Yet again a goodbye and thankyou

Well my touchscreen died so I bought an epic on ebay and I want to say goodbye an I will miss this phone it tought me a whole lot and thanks to the devs for all there work and people who guided me through things I missunderstood so I bid you ado I will most likely pop in and out to see what you guys are coming up with next cause you guys are crazy sometimes and lastly thankyou again

Damn. You're leaving too? Mine also died. Been rocking out a TP2 off craigslist. Loving this thing and the OS is smooth so far. Of course, it was modded next day...

Yeah same as soon as I got it out of the box I rooted it and my step brother has one and I installed android on it for him and he said that I said his life

I'm gonna be jumping ship too. I talked with Sprite and I recently got my upgrade back. So now I just wait for the Evo 3D. I'm definitely gonna keep my Hero though because Iwill be experimenting in it.

Goodbye X10 family

Hi,
Some of you may have seen me around, sadly the time has come to move on. I have a Galaxy S for a while and wont be around these parts as much, i will still pop by and say high now and then though.
I just wanted to say good bye to you all and thanks to all the dev's and user's who have helped me.
To many of you to single out so I made this post,

The only way to really brick a phone is during a bad radio flash..
Just check your md5 sums and make sure to not flash either new boot file or radio if you have less than 30% battery or with the back cover off (so the battery doesn't fall out)

I have owned many phones and read one quick tutorial and you're set.
Plus the fact you can do much more makes it all worth it.

I know I said my good bye to you through pm already but I thought I'd say it again. I'm sure you'll get much more satisfaction from galaxy being the techy guy that you are and I'm sure in less than a week you'll be on the cyanogenmod nightlies lol
Also I don't know if I ever did thank you proper for the various bits of advice over time you have given me, and also when I put together that tutorial for how to flash 2.2 beta 4 with your help all that time ago.
I wish you the very best for the future and don't be a stranger and your always very welcome to my Facebook group and continue being a mod there

I love my Vibrant

Switched to Mytouch 4G for a month... and now I'm back.
Flashing the latest MIUI.
I love it.

Of course I do, but its getting old. The forums are dieing everyone's leaving. We hardly have new development lately. The only thing keeping us alive are Cyanogenmod, MIUI, Explodingboy, JCC, and some others I forgot to mention. Everyones gone.
Why did you leave the Mytouch 4g?

Really every fourm is dieing g2x fourm is dieing an that fourm is new we don't need 1 mil devs there are phones without devs or forum we are very lucky an as long as there Is the I9000 we are alive an yea its getting old but I can do everything all these new phones can my only trouble is ram but now I have super charger so I'm good

I have to agree with you. My phone does everything i need it to. I just got my 1800mah battery a few days ago, so battery life is better. Also just installed v6 supercharger script and the phone is even more buttery smooth. Been checking out the sgs II forums and honestly nothing so far has made me want to change.

I do love my Vibrant.
I was bartending last night and a guy at the bar had a (stock) Sprint SGS2. I played with it for a while, and damn, it was smooth. It did make me feel slightly jealous.

I love mine but I want to change to a newer one.
But alas, I'm stuck here until I get money for a new one.
Im my country, the newest one we have is the SGSII and not only that thing is older than I'm comfortable with (the international version), but also costs 500+ ON CONTRACT.

I am happy with my vibrant also but I am itching to get that samsung galaxy s2 when I have enough money and when I see it hover around $350 or less on craigslist. Probably have to wait for few more months though.

Its fairly simple. He gives links to all the files and tools you need. The script pretty much tells you what to do.

Unless we have a custom ICS I don't think I'll be leaving my current rom. I'm done with flashing with this phone.

I love my vibrant as well. My only real problem with it is the GPS never worked for crap. Mind you, its a first gen vibrant (i bought it the day it came out). If i could solve the GPS, ill be happy as a pig in... noodles?

try miui 2.3.7 nb version 1.11.4. This version frees up alot of ram.

If i remember correctly you can use this script with any android OS. It automatically recommends the settings based on your phone. Just read thru the OP to be sure.

Maybe you can switch it?
I bought it when it first came out. GPS didn't work. A few months later I bricked it lol and T-Mobile gave me a new one. GPS works perfectly.

my vibrant has been great, but the writing is on the wall. Gonna wait till the first of next year and see exactly what T-Mobile is pushing. No hurry, MIUI NB, Im good for now.Knowing all the B.S., still take the Vibrant in a do over!!

can't say that i love it, but i think it'll last me another year. i dont see any reason to upgrade yet.

I know I haven't been around for very long but this might already be my last day on this forum. I am about to switch to the iNQ Cloud Touch. I just wanted to say to the developers that their work has helped me see the full potential of this phone. And, all the users of this phone seem to be very nice.

Goodbye wildfire's mates!

So, it's time for an upgrade also for me. I just ordered an xperia U for 29€ (really! a dual core for 29€! with "Vodafone you" points).
These days are going to be the last days for my wildfire (probably I will give it to my brother, I can't sell this phone after all the time I spent on it ).
I still remeber the day I flashed my first custom rom (and went into bootloop, forgot to wipe data, lol :laugh: ) and the time I spent to try different things on it, just for the pleasure of giving something new to willy.
Thanks to everyone who helped me in this adventure, I hope you liked the work I shared here on xda.
A special thanks goes also to lo2ay, who continued my lewaos port, and to KoolSavas, that helped me with the JoyOS port. :good:
I will miss you all. :crying:
