Regarding the launch of Galaxy note in India, theres no concrete info as of now, but some online sources point it to a Nov 1st week release. Will update as soon as more info is available.
According to Samsung mobile facebook page the launch in India is happening on 2nd of November:

UPDATE (2nd Nov 2011)

Samsung Galaxy Note launched in India with a MRP. of Rs.34990/- and will be available everywhere within a weeks time starting today. Also the first 100,000 units will come with a free complimentary leather case worth 2200/-.
Now the bad news: on asking the samsung people about ICS update for galaxy note they couldnt comment neither about availability nor could confirm whether it would be updated to ICS at all.
UPDATE: According to one of the tech reviewing sites igyaan (who were present at the india launch event), they have confirmed from samsung officials that Galaxy note will indeed get ICS update. That seems promising !

According to samsung's official facebook page, Galaxy Note would be available from tomorrow 4PM onwards at GIP Mall, Noida. According to androidos.in website it would be available at other retail shops from next week onwards.

Actually I got it from eBay, the seller had decent reviews so I thought what the heck. I couldn't get it ordered from online German retailers since the only one which could ship to India was charging me 290 Euro for shipping. It is set to be shipped today and then delivered within 3-5 business days, hope it goes well.
EDIT : It was 820$(USD) plus 79$ for shipping. I'm not sure what the import duty will be, but I'll deal with it.

I only had to pay 14% for my ipad 2, it can't be more than that. Plus I chose fedex which has there own custom clearance department so it gets processed faster.

That's still so expensive..smh.. hope its price is lower when it launches in India.. 40k+ Rs is just too much.. its supposed to be a hybrid of galaxy tab 750 and a galaxy s2.. so ithe price is supposed to be in between.. but since Samsung doesn't want to interfere in the sell of the new galaxy tab, it is costlier.. and besides there is still no other product in d phoblet department to compete with the galaxy note.. so its goin to be expensive here too ,I guess

Samsung Galaxy S III hits Dubai a week early, costs $680

The Samsung Galaxy S III has arrived in Dubai a week earlier than expected and is already on sale for $666.
This has been confirmed by a vigilant Reddit user who noticed an "Available Today" sign under the S III name in a mall store in Dubai. Speaking to an employee he gathered that the store has plenty of Galaxy S III units in stock and all being white variants (no word on which internal storage version it was but we're guessing 16GB).
Other users have also found the phone available (and purchased it) but for around $680. We guess a hefty bunch of people who pre-ordered the Galaxy S III will be less than impressed right about now.
One of the visitors of such a store sent us the pic you see on the left. Unfortunately, the store has already ran out of stock when he got there, but reportedly, more units are on the way, due in the next few days. He confirms the phone was priced at 2500 AED or about US$680.

The news is confirm as most of my friends waiting for that got it, its only 16 gb pebble white available

The cost officially in middle east is 2499AED ..and that was announced during sneak peak in dubai. here in doha its also available for prebooking at 2699AED and be available early next week.

In fono store (Mall of Emirates) it was on sale at AED 2449, the were out of stock yesterday and promised stock for blue GS 3 today.

Does it have arabic support pre-installed in it?

680$ are 537€ for the version of 16gb and here in Greece the first price i saw was 669€ !!!

i have got a call from samsung in Dubai mall regarding my SG3 today and they confirmed that they only have 16GB whiter color available right now but didnt inform me about the price and as i heard from one of the sales representatives he told me its going to be 2499 DHS and it has arabic language pre installed i cant wait to leave work and get my SG3

Better news though is that The Note 4 will be priced at £479.17 (£575 inc. VAT) which is nearly £100 cheaper than I expected, considering the Galaxy Alpha is priced higher.

Saudi sellers cannot confirm note edge availability I'm getting worried on this

The 1st Romanian site is known for having small prices UNTIL the official launch of a product to attract clients, and make them pre-order, and than the prices will go up.

One Thousand One Hundred & Ten bucks, holy blueballs batman.....thats a ridiculous price for a phone! If I'm gonna pay that much for a phone it better be made out of gold! The devs probably got 75 to 100$ in making the dog gone thing, they probably go from dumpster to dumpster looking for scrap TVs / computers and snatch the circuit boards and motherboards then retrofit/rebuild to Sammie's specs, ya think? It would not surprise me.

