Hi, this will probably be my first Android phone but I'm planning on using it on another carrier (not T-Mobile). I have read that you need an OTA Update to 2.2.1 for rooting. Are there any other ways to get this updates or are there gonna be other methods for rooting?
Please post questions in Q&A section. Thank you
There's threads about this already, have to wait till someone get the link or source is released

This does not belong in Development and frankly is a pointless thread.
Since the last firmware (14.3.A.0.761) was released for devices in France and China only, a new firmware is certified which seems to be for devices in Europe and US. Just hope that the bugs will be fixed.

That i hope it!
A thread already exists for this firmware here. Please keep the information to one thread instead of creating a new one. This helps keep the forums tidy and free of duplicate threads. Thanks
