Hello everybody,
I'm new to this forum so sorry if this question was asked before. I couldn't find an answer.
So I have Samsung Focus and my problem is that there's always "Meet Windows Phone" image in the background. It's always there but I can see it especially when there's a bright picture or something. I attached a photo to show you what I mean.
Does anybody know how I can get rid of it?
Thanks.
Amoled burn in, most likely.

Yep. I see it on a couple demo units at my local best buy.
so the only way to get rid of it is to replace the screen?

Precisely its the only way to solve burn in issues
No it could be a Demo rom issue.
Go to the Development section of the Focus forum here and install a fresh rom.
This should solve any issues known or unknown unless it's a HW problem (Screen burn or so ..)

I also think it's a screen burn in problem, what you wrote is very far fetched...

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Y. It's been behaving a little weird. The camera take photos upside down i.e. I have to hold the phone upside down for the photo to be upright. Why is this? and how can I solve it?
Note: I have tried resetting to factory settings but it of no use. The problem remains.
Thank you.

caused by either a hardware or just a faulty camera app,
try doing what he said,
if that does not work,
try re-flashing to stock,
if still does not work,
it is a hardware issue and needs to be repaired by a licensed technician

Ah I see. There was no physical damage to the device so it has to be an app related issue or the HW has gone bonkers.
1) Also, could this be related to the fact that even in games, I have to tilt the phone a little to the other side to go straight.
2) Thank you to shivamsejal for the app but is there any risk in replacing a system app by an app provided by a new member? If yes, what kind of risks? Also, do I install it using astro?
Thank you
i dont know how many of you have tried this and ended up in the same spot as me, but here is my issue.
i recently installed blacklight retribution from steam on my toshiba with windows 8 pro, and all went well in that aspect.
i launched the game and it brought up the normal window where it does all of its updating and everything.
i sign in and hit continue and this is where i hit my issue.
the game loads in full screen, like it should, but i only see a black screen.
after about 5 seconds, windows says it has stopped working and has to close.
this happens everytime that i try to open it,
anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to get the game running?
thanks
Have you done some searches or checked the Steam forums? The only thing I can think to recommend is to try setting Compatibility Mode (you may have to go into the SteamApps folder and set it on the EXE directly). This isn't really a tech support forum...

I have looked already but all look again. I may have tried your second option but I can't remember.
I thought I would post it here cause I wanted to know if anyone else had the same problem.

Hello
I dont remember exactly when, but the scrolling in all browsers (chrome, firefox, opera, dolphin) is very choopy now... It was smoth before...
Maybe recent KitKat ? Anyone have any idea what is that? Hardware problem?
Navigating in forums is a pain, always getting undesirable click/select with choppy scrolling...
Thanks

You wouldn't happen to have a cracked screen would you? There's a chance that there is a problem with your digitizer. The digitizer is what is responsible for registering touch events/input on the screen. One way to check if its the digitizer is to download an app that's similar to Paint on windows. For an old phone of mine I used an App called Sketch Artist..or something of the sort.
While making the drawing drag your finger along the screen in every direction, try to color in the whole screen. If there is anywhere on the screen that isn't responding to touch input then that is the part of the screen that may be perpetually derped.
It should be noted that you don't necessarily have to drop your device in order to have a derped digitizer, sometimes its just something that develops over time.
Hello guys,
im quiet new to xda and to rooting as well.
i read, tried to inform myself and then tried rooting and flashing a custom rom becaused i really liked the idea to discover new features, looks and to empower my device.
anywayi rooted my device, backed it up properly and searched for a custom rom where i found xnote Rom and really liked it.
i flashed it with twrp and it works fine i just wonder about a little issue i have now but cant remember if its there from the start (since i flashed it this morning) but i guess it occured after a few and not immediately.
getting finally to the point, on the top left corner of the screen there is a white line just when the display is about to end, i dont know how to explain it better (the old iphone jailbreak (3gs,4) had a similar line in the middle of the screen when booting while the apple logo appeared, if this might help someone to figure out what i actually mean).
i made a screenshot from my homescreen but i doubt its visible from there because of its thinness, i tried to give you and idea of its location with the red arrow though.
i wonder how to fix it ? should i flash again or is it even a well known issue?
help appreciated
thanks for reading

It's a battery bar, some user doesn't like the usual "Battery" icon on the notification and want minimalism instead. So they remove the those icon but need at least an indication to know the battery levels.
Imagine the whole top line that showing up is your battery life.

Hi, after using the messenger app for a while, if the screen go through any dark or gray-ish background than I see the upper messenger voice call/video call icons in the background clearly. Is there any fix for this issue?
Faced the same issue. It's HW related.
Is this related to software or anything? Please, I'm having this issue atm. Though it appears and disappears, I'm afraid it's still not normal. It's been only 4 months since I got this phone.

I can't say if is it hardware or software related issue. But I searched in the internet for a while and found this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blueburn.StuckPixelTool ) and after giving it a bit of try the problem is kind of fixed for a while I must say. But I can't guarantee that it will be fixed forever. But at least I'm happy that it kind of works.

Sorry for that, I've edited that and now it's fine.
Thanks for editing the link. So how to use it? After the screen burning happens or do we have to run it all the time?

Just press fix option in the app and the app will display some random pixelized image and statical R G B image for kinda unlimited time (meaning till you close that app) and thus the stuck pixel / burned screen will get disappeared for "a while". I don't think there's a permanent fix for this issue.
