I don't think we're supposed to ask for ETAs on XDA...
I know I voted for MIUI for the Note and I'm pretty sure the Note won, so they must be at work.
It'll probably pop-up eventually in the form of a nice, new, shiny thread in the development section. No hurries... I'll let them work their magic

Number one rule in XDA, never ask for an ETA to a Developer. Please read before posting.

PS: this thread should be closed
If I knew how to report a thread with the xda app I would've already done it ...
A) don't ask for eta's
B) at least ask in the right place, this is general, questions go in the questions & answers subforum I know... crazy right?

Why dont u ask on MIUI forums? Care to search on google maybe?
Sorry everyone just could not contain the curiosity.. Will go and learn some xda forum manners.

Is there any chance that someone could port/create a miui rom for a500. Obviously v4 so it wouldn't be back tracking to gingerbread. I would think it possible since we have ics working,

@lifecoding, hum? well the porting of MiUi is related to a development question more than an general question... whatever...
@warfenix : the Patchcode is available for MIUI, I think so it possible to be ported.
but since its a question, well then how about q&a?......whatever
Sent from my Iconia A500 using Tapatalk
I think its possible, yes, but you need to find a dev who wants to port it across. That might be the difficult bit...
Seems we need an ASOP rom, or CM ROM running on the tablet, then replace some files... well seems easy to say but dunno about when need to be done...
I will not risk my tablet right now, I need it for work
Hell im game to test, a different rom wouldnt be bad, variety is what the a500 needs...
get an ipad

um he's asking a question, not posting a rom, tutorial, kernel, ect... which is what development section is for.
So uh, belongs in Q&A. Next time think before you type and read xda rules and guidelines.
But.. whatever..

Miui is much more than an iPad. Yes an miui port is possible and "may" being worked on right now. I ported the miui rom to the pyramid for many months and have considered doing one on the A500. But miui is heavily cyanogenmod based. Once cm9 is established on the tablet there are many possibilities for roms. But getting there is the hard part and I am greatful for the people who are working on cm9 for the iconia.

I already tried porting it using this guide. Unfortunately it didn't boot - reached MIUI boot screen and that was all. I used Tegraowners ROM 144 as a base(AOSP based) and MIUI 2.4.6 ROM - tried from several deviced with no luck. I see arrom1983 managed to boot MIUI on Galaxy 10.1" tab - see this thread....but there are no updates on the progress apparently.

robkoehler, sorry my friend but this is completely wrong. Please don't start another flame war about MIUI being the same as iStuff. You can replace default MIUI launcher and still have MIUI functionality that is way better than Android's default . Other that that, there are plethora of features I could count if you want me to.

Are you a moderator? No? oh. Then step off your high horse and start trying to be helpful.
If XDA wants it moved, they'll move it and put a small comment as to why it was moved.
Hi all!
As you may know, or don't know, MIUI China has launched a poll on Facebook which device we want to have MIUI V4 on next. Although the requirements say that they will only port it when ICS is available from manufacturer, I personally think we might make a chance because we already have CM9 running on our device. They could take it as a base to port MIUI V4 officially to our SGS.
Like their page on Facebook and vote for our beloved Samsung Galaxy S!

Thx in advance!

after using AOKP roms i think i will never using miui :
1-AOKP have more customization
2-until now not stable at all even the official build(on my s2) AOKP more stable
3- themes is coming now to cm9 and aokp so no need to miui
4-aokp had official support to sgs miui not
5-battery is better on Aokp roms or cm9
6-do u want more
I voted because hey, the more options the better right, but apparently they have said no a few times and i personally prefer a more AOKP/AOSP rom to MIUI. That said, im not writing miui off, it looks pretty good
miui has out to sgs ;> Samsung Galaxy S
Android: 4.0.4 / MIUI: 2.5.11
I agree to the part that miui is the smoothest of 'em all. Some special system in their framework. Nova launcher is a treat to use on miui.
SGS is voted on second place. This shows how many ppl are still using our phone.

Hello,
will an Android 4.2 Port be released?
With ALL features?
Is there any Android Jellybean (4.1.1 or 4.1.2) with ALL features working? If yes which one?

