Does anyone know how to backup the original baseband from DEFY+?
I use, but certanly don't like, the Baseband Switcher, because it doesn't have my county/phone company baseband, and I have to use ones from other countries, it wouldn't be a problem, but haven't found a stable one, I have to be changing to a diferent one every one in a while...
Thanks in advance...
by the way my cel company is IUSACELL from Mexico...

Yes you can. The baseband files are located at /system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default.
I've created an update.zip which contains my stock baseband files that I had shared in the below thread. You may replace the files in that zip file with yours using a compression tool like winzip or winrar and flash it using CWM. If you have a nandroid backup of your stock ROM, it would be easier to extract the files from it.

hello
I have the european rom on my i9000 and would like to change it to the stock arab rom or other non-stock rom that based on the arab rom from many reasons. When i finish to flash it, i have no market and some problems like many close forces etc, im aware that i need to make a factory reset after the flash but it still don't work.
In the past i had the arab rom but since i chanhed it to the european rom i can't go back...
what can i do to change back to the arab rom that will work ok?

you can copy paste vending.apk file from European rom to arab rom with root explorer (rooted phone) to system/app folder

Hi shirhh. What I did was flashed to JPJPA first with pit and re-partition check (I got three files on JPJPA).Then on the phone dialer type *#272*your imei# and change the suitable csc (maybe can try XSG if I'm not wrong). The vending.apk is there, because you are from european rom so the csc was check wrongly and hidden. Do not install anything yet because this method will do hard reset on your phone. Then flash to JPJPG without pit and re-partition if its contain one file only.
Its work for me, hopefully its works for you too. Good luck

I'm wanna to change to JPJPJ and I got to the part when I need change the suitable csc to XSG and I don't have such an option, if it's care my phone is i9000T.
arabic on darky's rom
I'm guessing you want to go to the arabic rom for the use of the arabic language, am I correct, if so why not just flash darky's custom rom version 9.2 that with a darky add on has full arabic support her is the link if you want to try, I would highly recomend it:

If you can get into that part, maybe you can try to check any other than the current one. Just try an error.
hi..i buy my x8 1 week ago and i put the 2.3.2 rom..its work very fine..next, with xrecovery, i put the original backup, the 2.1 original backup, and when i plug in the charger in telephone, the phone turns on..why? sorry for my bad english, im portuguese..
It is caused by xrecovery
and no way to fix this problem?? is this normal? thank you
quick solution is by removing xrecovery joking!! hehe yes i hear that theres a solution by [email protected] one of xrecovery file..but dont remember which thread..try to dig this section more deeper
Install latest xRecovery with FlashTool 0.2.8 and it will work, and is the best solution.
thank you all..but latest xrecovery only install with flash tool? no other way?
No other way... but why would that be a proble for you?
it's no a problem, but i like charge my phone offline..i see in other thread or site, if i modify the chargermon file with notepad, the phone charge offline..is this true?? what the code for this?
I believe the answer is covered in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=998063
Thanks
thank you I have not tried but should work thanks men
As I already said, simply download FlashTool 0.2.8, click Ask Root Permissions, click xRecovery, and it's solved. You can even reboot to recovery directly without having to press back button, through FlashTool
it works thanks blagus
I have some questions:
in roms of racht, he says it is necessary install the baseband 015..some people says if you dont install this baseband, the rom dont work properly..but i install the rom with baseband 006 and the rom works good, so i dont understand if works, why i need change the baseband, this is my first question..
My second question is what is the difference between install roms with xrecovery using restore option and flash a rom with a flashtool?
my third question is about my original baseband..my original baseband is 006, compilation 2.0.1.A.0.47..i can even install the baseband 015..but if i need to take my telephone to the warranty? i need install the original baseband, right? but the basebands 006 of blagus or racht thread are 2.0.2.A.0.24, and mine is 2.0.1.A.0.47. i need the original. i need help. thank you all sorry for my bad english, im portuguese.
I recently bought a flipout in Italy, but when I returned to the USA I found that I only am getting 2G data connectivity on AT&T. I've tried flashing the Brazil baseband already. Is there another I should try, or will I never be able to get 3G on this device in the US? Thanks.

hopefully this will work. Haven't tried it though...
Good luck

You need to find the one that suits your phone's model and original firmware best, and be mindful of downgradeability. I'd pick the one that corresponds to my phone's country of origin and/or region in order to get the proper radio files.

Then you're going to have to take the time to read this and this.
I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of these SBF files have all the languages. I know mine supports Arabic, both input and system language. So just pick one that's closest to your region and/or corresponds to your carrier, and make sure you have the same version as your original ROM.
If you flash a ROM that has a higher CG number than the one you're on, you won't be able to downgrade, or it will not be as simple anymore. If you don't care about this, than just make sure you're flashing a higher version; you won't be able to boot if you're on Gingerbread 2.3 and flash a Froyo 2.2 ROM.
Why you need the stock rom? If you want it for waranty, you have to flash the latest one for where you're from. If you just like the blur, you could have a look at:
