A small tablet?

I use this as the in-between my phone and laptop/desktop. It runs Windows 7 Ultimate, has an 8" 1,280x600 display, a 256GB SSD, GPS, and an imbedded VZW modem. For real stuff, I need a real (not virtual) keyboard. And with any tablet, no matter how thin and light, the crap you have to tote around with it to make it a PC replacement makes it as big as a laptop. Maybe Samsung will be successful but the Dell Streak certainly bombed.

agreed.....

I will buy it it will gid rid of the need of a tablet which is really not needed anyway. I can count on one finger how many phone calls I have made in the last month. Count me in

I will buy it if its not as heavy and bulky as dell streak. Streak is twice the bulk and weight of s2. I need a larger screen as around 90% of stuffs I do with the s2 has been as internet device and pdf reader.

Sgs3 vs SG Note

Hello there
I started this thread to make a comparaison between the two device to help people on chosing the model which more fits his needs
I own both and can't actually decide which one use as main....

so far i can elaborate a bit:
Both have ics (the sgnote has a custom icsRocketRom)
they are both very fast, but you can feel the sgs3 has more processing power and it is overall faster
when you type messages on the sgnote its easyer and you end up with faster typing
browsing speed seems about the same
ics version on sgs 3 is more modern and seems better
the battery on sgs 3 seems very good but i feel that sgnote has longer usage
the screen of the sgnote is huge and at the end it makes the main difference between the 2 devices
at the end probably any comparaison is not fair since they are not the same category of device
if they had same hardware and software it would only be a matter to decide : "Do i have enough room to carry a gnote"?

I am in the same boat. Got my .sg3 yesterday but after flashing liquid on my Note I miss my Note some. I think the Note 2 will be the one. Although I am going to use my GS3 as my main phone now

the proximity sensor and light sensor are frosted?
just wondering!

Doubt it cuz the frosting would inhibit the function of the sensors. This is probably a dummy display model photographed by the graphic designers for the image.

Noticeable bulks on back cover

I wonder what are those 8 circles bulking on the back cover. I jsut notice this today..can someone help me and explain if this is okay?

The components underneath the cover aren't flat. So if you rub your hands while applying pressure over the back cover you can feel some bumps underneath. It's normal.

If i were to guess I'd say @monmonito you have a black Note 2014. I have a white note and at certain angles in certain lighting I can see the cirlces your taling about. I guess theyre more noticable on the black version.
