[Q] I cant root my Zte Blade, please help - Blade General

Can somebody help me, its freaking hard
My phone:
Zte Blade
Android-version: 2.3.5
I`ve tried following root softwares:
Androot: I get Failed ! ~~~ Fu goo ~~~
Z4Root: I get to where it says acquiring root shell, then it closes
Unlock Root: I cant download ABD drivers
Superoneclick: Gets to stage 7 then it says superonclick (not answering)
I so want to root it looks so smooth, please help me... thx

@OP,Have you tried rooting via ADB or fastboot?
I have the same question even though its not a practical problem for me because I've seen a couple of people having problems rooting their Blades that have 2.3Gingerbread sold with them or upgraded to it.

Man i had exacly same problem today! i think the whole forums know that.
I did a tpt. I downloaded a GEN3 V.2 tpt and downloaded and puted it on Sd root and turned off my cellphone and hold volume+ + menu + power on.
Then i got CWM on. without any ROM. So i installed Cyanogenmod i had no signal. SO i installed 2.3.5.bin. and now am on the start.

You need a gen2 tpt... either gen2 v2a or gen2 stock from here... http://amphoras.co.uk/index.php/downloads/blade-tpts#g2v2a or tpt helper app. you'll need the stock version to be able to install ics roms.

After you download the TPT Helper app,you can choose your own sizes for the 3 partitions, system, data and cache and then follow the TPT procedure.. Search for TPT in the Blade forums.. You'll find a guide.. Its tough for me to link you to one,I'm not on my PC..
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium

Or when you are done installing tpt helper open it and press all in one and choose GEN 2 stock and let it download it and that **** after when says its finisched turn off ure zte blade and start it with holdinh vol + and menu button. When thats finshed it will start into clockworkmod. Tell me when u are there!!!!

Me2
Why do all phones have to be different!?
On Sony Xperia Arc S I had to do a lot of stuff before I could flash a ROM
but on ZTE Skate I only had to put the ROM I wanted on the SD card and then just download TPT Helper from Play Store and then reboot in CWM recovery!
I'm trying to help my friend root his ZTE Blade but it's so hard and there's so much to know about the phone before you begin like Baseband, what GEN it is and what build number it has!
I thought the TPT Helper was for ZTE Blade too but I can't find any good Guide here on XDA or on MoDaCo!

Don't install the latest release if you want to root your phone later and install a custom rom (is easier with 522 version).

Also remember to revert to the original partition layout, if you changed it using Geno's script. you can revert back later.
bootloader becomes inaccessible after 518 version. read the guide on getting the pink screen after you upgrade.

Yes. You need to have a PC. It is to be done in recovery mode IIRC.
Good luck with the rooting.

Sadly a PC is required with this method, but after reading all the root threads on here, I decided it was the easiest method and worked a treat for many
Just don't make the same error I did... don't connect the tablet to the dock and then USB on the dock to the PC, use the use charging cable supplied with the charger and connect the tablet to the PC via it, otherwise Windows wont see it...
Make sure you have the drivers installed too!
OK but how exactly u do this...I already downloaded the zip file on PC and pluged tablet...it installed drivers but last one ...says waiting for input and I got some options saying 1.locate and install driver
2.ask me again later 3. Don't show this message again
I click #1
Now what?

It said I had to restart computer so it could update this setting...where do I unzip/run the zip file?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Best to read the full thread I linked to, but make sure you have USB debugging enabled on the tf300 under developer options in settings...
From what I remember, I just unzipped the downloaded file to a folder, opened the folder and ran the .bat and it did the rest.
To get the correct drivers installed, I just installed Asus sync from the Asus support site, but make sure it is not running when you run the .bat.
I had the same issue, I think I installed the Android Development Kit and rebooted a couple times and it just decided to work after that. Soo, hope that helps?

Just did it, with the newest version from his skydrive account.
The only thing, I had to change USB mode from drive to camera-something in order for the ADB to detect the device..
My only reason to do it, was to get:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25286407
and I must say it's like a totally new device... Finally I can use the browser on "heavy" sites without ANR's..
Got it root..thank guys!!!

Long story short, it makes the stock browser a lot faster, by using ram as cache instead of the disk.

First root ur phone by downloading z4root file available in first page of this thread then download ROM manager and select first option..flash clock word mod. Then download ROM and gapps whichever u want to install. Then reboot into recovery by pressing vol- and power key. Then wipe data..wipe cache...wipe dalvic cache in advance. Then install ROM from SD card and then install gapps. That's it
