Galaxy Note 1 (N7000) AWESOME STOCK BATTERY LIFE

I have just bought Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 , and after first charging and one day of heavy use I have this :
-6+ hours of screen with automatic brightness..
-few calls
-few sms
-viber
-whatsapp
-subway surfers
-internet
-facebook mostly
-wifi and data used as needed

yep a new battery and new phone does wonders. That will fade within a year, so enjoy it
but ehm, for al fairnes, 6 hours full onscreentime thats pushing it.

I am happy if it reach 3h+ on screen time on mine. But this is very good.

+1.. my fone cannot even reach 4 hrs on screen time although it's a year old now but i am happy being a note owner

I read about Note's battery life before I've bought it . I saw that most users hardly gets more than 3 hours.
I had earlier SGS 2 and I flashed it more times than anybody else to reach better battery life, but always stock wins

the distribution of battery life is dispersed around 3 hours of actually using the device with all radios on, and no black screen. your someone that has a battery that doubles that, the odds of that statistically happening are next to none. Your not fooling anyone here.

lol.. enjoy with your note mate, soon you will realize that you must have bought a note 2 instead of note 1 because of its short battery life after 100 cycles of charging!

stock is good,i feel the battery life is 1/3 better than cm/aosp/aokp and lest bugs.

After one year i get 4 -+ hour screen on stock dbt
but I've never met 6 hours
but whay samsung not made big battrey for the note like s2 ???

Im a new N7000 owner as well as of today (the Exynos chipset, coouldnt resist) and like you, i tend to stick to stock Roms and Kernels.. a choice of nerves not a mis-trust of the boys and girls who do this amazing work. A couple of things Ive learned:
- These specs look impressive, but If youve just flashed your Rom, ide give it 2 or 3 full charges and discharges to settle down before you start shouting about custom roms being incomparable to STOCK, you might not like whats said back to you. If Ive learned anything at all about being on XDA is that you never take anything as "Amazing" when it comes to a stock Rom.

It was an obvious ironical bull, my Nexus 7 battery stats. That screenshot was posted as a reaction to who's-got-bigger spirit of that thread.

How's the battery and available storage?

Hello, I'm thinking about buying a lg nexus 4, i have a iphone 4s and i saw in some reviews, including the gsmarena, that battery is very bad in this phone... But maybe some update made it better, can anyone tell me?
And how much is the available storage in 16gb model? In iphone i have 13.3gb i think.

Storage is 12.92 gb. Battery depends on your usage.

i have 61% remaining after 13h plus of usage with 1hr 16m on screen time (whatsapp, occasional checking of twitter and instagram, watching a few youtube videos) with 3G enabled.
very good battery life i would say. running on sentinel rom though.

do you always turn on turn off the display just to check what's going on, on your phone every 5-10 minutes ? cause I always do that and is that draining the battery that much ?

Checking the clock has no effect on battery use.

i always do that to check on any new notifications, unlocking to clear notifications. but like what calyxim said, it doesn't affect the battery life.

Does anyone have any questions? Always nice to get different opinions. I have been using it for 1 day so far...

Can you test the front cam? Manual options available? Screenshots, sample low light shots, HDR shots....

Front cam gives extremely clear results but only when there is enough light. I will post some pics soon. Hdr is available but Manual mode is not on the front cam.

Battery seems to fairly good, but nothing special. It will get you through a day as long as you dont hammer it. Typically between 3.30-4 hrs on screen time over 13-16 hour day. But you can easily drain it with constant use inside 8-9 hrs. Also the phone supports quick charge 2 as long as you use a supported charger ( not the one in the box). Just tested this. An ofcourse you can replace the battery.

This kind of poor, half of what I get on my G2..
Why did LG make the G4 bigger (longer wider AND deeper) but still with a 3000mAh battery.

That's really bad IMO. Reminds me my old Galaxy S4 ...

