Reinstall rom.

Try reconfiguring the status bar within the Android settings: Settings -> Notification Drawer -> Show power widget. If this option is not ticked, enable it. If it is, disable it, reboot and then reenable it. Does it show now?
XphX

Thr Is No Notification Drawer Option In Settings.

This is correct - this option is not available on your version of Android, my fault. In this case I have no solution for you. Reinstalling the ROM solves your problem, you can backup your call history, your SMS, MMS, contacts etc. via MyBackup Root. This will make sure that you do not loose any data. The backup is compatible to newer versions of Android too.
XphX

Use titanium backup.

see this site
http://www.enfeuman.com/2011/05/19/how-to-hide-notification-bar-on-android-phones/
and do the reverse procedure in order to make appear instead of hiding the bar
or else install a third party software like this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EsImRlLmo0dmVsaW4ubm90aWZpY2F0aW9uVG9nZ2xlIl0.
in my opinion it is the best

Best to re-brush firmware.

No status bar after Full Screen activated with Pie
I had this problem after I added Pie to my quick setting panel and then selected it. Finally figured out what happened. To get the status bar back I held down the power button and selected Full Screen (Pie), which switches from Enable/Disable.
I'm using Paranoid Android based on 4.2.2 with Samsung GS3.

[Q] ROM for Kiosk mode of Iconia

I was trying to develop a custom ROM to operate Acer Iconia A500 in Kiosk mode. i.e., Hide system notification bar, Turn off system updates, allow only our app to run and secured access to settings panel. While for
1. hiding system notification bar - I can disable SystemUI.apk
2. To turn of system updates - Asus and other devices have SystemUpdater.apk or Updater.apk. But looks like Acer does not have it.
3. Allow only our app to run - Is there any modification I need to do of applications.apk?
4. Secured access to settings panel - This can be done through a pwd/login through the app as well.
But my question is, Is there any ROM out there which will help me achieve all the above? Since, I am just starting on this guidance from XDA members would help me tremendously.
Thanks,
Theja

ideas for you:
-use a ROM that has updates disabled.
-use gesture control from the play store to hide the system bar, and make it a complicated gesture, so that people won't accidentally show it
-either make it so your app does not need the back and menu buttons, or make simple gestures for them (EG, swipe with one finger from the right bezel)
hope this helps

There are no roms that are currently built. You would have to get with one of the Rom Dev's, and have them put together a custom job.
Updates, can be removed by removing FDUpdater and/or FWserviceupdater. I generally remove both from my roms (usually can't remember which does what)
Notification bar can be nuked by changing the xml and commenting the command lines. Then recompiling. The issue would be, when opening the settings app. You'd have no nav more than likely.
Having only one app that can run, would require some extreme expertise. And some extreme stripping of the rom. It can be done though, at least with about 95% of the apps. A couple of apps, might have to be left, as they are linked to either system or framework. Maybe.
As with settings access, and password control over it, not sure if this can be done easily. Would have to check password control apps to use as an overlay.
Like I advise, get with a Rom Dev would be your best option.

Is it possible to hide the 3 dot menu button in apps?

Now that many people have changed their navigation bars to have the menu button, will it be possible to hide the 3 dot menu button that appears in apps (for example the one that appears in chrome)?
It depends on the ROM. In xylon, in xy settings, nav bar, I have the option for menu visibility that I can change.

You need a custom rom to do it, stock does not support it. I use paranoid and the option is available. Some apps automatically hide the buttons.
I think you guys may have misunderstood me, but excuse me if I'm wrong. I do not mean the small dots that actually appear in the navigation bar itself, I mean the dots that appear inside the actual app, which sometimes actually create a whole bar for themselves.

You would have to mod the app itself and then most likely lose the ability to access menus such as the settings menu since we don't have a hard menu button to do this.

