Dear Prophet users,
Is there a way to use my nokia 6230 as a bluetooth keypad for my QTEK S200?
On screen keyboard is not useful most of the time.
I'm an expert on my nokia 6230's keyboard.
If it were possible to use it as a bluetooth keyboard for QTEK S200 it would be perfect for me.
And If it is not possible is there a blutooth keypad with 9 key phone key layout which can be used as "phone pad" text entry tool in WM5.0
!! NO BODY?? !!
No body have an idea ??

Can't you use the built in phone pad with your fingers?
Personally, I use Spb Full Screen Keyboard
I've been googling for a bluetooth keypad for a long time. Touch screen keypad is definitely not a good idea, at least for me. I'm on the road most of the time. Used to be able to sms without looking at the screen while driving. Can't do it now. I know I'm not suppose to do that but.... excuse... excuse... excuses....
The closest (but not close enough) is a device called "Frog" something. Can't remember the name. Emailed the distributor in Singapore. They didn't follow thru with my query. Sad....
I have a omz bluetooth keyboard,no wording in dopod 830 too...
No one ??
Actually I have an idea but I'm not a programmer so it is just an idea for me.
There are some software those enable users to connect their PC(server) via Bluetooth (and/or GPRS) enabled mobile phones (client).
There are two parts of the sotfware
1st to be installed on PC and works as server
2nd is a java program to be run on Mobile Phone.
This enables the mobile user to control the PC via mobile phone.
User can use navigation key as mouse and keypad of mobile phone as keyboard of the PC.
If there were a server part for WM 5.0, it would also work for PPC to mobile phone management.
Can anybody have a proramming background to perform this kind of software.
I'm sure it would have so much buyers.
no one ??
isn't there a good programmer to do this application
I think what you're describing there is remote desktop. This is already built into Windows Mobile (5 & 6), and can connect to any PC running XP Pro/Server/Vista. Alternatively you could use a VNC client opn your WM Device (there are a few around) and a VNC server on your PC (again, there are a few variants). Although this sounds like a good idea its pretty fiddly trying to control a whole PC using a touchscreen and an onscreen keyboard, and if you're anyhting like me you'll get sick of it pretty fast and just use a laptop.
As for the PC connecting to the WM device, this can be done using the Remote Display Control Powertoy released by Microsoft a couple of years back. You'll have to google for that one though. If you cant find it give me a buzz and ill post it somewhere.
Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows a bluetooth program that can make my HTC Herald keyboard act as a bluetooth keyboard for my laptop. I hooked my laptop to my plasma tv so I can use it as a Media Center. But I want to use my phone keyboard to type wirelessly through bluetooth. Say if I was using MS Word on the laptop, I want to type from my HTC herald through bluetooth instead of actually typing on the laptop. Hope you get what I mean. If anyone knows a program like that please reply. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Maybe you can use a VNC viewer for that. Not perfect, but will work.

I need help in finding an application I use to have.
I have an HTC Wizard w/wm5.
The app lets you use the keyboard on the computer to type messages on your wizard.
Any help?
Thanks in advance....
randy-
You mean 'using a PC keyboard directly on the Wizard' or 'sending messages using the Wizard through the PC' ?
For the first, you should look for Bluetooth keyboards.
For the second, check this. It enables you to type in PC directly on Wizard's screen, like a SIP.
Cheers
the best app i found is my mobiler from mymobiler.com its free and puts your phone screen on your desktop so you can use your mouse and keyboard to control it
Hello to everybody,
today I was looking on internet for a small keyboard for my HTCP, that I can use to manage my notebook when it's connected to my plasma 50" without have to use the windows software keyboard.
But just before to buy it, I have thinked that would be great if I could use the keyboard of my rhodium for digit on my notebook, so I started a research asking to my old friend Google and opening this thread here.
Does somebody know if a similar app exists or not? I think it would be cool and very useful...
thank you
ok, after some study seems that do this task could be easier than I was thinking.
We can control our keyboard pc in 2 different ways:
using a specific software, like this http://www.mobilesrc.com/mobileremote.aspx
using a vnc connection
the first one would be the best solution imho, but I don't have a bluetooth module on my notebook so I would be glad if I could find a similar app that works over wifi.
The second solution could acceptable too, but using ultravnc and .net vnc is too slow to be useful, I need something lighter...
ok, I found my app.
With this you can use the phone as touchpad, to move the mouse, and input the text using the rhodium keyboard exactly as the notebook keyboard.
All over a tcp connection, without need of a bluetooth module (but you can use it if you want).
It's great, the app is called GRemote, you can find it here.
I also found a freeware app on sourceforge (here), but it needs a bluetooth module so I can't try it.
Goodnight
Hey, does anyone know of a USB solution?, 'cause nueUSBKeyboard v1.1 doesn't work for me at all. I'm using a CDMA Rhodium with stock WM6.5.
Gremote works without problem also on a USB connection, because when you connect your phone to your computer using Activesync (or wmdc) they speak over a TCP connection using IP addresses over a virtual network adapter.
So you can view your computer IP used to communicate with your device, executing this command from a cmd: ipconfig /all
and reading the IP address assigned to your Windows Mobile Remote Adapter
then you can add this IP as a "new computer" into your gremote client settings and that's it!
Hi guys,
I would like to know if it's possible to use the Vision keyboard and trackpad to control a PC with bluetooth or tcp/ip.
This is for a car PC project
Thanks

Try BlueputDroid. It's in beta and it's buggy but it has potential if the dev keeps up with it. It uses bluetooth to connect without a seperate server program like the other apps on the Market. It was originally written for PS3 but it works on pc. You need to be rooted as well.
What specifically is this car project?

Thanks for your suggestion! I will look into that!
Aahh! Can't post images or links but here is the main idea of my build.
My car is a Chevrelet Cobalt 2010 and I plan to remove the Head Unit (Stereo) and put a 7inch touchscreen at its place. I'll have a computer in trunk along with my new amp.
It's why I'll need a way to control the computer. I doesn't want to buy a 100$ bluetooth keyboard/trackpad kit.
Feel free to ask any question!
Ever tried 'team viewer'?
I know its a remote assistance software but it works flawlessly. Not sure if it will work over Bluetooth, but it definitely does over IP. So perhaps you could create an ad-hoc WiFi connection in your car....
I couldn't find it in the market, had to download of developers site, just Google 'teamviewer'
Hope this helps....

What kind of PC and OS are you planning on running? This sounds like a very interesting project.
Open terminal and SSH to your desktop computer. There, in control of desktop with phone.
Gmote is my app of choice and it works amazingly well.

He wants to connect directly to the pc. Afaik Gmote uses your network to connect. This is how most remote apps work.
Thanks for all the indications guys I will look in everything you proposed and see if it's what I need.
I still can't post link but here is my project :
