Does anybody have a clean stock nandroid backup of this version and would be willing to upload it somewhere?
I'm currently trying to update to ICS (via the OTA update.zip), but am running into problems as 86 files from my own nandroid backup do not match the SHA1-Hashes specified in the update-script.
Here is a list of the files that are 'bad' in my backup: https://gist.github.com/2789684
If you don't have a backup, but would be willing to get those files from your installation via adb and upload them somewhere, I would be eternally grateful.
Another thing that would help me, would be a clean nandroid backup of the ICS OTA.
Me too !
Looking for something like that too.
I also :-(

Send me a PM, i will give you a Dropbox Link for a clean 089 WE Nandroid Backup.
Would like to get this, too.

Missing some files and .obex
May I ask you for the link too.
Because I have a backup of 0076_WE but forgot to backup some files after 0089_WE update (for example, PinyinIME and it's .odex file)...
Hi,
Could I please get a link to the nandroid backup too, also missing apps that keep me from installing ICS. Thanks!
Hi,

I have manged to flash the first step now im on 2.1

i also tried installing it also got an error
what is wrong can some one help us
waiting for u help thanks in advance guys
little thing i extracted the nand zip and posted it in the root of the sd card
nandroid backups must be placed on sd card in /clockworkmod/backup/
also note that there must be a sub-directory within /clockworkmod/backup that contains the nandroid files
such as: /clockworkmod/backup/my_nandroid/ <--- your nandroid files go in here
thanks alot zyxwvut
No problem I hope you got it all sorted.
Ya know, without these threads I would've been stuck with an expensive paper-weight a long time ago. It's all about being a community and helping each other. Thats what we try to do here

I'm having an error too, try to do this but still get the error when trying to install the nandroid backup.
Here is what i did:
I place the zip file on sd card in /clockworkmod/backup/
also I unzip the file and place the files under: /clockworkmod/backup/my_nandroid
after trying to instal the zip i get this error: "E:Error in /system/bootmenu/script/recovery.sh
(Result: No such file or directory)"
I guess I'm either doing something wrong or the zip file is missing something!
im having the same here
cant run nandroid/flash rom/factor reset via cwm
I have CWM installed and have been able to flash roms in the past. But now, when ever i try to flash a rom, run a nandroid backup, or a factory reset… it just basically wipes out my user info. Goes back to stock with all of my applications still loaded so i get bazillion force closes. I have verified my nandroid and it is good… i just cant get cwm to load it. Any ideas? thx in advance!

There is no better ROM
Actualy, we should try both CM7 and CM10 and choose what to use, I've chosen CM7 because I've had problem with 3G connection on CM10, it's slow and I cound't actvate wifi tether without doing a workaround.
I currenty running Thor rom 14.2 and i want to return to stock 3.1.
I have a nandroid backup but accidentally i deleted .txt files inside.
Could i restore it or my tablet will brick
anyone??
First of all: Remember xda-developers is quite international so the person with the answer to your question may be asleep or working at the time you post...
Other than that: If you deleted part of your backup that's bad. You may get away with a partial (possibly non-functional) restore, or restore may fail altogether... Both shouldn't brick your tab, but you might have to do a full wipe and configure your rom from scratch; it may well be worth trying a restore, though, as you won't be causing any more damage anyway if your tab doesn't work anymore. Just make another nandroid backup in case you decide things were better before you hit the restore button... As long as you don't accidentally kill your recovery, android devices are incredibly hard to brick.

I just checked a number of nandroid backups of mine and the only ".txt" file that I could see was uid.txt in the main backup directory that contained the ".img", ".tar", and ".md5" files.
You could just run another nandroid BU of your current system and copy over the uid.txt file from that one to replace the one that you deleted. The uid.txt file should be the same from one BU to the next.
Jeff.
Thanks
Thanks for your help
So if i create a .txt file with my id number my restore will work?
Is there another way to restore to stock.

If you just put a text file with some random information in it, it may not work right.
Here is the procedure that was suggested:
Make a backup of your current settings
make a copy of the text file in that most recent backup
place that copied text file in the backup with the missing text file
try to restore the backup that was missing the text file, which you just copied the text file to

BUMP anyone ??
It takes only 10minutes provided you are running ICS 4.0.4 :l
I'm currently uploading CWM system of 4.0.4 for Arc to Google Drive, but I have slow upload so it will be around 45-60 minutes at least before I have a link for JJ.
This is compressed system and data folder.
Not CWM, not img

PS:
IF you add META-INF and proper update-script, can be used for CWM updating
This is CWM backup of the system image LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_Generic World FR :

and this is the rest of the CWM backup in case anyone wants it:

Take no notice of the date on the files being 1980. I took the backup before the first startup so that there would be no changes to the files and the current time wasn't set at that stage.
Both parts are 7zipped.

Warning, LT15 CWM system.img backup does not contain all files. LT15 has also vendor files, about 90Mb.
If you format system partition, and restore from those backups. You will lose lots of apk. FC everywhere
Suggest you to use LT18 files, less bloatware (LT15 has annoying France applications)
Thank you guys for the links... It made sure that Arc update comes side by side with other devices...
I am on it and done with 90% of the ROM... Only one bug to fix and then its ready for release...
Needed these Arc files to ensure you guys get Original drivers optimized for ur devices and not some ported one...
even if I couldnt manage those bugs I will come out with a Fully functional test release in 24-48hrs....

Huh?? Since you only uploaded zips I assume you are referring to my CWM backup img. What files do you claim are missing?

Can someone else confirm this claim? Which apks are missing?
I just formatted system and restored from my CWM backup, a short while ago, when I saw this post. I don't see anything missing, and no FC.
If there really is something wrong with my backup that I can't detect, then I apologise. But, since I have been able to restore successfully without problems, I'm not convinced.

You dont need to worry about that... I know what to do ..
Excellent
Looking forward to the ROM
Should this be stickied so that other Devs can make use of arc libs directly ?
Hello,
I accidentally have deleted the stock Gallery App of my Galaxy Y. Before deleting I made a Backup with Titanium, but it seems that Titanium is backing up the apk files only, there is no Backup of the odex file. I tried to reinstall the apk but it failed cause the system is missing the odex file.
So I would be deeply grateful if someone here could provide me the following file: com.cooliris.media.odex - it is located in system/app
Thanks so much in advance!
Julia
Here you go: http://uppit.com/8whioefokxpx/Gallery3D.odex
Is that it? Got this off my 2.3.6 XXLA2. Hope it works.
Thank you so much Mitko... but unfortunately my Gallery.apk and this odex do not match . Could you please be so kind and upload your gallery.apk too? So I will try again. Thank you!!
Greetings from germany
Julia
Here you go, hope it works.

Are you using correct kernel for the restored rom?
My backups have .android_secure.vfat.tar file too.
