My SIM Card not working after installation of AOKP M5 ROM

Hi, can you explain step by step your installation?. And which modem you using?

He told me it is solved.
I guess just apn setting, not really no sim.

CM 6.1.3 Update V06 Help please

Hello.
I installed this rom on my Rogers(Canada) X10. Everything went fine. But I have no wireless at all now and it says baseband unknown. I tried looking for APN settings but there's nothing there under mobile networks. This is my first time installing custom firmware and I'm rather lost. Can anybody help me please?
Hi
Did you make sure your on the correct baseband?
Did you flash a custom kernel?
Hi, I had same issue. What worked for me was using the Dev tools app and selecting bad behaviour then crash the system server. Phone rebooted and has been working fine since. Might be worth a try?

I read the Q&A but it seems that in order to select a baseband, I need to know what is is? But I can't because the system doesn't tell me. As for kernels and such, I'm at a complete loss lol. I just followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945264 for installing the firmware.

Check if your PC reads the card by using card reader or something. iF it reads then the build has problem. if not then card has problem. Re-partition with recovery if card has problem

Actually you don't need to dig that deep. Just find out and add the required APNs for your cellular carrier, and your MMS will start working.

All of the information you need is in his post. Google the APN settings for your carrier and manually add them. Look under mobile networks in settings.
another easy way is that you can get the apns-conf.xml file from a mms worked rom and put it into the rom you are using now then reset your apn setting. mms will work. apns-conf.xml in system/etc

You really think the OP will understand that? They don't even understand how to edit an APN.
well i tried all of the above and it still wont work for me. it does work when using synthetic aospx so could it be a rom issue?

Not unless you had a bad download. There is nothing wrong with synthetic's ROM.

sorry i think i worded that wrong, i meant that synthetic's rom is the only one that works. im thinking its a rom issue with cnote's cm9, thats what im using now.

My apologies. I probably read incorrectly. Was it mentioned in the release thread?
Edit: MMS is reported as working. I would do a full wipe, redownload, flash, and check again. Don't forget to wipe system.

No Sim card found?

Was using my s4 last night and ask of a sudden I got a message saying no sum card found. Also there are no APNs in the menu. I wiped multiple times flushed different Roms to no avail. Should I flash to sick via Odin? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you check to make sure a SIM card is in it? (inevitably someone would ask...)
What was the exact error?
Yes its in. And I swapped in a new one, still nothing. It says no Sim card found

Did you upgrade? In previous upgrades AT&T has killed my SIM erroneously (not the old one, the new one sent with the new device) but it should give a "SIM not provisioned" error or something like that.

Can you perform a backup and then go back to stock and see if it still happens?

Try booting with no SIM installed, do a full wipe, then put the SIM in and boot up

No LTE on a GE rom

Maybe you guys can help... I downloaded this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341026 and rolled the dice and installed it on my SPH-L720. After battling com.android.phone FCs I was able to get 3G working by changing settings in #4636# but, I was not able to get LTE. I posted the question in the ROM's thread but, no one has answered yet. Does anyone have any advice on how to get it working? It would be nice to get it to work on our phone as everything worked perfect except LTE.
Have you searched for the correct APN's and checked to see if they're correct?
