[Q] Skype / videochat on Vegacomb - please help! - Vega General

I got a Vega primarily for its video chat functionality but cannot get any app to work reliably. The closest I've got is when using Skype v2.5.4.162 and running Vegacomb 3.2 build 9n Update 3.
It works but...there is a delayed echo when you speak into the Vega, ie. you can hear everything you say with about a 2 second delay. It is so pronounced, intrusive and distracting that the app is pretty much unusable - extremely frustrating
I've tried altering the settings, speaker & mic volumes etc. and still can't get rid of it. I've also tried reinstalling the app but still no joy. I've also tried installing other versions of the Skype app but, as experienced by others, so far v2.5.4.162 is the one that works with the least issues.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution? Does anyone have any suggestions? If so, I'd be really really grateful for any advice or help you can offer.
I did do a search on the forums and it seems that some have got Skype and other videochat apps working ok on Vegacomb - what am I missing...?
Many thanks

Skype - help!
Hi
Can anyone help with my Skype-related problems please? Happy to consider changing ROM or whatever, but really do need Skype to work without occasional Force Close, persistent delayed voice & echo problems etc.
Any advice or suggestions gratefully received..!

Sorry can't help you with the Skype thingie, because I have the problem myself as well. But can you tell me if voice & video chat on Google Talk works for you? Because with me the app shuts down when I try to attempt it...
I have the VegaCream ROM btw..

Has anyone been able to get a fonctionning video chat option going? I've tried fring and tango and they both don't seem to work, I either get a lost connection or a FC...
My girlfriend is in Japan and I'd love to be able to videochat with her using this device (it was one of the reasons I got it in the first place)
Thanks!

[Q] GTalk on HyperDroid rom?

Just installed the hyperdroid-GBX12...everything works great and no issues for the most part, but gtalk is missing and probably wasn't included. It's not in the market either except for 3rd party apps. Anyone know where or how I can get the original gtalk? I'm a newbie and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Edit--- Just realized it's on there! Sorry I was coming from nexus 1 and my icon was different on there. Please ignore this question!

Gtalk with video

Morning all....
Im having issues performing gtalk video calls with desktops, ive read somewhere that this is due to the 3.2 update? Is this right, if so is there any way to get it to work?
Thanks in advance,
Dan
im pretty sure it works in prime 1.9, wich is 3.2
Strange. I use quite frequently GTalk (video conf) and have no issues. The other party uses a PC so desktop. Apart from quite low audio quality originating from my side I can say all else works good.
edit: forgot to add that yes I'm on stock 3.2
Hmm how strange... i just installed Pauls HR9 rom so will see if its possible with that.
so where do you download this Gtalk?

It comes preinstalled with the transformer (called TALK). If not, then Google it
Don't think it's 3.2. Gtalk video chat works fine for me.
Make sure the PC has the video chat plug-in installed.
Hope that helps...
I use Gtalk on my Transformer and my LG G2x all the time with my GF back home (when I travel for work). We've used Tango in the past but it sucks compared to GTalk.
Her phone doesn't have a FFC so it was hard for her to video chat but she has a Netbook with a FFC so I set GTalk on there. I downloaded the Video Chat plugin but was still fishy.
The only way I could get it to work on her netbook was just simply have her sign in to Gmail, then it uses the Web GUI to initiate a video chat. Weird thing is that none of my devices show her as being Video Capable, so she's required to initiate the start of it (which is no big deal).
For what its worth, I use Revolver version 3.2 and whatever Custom Kernel is available in Revolver Parts.

What's the exact issue? Make sure you tap your name in top and mark yourself AVAILABLE FOR VIDEO AND VOICE CHAT. Otherwise you wont be able to voice/video chat.
install gtalk from the market. was having problems before with "Talk"

[Q] Viber and U8800

Why viber's new ver's does not work on doz ICS v5 20 or 21??
It's working for me. I don't know why it doesn't work for you. Did you try uninstalling Viber, and the installing it again?
Hi!
It happens to me too. In the last versions of Viber, I can hear the people on the other side, but people only hear weird noises.
Until v2.3.2 it works for me, which is the version I have installed. I cannot upgrade.

Hello!
Viber has updated a lot of things, but has broken a lot of things as well.
This is problem with the application, not the rom. You must report it to the application developers.
By the way, you can use Tango. It is better than Viber!
Also the apps "LINE" encounter this problem.
I have the same problem with CSIPSimple, Viber, etc... (Aurora 5u20 and AuroraSP 3CE). Do you have any ideas?
I got viber working on my u8800, jelly bean by cold_blue
Hi everyone,
I'm an official rep from Viber Media.
In order for us to determine whether or not this is a general problem, or a problem with the specific ROM, etc. - we would need to get more info about this issue.
We would appreciate if you could take a minute and report the details to our support team using this direct link: http://bit.ly/ukGVJ0 (when you submit the ticket, please make sure to specify the link to this page in the appropriate place in the form, for monitoring purposes). With this information, our development team will hopefully be able to find the source of the problem, and ultimately resolve it.
If anyone has any more questions/problems, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Thanks in advance

Weak microphone and low voice in CM 13

Hello everybody, i have a question for this problem: anyone knows how to solve the low voice on the CM 13? This happens in apps like WhatsApp, voice recorder, some calls, etc. I watched this in all roms based in Cyanogen... However, in the other roms, microphone and voice are normal... I followed some tutorials, but none fixed the problem...
Anyone can help me, please?
Thanks.
