Why bother posting in the thread if its not related to the OP topic?!
@vickysud theres a thread on 2.1 already on the forum please use that for discussion or start a new thread asking FRAPSROOTET directly please!
@All who are confused... The OTA version of the builds is a patch version which downloads only the bits that need to change.. the SEUS or PCC version downloads the complete file and in my experience the SEUS version was actually a bit slicker.
A new version of Xperia R2BA027 is out I will upload as soon as I download It,
I don't have an xperia at the moment but someone can try it.
is official update I don't know from wich country but hey is worth tryin.
So here it is, if someone want's to try give it a try.

Run Seus
I am uploading it in, and as soon is uploaded I will give a link.
I have a mobile service shop and in one of the tools I just saw an update and I download, now i am uploading and put a link here,.
also there is a new version for x10a R2CA027, if any interested let me know i will download and upload that also.
thanks!!!
Just run SEUS and PCC and got no updates for my X10i running UK Generic R2BA026.
+1 for x10a R2CA027
You're not talking about THIS are you?
iit's a complete firmware released by se, I don't know what is about but who ever have xperia is no harm trying, i just saw just tryin to help give out new versions, ok I will download R2CA027 and I will upload that to,.
when I am finished I will post a link here
And where did you get this firmware file from??
Seems a bit strange that they would release it so soon before 2.1. Thanks, but with not long to go I'll pass unless it's a significant change from 026.
did you read all the msg?
This firmware update not 2.1.
It's a 1.6.
I think its a Japan or China ROM.
Very old firmware same as R2BA026.
I I don't know if it's 2,1 I hope so though,
Maybe it's chinese i don't have an xperia at the moment to test it, I said I have a toll in my service and just went to see through update files I saw that version of xperia so I just want to uploadit to se is there any change or not, or maybe it works better than 026 I don't know

Sorry guys, doesn't look like 2.1 is on there yet.
I too would like the X10a version.
Did you install the DT update? If so, you will be prompted that an update is available. If you do it, it will install the same ROM but you will lose ROOT and DT.
If you load back the original kernel.sin file from the .024 Global NAM firmware and run SEUS again, it will tell you have the latest software.
So dont update now by SEUS
flash kernal.sin is better because SEUS remove root access
There arent any update for mine :S
Can't confirm.

Does this update change anything besides adding MT feature and removing JIT and root? Because I already implemented this onto .024 with Bin4rY's method.
So, anything new besides MT? I don't think SE released a changelog, right? They never do...

Dualtouch in browser and google maps, isn't that enough for you??
I'm curious as to why SE even produced a X10a.

in-call volume any better?
hrmmz i did the flash update for dt or mt but i do not see a difference, i download multitouch tester app and i do touch twice and get a 1 and 2 and i can pinch spread etc.. so im assuming it works, on home screen i can pinch in and all three home screens will appear as smaller windows kinda like the browser pages do. So is this the dual touch we expect?? I notice no difference in browsers.
I just checked SEUS running CDA 1234-4820 X10a 2.0.2.A.0.24 and there IS and update. I did not update until someone can confirm that we can root the new update?
I can NOT confirm if this for DT or not.
Sony has certified two new firmware's at PTCRB !!!
The first one based on 4.1.2 (i think), it is the 10.1.1.A.1.319 at Jun 4, 2013.
The second one based on 4.2.2 or maybe 4.3 (i think), it is the 10.3.A.0.407 at Jun 4, 2013, too.

Unlocking bootloaders has nothing to do with Flashtool. But yes, as long as you don't unlock your bootloader you can pretty much do whatever you want.
We're talking about flashing with flashtool, but how many people that own the phone never heard/went on XDA how many of them never heard of flashtool. All of those people rely on their operators to push updates.

That's right. Before flashing anything to your phone, it's always a good idea to create a backup of the original firmware customization, so that you can easily restore your phone to factory state if required, especially if it's difficult to find an FTF file online with your customization.
Luckily, there is also a way to return to your original customization without FTF file, but it requires a rooted phone with a locked bootloader:
[GUIDE] Download ANY firmware customization with SUS and create an FTF with Flashtool

Thanks. I'll try Emma again soon. Ironic really - Emma is a Sony developer tool which is meant to give updates a bit sooner than the usual methods
For those of us that are on Cyanogen, is there any way of finding out if the FTF has any important firmware updates in there?
I can rename the .370 FTF to ZIP and see all the sin files, but the vast majority I am unsure about.
Otherwise, I can always nandroid and do it that way

Relock your BL or wait for a ftf.
The problem is not using a custom rom and update with pcc (the rom doesn't matter but the kernel yes), it's when your bl is unlocked you can't update via SUS/PCC no more.

Ok, sounds like a good compromise
When someone uses PCC to download the firmware, is a local copy stored?
Just wondering what the chances of getting this file are!
I like everything is this update, except the recent apps tray. Swiping away should always be 'swipe across' not 'swipe up or down'.
Few new features might have been nice, but can't complain. At least it's arrived!
It also has the thumb keyboard!
