There was a guide on debranding Orange Flipout. According to that post, we need to use "BL_9110_umts_ruth_HS_Consumer_replacer.sbf" to unlock the locked CG, therefore, we can flash a custom ROM to Orange Flipout.
But some people have the AT&T version (including me). I think there's a difference about the locked CG between Orange and AT&T version. One of my friends says the locked one is CG31. I'll post the link of CG31.smg and also the AT&T ROM here. Anyone knows how to unlock AT&T bootloader, please help (make a new unlocked smg or give instruction). My bootloader is also 9110. I appriciate!

Hi. I'm new here and I would like to ask few questions:
I bought my phone from Rogers and it came LT15a_2.3.2, 3.0.A.2.181_Rogers firmware. When I checked if the bootloader can be unlocked, I couldn't see anything because there wasn't this menu. I flashed LT15a arc_v2.3.4, 4.0.2.A.0.42_Generic America and now it says Bootloader unlock not allow.
I have rooted my phone.
My questions:
1) What do you suggest me to do? to try to unlock the bootloader? What are the risks?
2) To reflash old rom and unlock bootloader and after that to flash a custom Rom?
Thank you.
if your carrier wont allow bootloader to be unlocked i think only option is to use test point to unlock the bootloader.
it is a paid for service search forum as there are,2 members here who will offer this service
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
1) find someone with setoolbox and pay for unlocking (no free way), you can also do it over the web. check this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1304634
there are ways with wotan server or omnius, but not sure about them, what they actually do. i think they only remove SIM lock and then you still need to unlock bootloader with ether official or s1tool method.
2) flashing back old fw won't help you

Just give it a try and attempt to unlock your bootloader.Nothing must go wrong if you follow the official way of unlocking the bootloader. If your is unlocked then its very good and if doesnt then try the other way out i.e., find someone who can unlock the phone using se-tool
guys it's my first post here..
i installed a custom rom on my motorola defy without taking a backup of stock rom. now, after installing a jellybean custom rom my defy is asking for a SIM unlock network PIN.
I searched over internet that flashing a stock rom again may unlock my phone. but i have no idea which stock rom to flash?
so, if i come to know about t-mobile uk or usa version than i can download the respective stock rom for motorola defy.
i am providing the following information that might be helpful and identifying whether it's usa or uk.
MB525
IMEI 3515 7304 0228 877
MSN LO26QG7SMR
MKQ7 334411B11
FCC ID IHDP56LC3
Don't post imei/etc online. The only way that your defy is asking for SIM unlock code is that if it wasn't ever fully unlocked(only soft unlocked).
It will NOT get magically unlocked by a stock rom.
You can search for soft SIM unlock for defy which will need to be done after every rom installation, or obtain the unlock code online(paid).

