cannot start hero's usb tether

this is the rom I'm using...
JACxHEROski v1.7r2 32A Devices with Amon RA's v1.1.0 Kernel
its working really great, thanks for all your great work guys.. Wifi Tether is working too (though I m having a 32A device) thanks to your reverse enginnering technique.
My problem is that I can not use Hero's embedded USB Tether option. I'm getting an error stating "unable to turn on" when starting the mobile network sharing option..
Can anyone help me fix this?
1000 thanks
Fix application permissions.
Give the terminal emulator a shot.
ENTER:
$ su
# fix_permissions
If that script feature isn't available in his ROM ports, might I suggest uninstalling the application and downloading it from the Wiki site of the updated build from the Wi-Fi tether developers.
fix_permissions is not found. Again, I meant USB tether.. it is not an app i guess, it is embedded in hero rom's code. Any more ideas?

USB tethering with myhero

I am using myhero 1.1.2 with kernel 2.6.27. The flashed Magic is able to connect with HTC Sync software running on my laptop.
However, after turning on Mobile Network Sharing, my laptop can only detect an unrecognized USB device but not a NDIS network interface, which I searched on web that should be installed in order for tethering to work. I tried installing the NDIS driver that comes with the HTC Sync software but no luck.
Does anyone work with USB tethering on Magic with Hero ROM successfully? Thanks a lot.

Tethering with Android 1.6? (CyanogenMod 4.2.4)

I'm running CyanogenMod 4.2.4 on my G1 with Android 1.6
Has anyone been able to tether this configuration successfully?
sorry...this belongs in the devices forum. my bad.
Its as simple as having drivers installed on your computer, and checking the internet tether box in the wireless settings. takes a few seconds for windows to get the RNDIS driver going then you are online.

[Q] Usb tether working in 2.2?

Does anyone have the usb tether option working on a Evo 2.2 Froyo? I know it worked in 2.1 as internet sharing, but Sprint seems to have disabled it for 2.2. I'm just wondering if anyone has found a rom that has it enabled besides cynanogen.
Thanks
there was a thread that it worked. do you have root access
Edit
http://code.google.com/p/android-wired-tether/
this is the apk you need if you have root
I'm running the stock rooted froyo update 3.28.651.1 with the latest WiFi tether (pre-9) and its working fine. Just root your phone and download the source code from Google. Don't download the earlier packages as well as the one in the market, because they don't appear to work.
For the wired tethering option:
If you connect it to your computer via USB, there is an option under the "Connect to PC" sub menu that will put your phone into USB tethering mode, or you can go to the "Wireless and Networks" sub menu and check it from the box at the very bottom under mobile network.

NexusHD2 & Reverse Tether

Hi everyone i'm trying to use the reverse tether app with my NexusHD2 2.4. The app seems legit but the problem is located to the device drivers.
I'm running Windows 7 ultimate x64. Currently my device is recognized as Android Composite ADB interface
Even normal tethering is not connecting and i get a usb fail.
i've read that i need the Remote NDIS based internet sharing device driver to work i was unable to find one working.
Is there anyone solved this problem. If yes please provide the appropriate drivers.
Thanks a lot
p.s. Yes, i really really need usb reverse tethering and no there it to possibility to share through wifi.
I think that unfortunately currently is not possible to do that, but if you use the search maybe you can find some help.