Notification bar pull-down no longer works

Hey guys. So yesterday all of a sudden I just couldn't pull down the notification bar anymore. After factory resetting my phone it still didn't work so I assume the digitizer is broken.
Now I don't really have money to replace it and I don't want to break even more of my phone so I'm looking for an alternative way to pull down the notification bar which should be working system-wide (maybe through a softkey press or gesture?)
I'm running the latest AOSPA 4.6 Beta 2 if that's of any relevance.
I would be really thankful if someone could help me as it's really annoying to not being able to pull the notifications down.

first, try flashing factory images then test.. if it still doesn't work, its the digitizer.
use a launcher that has a shortcut to pulldown the statusbar, or add a button on the navbar to do it (xposed and some ROMs like slimkat can do that)

I've already tried that, doesn't seem to work for me. The notification bar can be pulled down when in landscape mode. However if the navigation bar is at the notification bars usual spot, it won't work either. So I'm pretty sure it's the digitizer.
I need a system-wide solution so the launcher isn't an option as it would only work on the homescreen. I already looked into xposed modules but I can't seem to find one which allows me to set a button for notification pull-downs.

GravityBox module has navbar customization and if i remember right it has a button (or a tap and hold action) that pulls it down. check that module.
Thanks a lot! That did the trick. I was using Xblast previously and it didn't have such an option. Works just fine in GravityBox! It'll take a while to get used to it but you just made my day.

How to Access System UI Tuner in EMUI 5.0! (no root)

By default you are unable to access the system UI tuner in emui. With this app (ALL CREDIT TO LEEDROID) you are able to add various shortcuts to your quick settings tiles. One of these is UI tuner, which will bring you to the settings unlike holding the settings cog.
Note that this method is sometimes rather buggy when getting to the menu, and it works best if your settings application is cleared from recent apps.
Just download the app, hit edit in your quick settings, drag the UI tuner to your quick settings and you're set to go.
Don't give up if it won't work on the first press! Clear your recent apps and give it another shot.
App link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.leedroid.shortcutter
I discovered this a while back on the Mate 9, but unfortunately most of the functions don't work so there's really no point to it.
I tested this, but if I'm right, not many of those new settings in System UI tuner work in Honor 8. I did not get Power notification controls to do anything new (no new settings appeared in app notification settings). Similarly turning on Do not disturb mode shortcut seemed to once flash the options in the volume popup, but after that... nothing. The only thing I managed to get to work was to remove icons from status bar.
Or did I do something wrong?

No, you did it correctly. Some of the settings may not work properly due to the EMUI skin. The issues you listed are probably why honor had it hidden in the first place. But there are still some useful settings in there.
There is simpler method to do that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm8PEYKrjrw
However SystemUI is very limited, nothing useful to do

Missing toggles in notification bar (Android 7.1.1)?

Hi y'all !
I just bought Nokia 6 last night and notice that there are some toggles missing in the notification bar which are available in my other phone running Android 7.0.
Such as the screenshot toggle, Volume toggle, sound profile toggle and so more, they are obviously not in the "Drag to add tiles". I hope Nokia didn't remove them.
Also, how i can make the battery percentage indicator appear next to the battery icon instead of inside the battery icon?
If you enabled System UI Tuner you can enable battery percentage.
To turn on Sytem UI Tuner, you need to press the little cog symbol in the corner of the toggle window until ut rotates. After that you find the system ui tuner menu in the bottom of the settings menu. And there under status bar you can enable battery percentage. As far as the other tiles are concerned, I don't know uf they are part of the rom.

Yeah, I know, sorry. But until some devs come along and actually start developing ROMs and stuff for this thing that's all we can get for now I assume.
By the way, the Gallery app is also missing from Nokia 6, Google photo is standard default photo viewing app now?

missing a lot of tiles bother me too, but there are apps out there that can add tiles, so it's not much a big problem.

the more i look at it, the more missing features i find. I just came across a review about this phone on YouTube, strangely enough there are some settings from the video are not available on my phone.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmj17fDxuYk
The missing settings i was talking about are at 3:03 and at 3:42 in the video.
Yup no Gallery app in this one. I don't like google fotos either, so I disabled it and installed Quick Pic instead. It's a good app.
Hello! Help with the decision, please!
I bought a Nokia 6 in China, the version was 7.0, and the function updated the update 7.1.1 and tried to install it via Recovery from the SD card, at the last stage received an error message. Now the phone is downloaded only in Recovery, and then the download is not. What can you recommend? How to restore the phone? What is the version of the firmware?
Well, adb sideload works on the phone. But I don't know any place to download Roms or OTA files.

the one in the video is the first release version (TA-1000, china exclusive i think). the launcher app is different from the Taiwan release version(TA-1003).
TA-1003's launcher app is a modified version of launcher3, while TA-1000's looks like it's called launcher+(at 3:08 in the video you linked.)