Hi all,
I just recently unlocked my phone and was having a hard time to find related information for my specific model when I was doing research. I believed the blame goes to different S4 model; huge variety of stock&custom firmware; carrier/ location differences; unlock method and various success rate. Therefore, I would like to create a thread and let all user who has unlocked their GS4 to share their experience (in a very brief form) by filling up the following survey. Your accurate information will definitely help future GS4 user who needs their phone unlock.
*** Please copy and paste the following and fill in your information ***
My Info:
GS4 Model: e.g. i9505
Phone Carrier: e.g. Voda
"Original" Baseband: Type *#1234# to find, put the last 3 letters/#s here. Example: I337MVLUFNC1, only NC1 here. (Rooted?)
"Current" Firmware: Are you on custom firmware? If so which one? Also put which firmware it based on like above.
Unlock Method:
Successfully unlock with Free Method: Yes/ No. (Unlock your phone without paying is consider free; so anything from secret code UTMS way to Chainfire Regionlock Away is consider free). Put down what you use/ try and if that method is successful.
Successfully unlock with Paid Method: Yes/ No. (Unlock your phone by paying; feel free to put down which website you use and how much you paid)
Do you need to "ROLL-BACK" from custom rom to stock rom: Yes/ No.
Did you test your "unlocked" phone after: Yes/No. How?
:good::good::good: Hit "Thanks" if this mini survey helps you :good::good::good:
My Info:
GS4 Model:i337m
Phone Carrier:Rogers Wireless (Canada)
"Original" Baseband:NC1 (Rooted with CF-Auto)
"Current" Firmware:Maple Leaf (Based on NC1)
Unlock Method:
Successfully unlock with Free Method: No. Tried the secret menu code method (UTMS) and also Chainfire RegionLock Away. Both doesn't work.
Successfully unlock with Paid Method: Yes. Pick cellunlocker.net because the price is reasonable ($15USD), and also the only website that did not request you to roll back to stock rom/ unrooted.
Do you need to "ROLL-BACK" from custom rom to stock rom: No. Even though I see many users has failed to unlock until they roll-back to stock; I was able to unlock my phone on custom rom.
Did you test your "unlocked" phone after: Yes. I put in a HK sim card before unlock, and my phone asked for "Network Unlock Code". After unlock I put in the same HK sim, and my phone did not ask for the NUC, and has a Roaming signal icon on status bar, and display the correct carrier name in setting.
I just bought Xperia X Compact in Japan, phone's carrier is NTT Docomo. (model SO-02J)
I tried *#*#7378423 , but it shows "bootloader unlock allow : NO"
then I tried ADB , but I cannot use commands like "su" , "root" . It shows : /system/bin/sh: su: not found :crying:
What can I do now to root this phone?
Or maybe I should buy a new phone that is global-version,simfree ?
I need help !
I think you cannot root without unlocking bootloader...
Maybe Kingroot...but I'm not sure...

You can not do anything if the bootloader is not allowed to unlock.
No bootloader unlock, no root, custom recovery (twrp), roms, etc.
What does the OEM Unlock switch in developer options say? if there is one? greyd out maybe with some explanation below?
A possible solution is to look for the F5321 model of this phone (sim free international) as I can see in xperifirm that only 1 provider (NTT DoCoMo) is tied to the SO-02J and they are also well behind with updates.
Theoretically you can use exploits in the system to gain root, but for this you need a vulnerable stock firmware. You can flash an older firmware even with locked bootloader, as long as it is stock. But I would strongly advise against permanently downgrading to a vulnerable firmware, you might not be the only one to exploit it . On that firmware, you could install root software that does not touch the kernel, but the use is limited for customizations and also realize that the whole community here revolves around unlocked phones, so all guides etc. expect that.
Hope you still enjoy your phone or find somebody else who does Not everybody cares about root and custom ROMs, I suggest you resell. If you get another model, as suggested, buy a F5321. Even branded ones, bootloader is unlockable and you remove the branding with flashing another (stock or custom) ROM.

did you succeed?
Got an AT&T phone on ebay, LMV350AWM, want to flash brazilian LMV350EAW ROM on it.
So guys, the V35 was my dream for months, and finally got an Ebay unit that fit can ship here. It's already coming.
I read that LG imported to Brazil the AT&T version, not the korean, with jut a Br ROM on it.
Will this flash work? need the unlocked bootloader for this ? or just LG software ?
You will save yourself some serious inconvenience by making sure it really is sim unlocked before flashing away from the AT&T rom. You can read about someone else's experience on that here:

Tnx for the link. I've received info that the phone is fully unlocked, and already tested in Brazilian carriers. The previous owner already lived here and used the phone here with no issues. Will keep reading about it nonetheless
Hi mate, I also got an AT&T from USA, (I live in Spain) and I flashed V350AWMH10a_05_TCL_MX_OP_0124.kdz ROM from mexican carrier Telcel.
I use patched LGUP, and it works fine. No unlock bootloader needed.
Also is an Oreo ROM, not Pie, but I prefer, because Pie Roms had problems with call recorders app.
