, but it could come to PC eventually if I have time and find a tester. Remember, that if this application works I would really appreciate it if you donate.
It does the following:
Roots
Unlocks
Installs android-wifi-tether
Installs Market enabler
Sideloads
Required:
Mac
Samsung Captivate
Other carrier SIM card
How to use:
Just download the file from the link below or in the attachments:
Newest version
Now mount the DMG file and you should see this:
Drag the folder to the hard drive picture BUT NOTHING ELSE. Once the folder finishes copying just double click on the icon with the lock and run the program (it opens in a terminal window). It is VERY self explanatory from there and it includes step by step directions. I hope this program helps.
If you tried unlocking too many times:
It will then ask you for another code. Enter the unfreeze code that it gives you on the very last screen of the program. Enter that.
Donate:
This program took a long time to make and I would really appreciate it if you donate. Your donations will help me keep this program up-to-date. Currently I only accept PayPal donations at:

I don't have access to a OS X system to test this, but when you have a Windows solution set-up, let me know for testing.

Haha I thought you were serious for a minute. Yeah. Well for now its Mac only because PC's do not really handle shell scripts well. I will probably convert it later with the help of someone else but until then its mac only (and if you have linux you can get it to work if u change a few things)
I have added sideloading functionality to the app.

I am assuming that is it. If there is a weird folder with basically nothing in it that is probably a folder that Mac OSX adds to everything that is hidden but shows up on windows.

[PROGRAM] Infiniflash v1.2 ~ It makes life easier.

The purpose of this program is to make my life easier when developing on the Android Platform. At he same time it may also make your life easier. I would like to keep this project totally open source and I include all of the source files withing the .zip that it comes in. What does this program do? It will allow you to flash custom ROMs straight from your computer, fast and hassle-free.
In this new version, I have done a ton of error/big fixes, rewrote quite a lot, and finally added wiping functionality. Enjoy!
Infiniflash REQUIRES that your device has ClockworkMod Recovery or any recovery that supports /cache/recovery/extendedcommand.
By the way, if you can think of a better name/icon for this program, please, please, please tell me.

I have a DHD as well and had the same issue. You must install the driver for it to work on your device.
1) Visit this link to download and install HTC Sync (which contains the driver): http://goo.gl/P3ZP1
2) After installation plug your device in.
3) To verify you have the driver, open the Infiniflash folder, hold the shift key and right click on the tools folder. Click open command prompt.
4) Now type in the command: adb devices
5) If your device showed up, it worked! Otherwise, try restarting or syncing your phone in HTC Sync, it should start working eventually.
6) Now that you have the driver, Infiniflash will *hopefully* work from now on.
Best of luck
Cheers.

This looks awesome, and I would use it but is there a different button for wiping to ext 4 and 3? All the roms I seem to switch between use different formats.
Thanks

By wiping to ext3 & ext4 do you mean formatting the /system partition to one of those formats? If so I might be able to implement it or make an add-on . By the way, which device requires you to do that? I've never heard of that before... are you sure it's a requirement?
Oops Double Post.

Thank you very much! I think I'll port it over soon, but the only bad part about that is that I have no idea how to make GUI's in Linux so it would be command line only .
It's funny that you mention that though because I'm a Linux user myself and never really thought about it.

[Q] Multiple roms in one Defy??

I have been wondering if we could install multiple ROMs in our phones at once and switch between them as we would wish. Thereby skipping the pain of making contacts and app backups.
After a bit of Googling, i came across an app named "Boot Manager",which allows you to install 5 ROMs at once, but alas, it doesn't support our defy...
It would be great if i could have MIUI in my phone besides CM7,
Afaik, Technically it IS possible...
The ROMs would be installed in our SD Card and the phone will then be able to boot images of the desired rom, we wish to switch to.
If anyone has any information, then please share.
This is a video of the app running in HTC Sensation. Do check it out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwJGy0x-iFM
Guys, we have to make this Awesome thing run in our defy...!! Anyhow..!!
Good question dude.
I've been wondering if I can have cyanogenmod installed and if I can switch back to stock incase I'm not satisfied with CMod.

Some good news,
The boot manager app can be used in Defy as well by configuring it manually using the adb shell.
Gonna try it in a day or two.

