[Q] Beats audio screen freeze - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi all,
I have tried to install several android roms now. All of them getting stuck at the beats audio boot animation. Then there is only the beats animation sound and its looping.
Before I had an android rom installed but this one was to slow...
Windows Phone and Windows Mobile both work.
Now I do not know what to do!??!
I´ve hspl 2.08 and magldr installed.
Please help

radio is 2.15.50.14. I have got an Europe phone.
I tried the following roms so far:
Pixeldroid ast Edition RC2
mwakiousRUNNINGrom_v.8.3_Poseidon_multi
paranoid and Hyperdroid.
Is it possible that my problem occures because of the aroma installer?
Or maybe because my phone is a vodafone version?

What are your partition sizes?

+1 to checking the partition size, it's the most common reason for a ROM not booting up/hanging at the bootanimation.

my partition size should be ok. I repartition my phone each time i am flashing a new ROM!
My last repartition was 220mb system and 5mb cache

I think the problem was with your partitions. When you partitioned your phone with a 220 mb partition, maybe due to bad blocks, a bit less was partitioned. like maybe 210 or 200mb. For desire sense roms the partition size is 220, i think, so you may want to flash a 230 or 240 mb partition.

ok now its allright. Sense does work!!
I restored a Rom a friend of mine gave me and now its all working
I think the problem was that something in the installing progress went wrong...

Tutorial video to install WP7 on your HTC HD2

For those looking to get WP7 on the HTC HD2, I've assembled one of my tutorial videos for it
Enjoy, and let me know if you have any questions. Next up, activating live services

All hail WP7 on the HTC HD2! So glad I bought this instead of the TG01 or Nexus One
Nice bro. Good work. One thing people really need to know is that WP7 will format your SD card.. Everyone keep this in mind and dont lose your files!
will it work on the touch pro 2 gsm wvga
I see that's a EURO HD2, i thought the readme said only 1024 TMOUS versions work?
Btw one question, if you want to revert back to Android, is it the same process of getting a NAND rom and installing the .exe again?

No. First off, the HTC HD2 is the only device capable of running WP7 (Capacitive touch, 1ghz QSD, etc). Second off, this ROM is designed for the HD2, so I'd assume it would brick your Touch Pro 2, even if you could manage to make it flash. Sorry.
How do i backup my nand rom? Or do you only have to backup you SD card?

I assume so... the readme says you can flash back to Windows Mobile, so worst comes to worst, flash to Windows Mobile and then back to MAGLDR. But you should be able to just flash Android NAND.
And yes, it is a European HD2 (not sure what carrier). Everything is working fine, and if I recall, the T-Mobile US version will be forced to 512 if you flash this. Read that in the readme I believe, or maybe I'm confusing something. Either way, it works great on my European HD2.

This will replace *everything* on your device, including your SD card contents, so I'd back up your important files and take that SD card out before trying it.

Ok, but there's no way i can backup my android installation. So when i reinstall android i don't have to reconfigure android.

I've never used Android NAND, but I would have to assume your Android configuration will be lost, unless there's an application that will back it up and store it somewhere for reuse.
Does it work on my HD2 T9193 Telstra? Since my device only has 512MB Rom, NOT a tmobile version has 1GB Rom.

My European HD2 has 512mb rom afaik, and it's working fine. To quote the readme, also:
"LEO1024:
At current moment LEO1024 supported, but only 512 megabytes of NAND is used. "
So I assume the Telstra version will work too, if you're willing to give it a shot.
Good luck!

I want to say "yes", you should be able to slip it in the microSD slot and it should automatically format. Of course, it'll be WP7-only forever, so be careful!

You can backup your nan android search this site It makes a backup file on you sd card you can copy to your computer, you have to boot into that first screen by holding down on power button while phone boots

Hi
which version of HD2? 512eu or t-mous?
Perhaps the recovery partition you used is uncorrect...

ok, I think you used uncorrect recovery...
You have to download cwr 3.02.4, and modify flash.cfg. I wrote a little guide yesterday, you can find t here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256610
post no. 8, it helped the user, I hope can help you too. This post referred to a tmous hd2, but it's the same thing for eu version. The only difference is the partition... You have to modify it like that:
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 5M
system ya 195M
cache ya 5M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
Then, if you don't have, you have to do ext partition on sd card...
If I helped you please click thanks button, otherwise please ask me here and I'll try to explain better...
Ok I will give this a try and let you know.
Just a quick question,if I follow your instructions will I still be able to load cm7 back to my hd2or will I have to follow another set of instructions to get back to cm7

yes sure... It's necessary for apps2sdgui...
This is what you have to do:
1. format your sd card (fat32)
2. go to cwr
3. choose ad recovery
4.choose advanced
5.choose partition s. you can choose the size as you prefer, it depends on the capacity of your sd, but it can be max 2gb... swap must be 0.
6. done

this procedure will erase your sd,so make a backup:
in mgldr-ad recovery-advanced-partition sd card-1024 (or 2048)-0
so you'll have 1gb or 2gb sd-ext3 partition with 0 swap size

[Q] -HD2 doesn't boot anymore - need help!!!

Hi guys!
I bought my HD2 a view month ago with android already installed (v. 2.3.6).
Everything worked very smoothly.
BUT two days ago I restarted my phone and since then it "sticks" at the HD2 boot screen and won't boot into the OS.
Any ideas what it could be and how to fix this?

If the task29 doesn't work, make sure you're using the correct CWM partition size, even ones which are too big can cause problems sometimes. Sticking to the one recommended tends to be the best idea, it takes literally 3 minutes to flash a new partition size anyway. If you have bad blocks you may want to have a slightly higher size, but other than that sticking to the recommended size is best.
first task29, then flash radio, MAG or CLK, new ROM

I've had it on NAND some time ago. Installed it on SD-Ext yesterday and I've same freezes as in the other NativeSD ROMs. When I'm playing a game of just doing something (like YouTube or Facebook) it freezes and there's only one option to get it back (reset).
Can I speak with somebody about the NativeSD method and the procedures I'm performing during installation of NativeSD ROM ? I think I'm doing everything good and it's always the same (freezes).

I have a 32GB (http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/microsd/ultra-class10-for-android/?capacity=32GB), a little slower than yours.
I got "error 10 I/O..." for my native SD install (CMight http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1912740) some times or some apps get FC. Same behaviour with Nexus JB (tytung) ROM.
Never had this issue before with (same roms) Nand installations and data-on-ext4 with a Sandisk 16GB class4. I suspect HD2 doesn´t handle fast cards very well..

I tried. I used 280 system partition. If you have class 10 sd card you can use your sd card's ext partition as internal memory with this script: initrd_patcher_v2.zip. Everything is fine. v3.5.17 didn't worked because i think it's a bug. Because every older and newer version worked for me but 3.5.17 didn't worked. Sorry for my english.