Please search before posting, or even just GLANCE at the front page of the forum you're posting in to check for a similar thread. Don't ask for ETAs, it will get ported if and when it gets ported, have some patience. As for JB 4.1, once again you could have just searched. There are tonnes of JB ROMs with all of the features working, pick one (which has been recently updated), flash it and enjoy.

Didn't ask for ETA asked if it will be ported or not!
Is Nexus HD2 a good one?

Doesn't matter whether or not you directly asked for an ETA, it's the same difference really. Plus, it doesn't change the fact that you've just created yet another thread about 4.2 when a quick search would have told you the same things that I have.
You'll have to choose a ROM for yourself, most of them are good. NexusHD2 is almost certainly going to be great coming from Tytung and being based on CM. I can't make a decision for you, what works for me won't necessarily work for you.
No
Hello,
There are no 4.2 rom ports out yet, but trust me there will.
Don't forget the HD2 is released on 2009 and keeps going to winmo 8.
So just be patient or flash PACman HD2 until the port 4.2 is released.
Hey guys im testing out the nightlies from cyanogen mod and wanted to check what other people are saying about the rom?
Is there a thread in XDA about it? They have not created a subforum for the note 3 yet on the Cyanogenmod site.

Dear Developers and Other Forum members,
I was thinking, Since the Mi3 is released with almost the same hardware as the Note 3.
Is there a possibility to port MIUI to the GNote 3?
I really like MIUI and so do many others i think.
I would like to hear from some of the devs if they want to make this possible for the Galaxy Note 3 .
MIUI is however Android 4.3 based. So some porting needs to be done i think. Since anyone is running sammy KK or CM KK.
System Dump of Mi3 WCDMA Version(Snapdragon 800 variant) can be found here: http://bigota.d.miui.com/4.3.7/miui_MI3W_4.3.7_14adb1028c_4.3.zip
Greetings,
Paul
I can't wait for miui to be supported on the note 3, but I believe that till miui update there version to miui v6 (4.4) we won't see it running on our notes jest yet.

I sent a pm to an admin of miui official site, hope for some good news. I'm a beta tester member for the HTC One and hope for the GN3 too!
Let's hope for MIUI V6 then. I come from the GS3 which always ran MIUI. Before that i had a Note 1 and a Galaxy S 1. All running MIUI. Now i have a Note 3 without it.
My Note 3 is not Note 3 when MIUI is not around
MIUI has only just been ported to the Nexus 5 - and it's a user port with many many bugs, it'll be quite a while before someone manages it for the Note in all honesty.
I don't think it will happen...... No developer is interested in miui anymore :crying:

Why use MIUI when it not passes 4.3 and only for xiaomi. I think people that expends so much money on a phablet like N3 and then throw away all of the nice features that this phone was built for... I think you should consider buy thos chineese clones and claim them for MIUI!

Yes MIUI V5 is 4.3 so we will only see MIUI if they decide to go to 4.4(MIUI V6) .But NO you won't loose features that this phone was built for as MIUI for the previos notes was build using TW as a Base
apparently there is hope only LTE version (
Since the 4.4 Version of Miui (v5) has been released today for the MI3 (which is almost identical to the note 3)... shouldn't porting be quite easy now? I tried starting my own port but sadly I didn't get it past the bootscreen logo so far. Still tinkering however... :-/
I'm gonna risk life and limb and follow directions from miui to try and port this....no promises though.

True official MIUI is built off CM base.
Note 2 has official MIUI 4.5.16
Note 1 has official MIUI 3.2.22
The ports you see were made by MIUI patchrom software and were not official. So most likely when CM is stabilized, we may see traces of MIUI.

Not correct. MIUI for the HTC One is based on stock Sense ROM. Same with Galaxy S4 its based on stock TW ROM. From what I know so far MIUI for the Note 3 will be based on stock TW ROM too.
I'm a mod at MIUI official site and got this info for the Note 3 from the admin.

Honestly that kinda sucks. My friends with Xiaomi phones experience MIUI with no 'base ROM' and it is lovely.
I'd prefer a CM base with MIUI but if they start taking TW, Spen would be here but I'd give it no chance on my phone as they stick with the clutter Samsung made.
I guess you could say that it's good as Spen is retained and they don't have to wait for CM bugs to be ironed out, but as I've been a follower of MIUI and I've been on the original Chinese forums posting actively on many of my old devices in Chinese, CM was always the best opt for me and anything in between was just a port.
