hi there , i use SwitchPro Widget on my atrix4g and i heard i can put it on my notification bar any idea how to do that ? thanks
Hello,
I'm not sure you can put switchpro on notification bar. Me I'm using Notification toggle, and works pretty well. It is free.
I use Quick Settings. It's not buttons in the notification area of the dropdown menu like switchpro, but it still is very handy.

hello
is there any way to hide the notifications bar on galaxy S i9000?
thanks
there are several apps in the market that can do that
but you will be in trouble without it
a lot of apps depends on the notification bar
if you don't have the bar, you will have no quick way to access those alerts
thanks
can you name me one app that do that?
i want to remove this while im driving with GPS to avoid the notofication bar will be stock like i had on my nexus one. this is really troble with amoled screens.
I use GDE as my Home replacement, It has an option for Fullscreen, which removes the notification bar

I do not know why you wanna hide it, but if you have launcher pro, there is an option to hide the notification bar.

Hi there...
This black notification bar somehow is ugly for this homescreen and this phone...isn't there any simple way to make it transparent or hide it without using third party application like launcher pro???
I don't think so.
Unfortunately you have to use a third party app to do this. That said, I'd love to see a mod to hide the clock, it bugs me to have one up there AND a clock widget.....
Back to topic: ADW has a hide option aswell....
I use ADWLaucher, I can hide/show the bar swiping the screen.
I use launcher pro to hide it with a swipe gesture on a dock icon to make it apear

Hello
I have just installed a really clean, neat and simple app called: Wi-fi Status Bar Switch
This is a really simple toggle switch that lives in the status bar.
I am looking for two other simple toggles that can be put in the status bar in a similar way
1. toggle silent mode on/off
2. toggle mobile networks on/off
I know that there are widgets already build in that can do this, but are there any that can work from the status bar in the same way as the wi-fi switch mentioned above. - or is there a way of adding widgets to the status bar?
I have tried the app called Quick Settings - but this opens another window where you then have a series of switches - unfortunately as I have gingerbread the mobile switch does not work so I am looking for other options.
Many thanks. eon
Notification Toggle 1.3
I use that works fine.

I flashed the "Quick Settings" mod to get the same notification bar as Sense 2.1...
Look around the development forum...
I'm also looking for something like this. Thanks, will check out the quick settings mod.

I have made this thread for this purpose. You can try the statusbarmod_quicksettings only mod in this thread

Thanks for the replies.
I have looked at Notification Toggle - unfortunately that does not have the mobile switch to turn off the networks - or not that I could get it to work.
looked at the Quicksettings Mod - that would have been perfect but I have just installed the latest HTC gingerbread update so I cannot root my phone :-( in order to get it to work.
Why HTC did not have the gingerbread notification window implemented in the latest update is beyond me.
Hello. Am using the Galaxy S4 with Apex Launcher Pro on it. Love both of them pretty much. But there was this 1 thing that annoys me. Whenever I set swipe down feature to toggle my status bar / show my notifications, all the widgets on my screen will move downwards when the status bar is being toggled. It's kinda annoying seeing my widgets move out of positions. I am using 4.1.2 stock JB and the show notification bar option doesn't work. When I swipe down, it only toggles my status bar instead of bringing the whole notification bar down. Are there any apps that would enable or show my notification bar without moving the widgets? Thanks in advance.
? Don't you get the notifications bar when you swipe down from the top of the screen - I mean without down swipe enabled in Apex. Used Apex for ages and never known this not to function

I hide the notification bar. Does it work only when the notification bar is not hide? I've tried this on another phone it works and the notification is also hidden. I just swipe down with gestures and the bar expands. It happens in Nova Launcher too...
How can I use toggles in Halo 2.0? I have watched the videos, however none of them explain setup. I have tried the halo app and pinned apps in Halo, and also tried status bar widgets with power toggles. Nothing I have tried lets me toggle settings in Halo. Does anybody have an idea for me? Thanks in advance!
Its a third party app called power toggles. Download it from the play store. Then open the app and enable the notification widget.
It should then appear in halo.

Okay I have power toggles... It appears in halo with a lock icon. I tried whitelisting power toggles, but that doesn't work either. I'll try a reboot.
So after a reboot I still have the power toggle icon with a lock on it?

Did you open the app and enable the notification widget?
Yes the notification widget is enabled. The toggles display in the status bar, just not in halo.
I was wondering how to completely disable the notification bar on the lockscreen. Being able to access the notification bar on the lockscreen kind of defeats the purpose of a "lockscreen." Please help. Cheers
As far as I know, there is no way to do this through the stock software but you can disable notifications from showing up. There are third party apps like Widget Locker that support the feature your talking about and I believe some launchers do too.
