Xperia rom

Hi everyone,
Now Sony ericsson release new phones, with open bootloaders.
My question is: can it be possible to see a port on our hd2 ? Like Xperia ARC or PLAY.
Not just the launcher, but the entire system.
I was asking myself because it's possible with MIUI, so why not with Xperia ?

GALAXy S PLUS Upgrading from Gingerbread 2.33 to ICS 4.0

Hi i'm a newbie on this forum.. im making thi thread because i want to have some help with my case... i bought samsung galaxy s plus with android 2.33 gingerbread on in. i'd want to update it to ICS 4.0 (or other ICS versions)
but i don't know how... i've been searching for that on the net.. and the only thing i found is installing ISC 4.0 on samsung galaxy s I9000.. i think it installling ISC 4.0 on i9001 can be different and i dont wanna damage my phone .

so i guess i've got the phone rooted and thats the first step of all the rom modifications..
what do i have to do next? do i have to update my Kernel or android to 2.35 .. my current configuration is: Firmware version: 2.33

There is no ICS for 9001 unfortunately. And it's not in sight.
As the phones have a completely different hardware board (the i9001 has more in common with HTC Desire HD e.g. than with i9000) porting 9000 > 9001 is almost impossible.
Also some very good Devs already hard bricked their phones while trying to complete a cyanogenmod port. Makes it not very easy.

awww it's so good that i didn't upgraded it....
i don't want my phone to get bricked... by the way can i upgrade it to some kind of newer version?? maybe 2.36?? or 2.35 can i do that?? can anyone tell me how?

There are some threads pinned in this section which will teach you how to flash a new rom and which will help you to select the right one. Just have a look.

before u start flashing anything, make sure u read the rules first, and what stuff to post where

And also have a WORKING backup ready... just in case

even though this is in the wrong section, just for info, i was talking to one of the devs from DHD today about porting ICS from his build, we came to a conclusion that replacing gpu libs and boot.img , plus some build.prop modifications and we might get a booting version, the only problem i'm afraid of is the board.platform , both arc (or arc s) and DHD have msm7x30 while we have msm7k (like SGS). ofcourse, we'd also need some1 for kernel development. as i'm not dying to get ICS the project is on hold for now, but if anyone decided to give it a try i'd be glad to help
p.s. he said one interesting thing that i didn't know before, since our device is relatively new , our drivers and libs are made to work on ICS (if i understood it right).

help!newbie in arc dev & hacks

hello can someone help me in SE arc hacking..i want a kernel that boost the performance of m xperia arc but how to install it without unlocking the bootloader??
can anyone help me please....This is m first time in sony i recently had an htc desire s which is far way easy to hack and stuffs..and oh my firmware is .42 the latest one..

Hello to all xperia arc and arc s owners.i v just purchased xperia arc s in mystic silver colour.i gathered here and there in arc forums.i m confused in some things.i want to know that arc and arc s has diffrent sort of .tft files or they can b flashed for each other.i was unable to search exactly from where i can get the .tft files for LT18i.they are all mixed here and there in this fkrum.kindly guide me how to root my LT18i..get CMW..download all the firmware .tft files and custom roms.and suggest me which is supposed to b fast stable and user frendly rom for this masterpiece.thanx in advance.i m on 4.0.2.A.0.62 stock firmware(no root,no cmw).

If you really want something then go and unlock your bootloader from here unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
Then decide what you really want ICS or GB. I would suggest ICS but some features like camcorder and some others dont work properly.
You can find some ROMs in the android development section. Read the posts and decide what you actually want.

First Ever ICS ROM (4.0.4) for X10i with Working Camera Released

This is a good news that our community developer "Vasishta Reddy" has released the ICS rom fully themed with Galasy S3 with working camera.
I'm using this rom with FXP127 kernel now. The Rom is fast smooth and perfect for daily use.

Hi,
I am new member but there are same years that I flash phones and install roms.
I want to know the resolution of the camera in this ics rom because I read that at 8 megapixel the photo is in a part grey.
What is the max resolution? Thanks

Hi,
Our community developers are working on the camera app currently only 8MP, VGA and WVGA. Keep on a check at OP for updates on development side.

ALL ICS ROMS have now camera working thanks to Zdzihu's fix, SO with all due respect why giving "Vasishta Reddy" credit for something he just applied in his latest release ?! this is totally unfair!

Yes,i have done nothing just applied the patch .lol i am not a dev ,maybe some moderator should close this thread