Ye thats the battery... But on the plus side the phone is very resposive an quick. Very very minimal lag. And an excellent screen and speaker ( loud and clear surprisingly)

I'm also a power user and I have to say I've gotten 8 hours SOT. When I got this phone I used the daylights out of it. Email social media, YouTube, web and couldn't kill this thing. I agree low light pics aren't good but I do like the camera otherwise. I would have liked to have seen the price around $500 seeing how great the Axon 7 is at $400.

Could you please tell me about the camera lens? I mean to ask about the tiny scratches on the camera lens after usage of a week or two, these scratches are only visible under the light when camera lens is facing the light source. please update about it.

It does, more than B126, but in my experience it will settle after a while. Probably just reindexing for the first couple of days.

You can use FunkyHuawei but you will end up having to restore everything afterwards.

HI,
Im struggling to understand how one is able to attain a SOT of even more than 4 hours. Could the signal strength be a factor for SOT?
I dont have bluetooth turned on nor wifi with automatic screen brightness, i barely get passed 3 hours. Heck, i dont even have the facebook app on the phone.
Please enlighten me on how you have managed to get an SOT of 8 hours. Thanks!:cyclops:

When I play a movie either on facebook or youtube and receive a phonecall, I can hear very loud in the headset at the same time the caller and the movie sound. It also happens with google maps. Does any of you have this issue?

was hoping this device would drop to 500. I just can't justify 600 for a huawei.

Great video, disagree entirely with battery. This is the first phone EVER, that I do not have to charge before bedtime. Real life use. Everything else including the Samsungs will need a charge early evening at least. This one, never.
I agree about the screen... I'd have liked 2k.

That is so true even in my case. I use my phone like usual and I get 3-4 hours of SOT. Last night I went to bed, it was on 16%, so I put it on charge.
I am surprised when people around me talk about 6-7 hours of SOT. Makes me wonder, if my battery is bad, or perhaps I need to reset my phone and start again.
By the way, this is within a week of buying the mobile. I never saw more than 4 hours before last night.

I must say battery life is great . I am a heavy user too n I do not disable any stuffs except GPS ( enabled it only when needed). My MINIMUM SOT is consistently 9 hours . With greater usage of wi-fi 10-11 hours. Is quite similar to my other mi mix with higher capacity battery. These are similar SOT with Mate7, Mate8.
As comparison these are other SOT on my other phones I had used : s7e 6-7, one plus 3t 5-6, V20 5-6, iPhone 7+ usage 11-12

Camera at low light could improve further, it have some software issues.
If noticed that when battery low, the phone throttles graphics and cpu performance, i hope it will be resolved.
Also typing with swiftkey doesn't feel smooth as with my s7e, it has some delays, sometimes though it works fine.

Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 Owner's Thread

I checked and seems like there is no thread for the new Tag Modular 45.
So creating this one as a placeholder, i think it might be time for the tag to get its own section on XDA, but that's not up to me
The new Tag Heuer modular 45 came out officially, and already up for sale.
I personally purchased the black ceramic with Gold Lugs, and am super excited to get it.
Since it is made in Switzerland, it takes 28 days to assemble and deliver. So while i am still waiting for mine, wondering if someone else purchased.

Finally got mine after waiting almost 3 weeks.
Ordered the black Ceramic with Gold Lugs.
Love the design, just wish the battery was bigger.
Android Wear 2.0 is pretty awesome as well.

I agree about the batt life, the owners experience Forum on Calibre11 has been helpful, check that for tips, I am getting the advertised 24-25 hours with WiFi, Bluetooth, etc, all on, seems like doing the batt calibration helps.

would you mind sharing a link to what you are referring to? i would LOVE to learn about the batt calibration. i closed my Wifi GPS, NFC and more to save battery and not getting 25 hours..

Cool, yeah, it would be great to get more than 24-25 hours, but really though, who in this day and age isn't going to have a battery pack or other power supply to hook up to, and can't just live with charging over night. I'm not a TAG homer by any means, there are undoubtedly some kinks with this watch, but from the looks of it, TAG seems pretty invested in the product line, and will likely keep up with the support. We'll see....

I need stock firmware or recovery files to be able to flash using adb as my modular 45 died and got stuck on fastboot .. any help?