I still think the price isnt right.
they say the Note 4 is $845
But i know for a fact at tmobile its $750 then if you add tax its bout $811
So just off of that i believe the price will be lower then $1,110
Im still thinking it will be in the $850 to $950 range.
But only time will tell. The word out is that after the note 4 ship. That following week they should release more infor on the edge preorder and pricing.

Yes, it appears to be only available (sim-free) at the higher price of ~£430 from both Carphone Warehouse and the Sony Mobile GB site. I think I read somewhere, maybe here, that it's to encourage buyers to take it on contract.

It is available with Expansys as well.

unfortunately expansys is the only company that asks you to preorder and put your credit card details in without telling you how much they'll bill. Probably hoping you'll forget to check (yes you can cancel)

Since today some Dutch webshops (and propably stores) have all the colors in stock and make no difference in price by the color you want.

nvm turns out the product code has the phone name for expansys, 5803.
i asked them for some shipping ETA but they have no idea so far.
that said its the cheapest green 5803 exported to the USA so far. (obviously 100 bucks more than clove if you don't get green)

Here in HK its available in all 4 colours at the major retailers like fortress. Same price for all $4398 HKD. With a ton of extras thrown in.
Pity we don't get the noise cancelling headphones included...read in some review that certain countries get it with the phone.

I spoke with one of the support guys at Expansys. Their shipment of green Z3C will arrive on Tuesday Does anyone know if it's worth waiting for the US Sony store to release this? What's the typical price difference between Expansys USA and the Sony store?

Apparently sony has a press conference scheduled for october 9th in nyc. Possible US availability announcement?

it makes sense - thats the time they need to ship it from europe today, to them, including the weekend.
i dont think sony will ship earlier than expansys if they do announce US availability. But it might be not very far apart.
In general sony doesnt release to the US directly only through carriers and even so its pretty rare and very late. so generally expansys usa has them way before sony/carriers (month(s)). but this time around it could be that sony has them a week or two later who knows.
All I know is.. i should get mine next week at this rate

I would say it's somewhere around 15-20 % depending on sending country VAT (plus customs expences?).

The Samsung representatives in Jarir said it'll be available to buy on the 10th of April. Fingers crossed they have enough for everyone on that date!

There are no info about release date in Lebanon, you can just reserve one.

Yes I'm in bahrain and I booked mine from samsung and I wanted the F green but when they said it will not be released before mid may I went with the black s6 flat.....

O lucky u my friend here in bahrain I tried to tell them please give the device at 9th as its a gift for my wife and the said we can't it's impossible e cause its breaking the rules with samsung ..... shame , please let me know how is the device any scratches anything because some customers for the states claim they have all scratched devices out F the box

I got their email too but I am here in Az Zulfi and will go to Riyadh on the 9th. The email said they will hold the unit until 9. A free case? I was wishing it would be the wireless charger. LOL. What is the case?
Anyway, my friend pre ordered on the first day too a 32 GB edge Gold. And he received an email saying it is not available. Instead they are offering the normal s6 in white and black or edge 64 gb black.
Can you take a photo of the case they are giving as a gift?

I would have loved the Wireless charger too! The case is the 'Clear Cover' case from their official accessory list - I'm at work now and couldn't take a pic but here it is:
It's hard plastic but pretty useless as it provides quite minimal protection. Jarir do have other official cases available like the flip and view cases.
I can confirm that my S6 and my friends S6 both have the issue decribed in the linked thread - though its pretty hard to see it in mine, it's definitely there.
Another thing, the shipping firmware for the Saudi region is ANCIENT, almost prototype like - dated 28th Feb! It doesn't even have alphabetical sorting of the apps yet and the battery is so terrible that its almost unusable. I charged it to 100% yesterday and used it at half brightness for 1 hour and 41 minutes and the battery fell to 17%. Let it charge again overnight, woke up at 6:00am and haven't touched it at all because I'm scared and saw at 8:30am that it fell to 67% without any usage. I think they're not letting retailers sell it before the 10th because they're going to push out an update that the user is to download immediately.

shoudlnt you be getting an update as soon as you open it? i remember the note 4 when i bought it asked immediately to be updated and i hope that fixes your batatery problem

I think samsung rushed the phone to be released but the battery should not be that bad at all as I know.. I'm trying to get my device soon and let's see if I'll have the same issues or not