Exciting...that will certainly be great as changing ROM comes with the added hassel of redoing necessary housekeeping all over again...will keep watching!
Alright friends, so it actually is possible for us to use the boot manager app.
All we got to do is to manually configure the settings.
Here is what we need to configure:

I have read in the help manual that the settings can be configured using adb.
But i dont have a pc with me these days.
So either if someone who knows how to use adb can find out the sizes of the folder and share here, or we will have to find a way to find out the size of the root folders using terminal emulator.
Further questions are welcomed.
we should type the total size of data system and cache or the used space
Someone test this ?
It's quite interesting, but what about applications, data etc, i think so one rom should be primary (in phone memory)
we should type the total size of data system and cache or the used space

The Total size that is allocated to these folders, not the used space.

The settings need to be configured for which the size of the folders has to be known, and that can be done via adb.

system size:325.1
data size:1200

Next when i configured my boot manager with the settings provided by you and tried to install a ROM into the SD card it first asked me to choose b/w Ext2 or Ext4.
Then on selecting any of the above an error popped up saying "Error making img" - Error making img to hold filesystem. Please try again.

"Missing operating system"

Hi,
Booting on windows 8, I got the message "Missing operating system", and my computer won't boot !
Please I don't know what to do !!
Thanks in advance !!
PS : Why F8 or Shift+F8 don't show Advanced boot options ?
Did you do anything that could mess up your bootloader or insert another bootable hard drive? Did you try to o mess with the boot settings?
I would try to put the dvd in the computer and do a repair install. That should replace the system files on your computer and make it boot again, kind of like flashing a rom in Android without wiping data to make it usable. If it is buggy or unstable I would suggest backing everything up and installing windows from scratch again.

I have found the problem : I used wintoflash to create a bootable usb drive with win7 on it (for an other computer), and when I boot now I have this message. Maybe wintoflash thought I would install win7 on the same computer and modified something...
The problem is I can't access Advanced boot options or even System Repair cause I'm on win8.
Thanks for you answer !

Try to boot from the USB then, and if it works then do a repair install.
The windows installation has been copied in a wrong way I think : cmd displays X:/ instead of C:/ in the repair system and the installation can't go on.

If yes, change the boot priority to USB/DVD and keep either of it connected...

Ok can you get access to another computer and a cd? If so, burn an Ubuntu live cd, boot your computer into it, don't install, and burn a Windows 8 dvd from there.

dude... you literally have no idea what you are doing and didn't even look up anything. boot into the USB drive you put the windows 8 install on and let it run the automatic repair...
Did this, got error...
I solved the trouble myself :
I booted on Toutou Linux (google it if you don't know it), then used gParted to uncheck "Boot" from an unvalid partition and checked "Boot" on my internal HDD. It all worked. Now tell me again I don't know what I'm doing cause I found the solution while you didn't.

*RETIRED*[GUIDE]{My first}How to install W10 w/o the Get Windows App

Hey guys, ever wondered how you will get w10 on your pc w/o the necessary earlier updates or too impatient to wait for the update to be Downloaded? Here's the catch.
1)Make sure you're on an ELIGIBLE windows version (7-8.1) and not on Windows RT or enterprise.
2)Check what bit architecture your Pc is,either 32 or 64.
3)If you have checked everything, now, download the Windows 10 media creation tool from here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install based on your bit architecture
4)Open up the executable file as administrator and click Upgrade now
5)It will now show Downloading win10 and followed by creating media. If you want to speed up the process, just connect a LAN cable to your modem
6)It will show preparing... Just sit back and relax
7)Now it will say checking for updates and the end-user licence agreement.
8)Just click accept and choose what files you want to keep
9)It will check for updates again and the confirmation for installation pops up.Click OK.
10)Now,it shows installing windows 10 and once that's done,it will show 'Your Pc will reboot in a few moments' Don't panic if as it takes 20-35 mins.
11)Now it will reboot into Windows installation mode from copying your files to configuring settings.
12)All done!Hooray!Just set up your account and it will check for updates. Then,YOUR'E Free to use your 'new' and definitely improved ( In my opinion) Pc!
