I have done several backups of my device via Secondary Bootloader, now it's retaining a chuck of my microsd card's memory. Where is the backup saved so I can go ahead and delete them and keep one fresh backup?

What is the best way to move from a SD based CM7 to a emmc CM7 and not loose any apps or data? I've been running off the SD card for several weeks and am ready to move to the flash based setup but don't want to loose any data or apps. I may also want to be able to dual boot into the Nook 1.2. Currently running CM7 41, OC Kernel 04/04/11, and dualboot menu all off the SD card.

titanium backup your apps/data, then install fresh copy on emmc, then restore all
I thought about doing the reverse, emmc to sd but that thought went away after a few minutes

How do you use titanium backup to do the restore since the backup is stored on the original SD card that was used to boot CM7? Do you have to copy the backup files to another card to do the restore?

yes,
-do the backup,
-copy the sdcard/TitaniumBackup folder to your computer (via adb/cifs-wifi/dropbox/ESFileExplorer/whatever)
-install your prefered ROM
-copy to sdcard/TitaniumBackup from your computer's copy
-batch restore (i'd buy titanium pro if you have many apps, if not, it will ask to confirm restoring one by one)

I have backed up via recovery and titanium and wondering how to format/partition -
Should i do it thru recovery or use windoze?
Do I need ext partition?
Do i just copy everything from old card to new, I'd rather start off nice and new?
Are there any folders that i need to create or will the phone do so itself?
What about the internal SD - can/should i delete everything in there - I've noticed that with all the roms I've flashed and playing around I've done there is stuff from previous apps that I thought I got rid of but are still in the internal.
Does a factory reset not delete anything in here and if not, is it a safe place to store a backup taking into consideration space limitations?

what is the best method for keeping all my pictures I have taken and downloads folder. (are these in extsd folder?)
I currently use Helium to backup SMS/Wifi settings/home screen/dictionary.
Also, does my google account backup what apps i have, can they be restored properly when going through the new setup wizard screens after flashing my new rom? or will i need to manually reinstall all apps?

Everything on the internal storage gets wiped with a factory reset.
The external sd card is not affected.

Direct the phones settings to store your photos on the external sd card.
Downloads should be moved with a file explorer.

As long as you ticked Google to back up your apps , they should re-install themselves.

Hi guys,
due problems with my power button I got an exchange phone from Google.
Now i want to move ALL Data from my old phone to my new phone.
System part should be no problem:
Complete Backup with TWRP on my old phone and restore it on my new phone.
But what is the best way to move the data from my internal storage?
I think, if I simple copy it maybe with windows explorer I get problems with file rights on my new phone?
I tried with "Nexus Root Toolkit", but there I've problems with backing up my Internal Storage (I've installed CM11-M9).
Is there another way to transfer the data from the interal storage to my new phone?

First, in twrp, do not backup and restore the efs partition. If you restore it to your new phone it will permanently Bork it.
I'd simply copy your data to the pc and then restore it from there. You should not have a file rights issue.

OK, in twrp I've only the options: Boot, System, Data and Cache.
So I think twrp will not do a backup of the efs-partition?

I made a full backup with philz and transferred it to my pc. Tried to delete the backup folder from my internal sd card but can't. Get this message:
Cannot delete backup: the storage is write-protected. Remove the write-protection and try again.
BTW, I'm on stock kk 4.4.2

By default, CWM and Philz protect the nandroid data from being deleted since they utilize an incremental backup scheme rather than the older image file setup. For example, let's say you have three nandroid backups: A, B, and C. If the nandroid data wasn't write protected and you delete backup A, you would screw up ALL your nandroid backups. A is the master backup. When the recovery makes backup B, it only backs up the changes made between A and B. If you then made backup C, it would back up the changes between A AND B, and C. Since the possibility of screwing up all your backups by deleting the oldest is a major problem, CWM and Philz write protect the storage.
Go into Philz, then enter the backups menu. Delete the existing backups using its delete function, then select "free unused storage data" to recover the space. After doing that, switch to TWRP 2.8.6.0, as it doesn't make incremental backups and thus doesn't write protect the storage space. Also, unlike CWM and Philz, you can place the backups on your MicroSD card..
