Not worth the upgrade from S2
Agree, it looks ugly, and not worth upgrading from my sexy galaxy s2. Some features seem to be great but got this feeling its battery eating features and not worth it overall .

Just caught up with all the news at engadget adn I agree the sgs2 looks better and i cant see it be worth the upgrade. Shame they didnt go for a better camera module can't see quad core making a huge amount of difference as ics runs smooth on my sgs2. Bit disappointed as thought this could be the next phone but ill think ill wait for something else now
why da hell will i upgrade i 2 days in the dev section u will hear of wow an ruu just leaked and one month later every single feature thats not related to hardware and they are not even the eye tracking we have 2 mpx camera too so why da hell upgrade ?
i'm just glad that SGS II will be much cheaper when the SGS III came out
We have a Galaxy S III forum now, please lets talk about that phone over there.
Thanks for understanding

Not really lol, just thinking that shouldn't samsung like give us galaxy users a upgrade option, I mean I just bought the i9000, and nexus s is coming at thee end of december, wtf!!. I am now tangled in a two year contract and I can kiss goodbye to a nexus s, @#%;?/!! . Don't you agree people of the world! What are your views?
Im sure the ROM will be ported and then my phone will basically be a nexus s.

That's just the world of smartphones, sadly.
As an old Blackberry user, this doesn't surprise me at all.. But from looking at the specs of the Nexus S and the SGS, there's really not a major difference.. I definitely won't be losing sleep over it

Well...here's the problem.. Nexus S doesn't really feel like an upgrade from Galaxy S.
1. Bluetooth 3.0 becomes Bluetooth 2.1
2. moviNAND becomes iNAND
3. No microSD card slot
4. No 720p video recording
Of course there are some good things with the Nexus S
1. Android 2.3 and software support from Google (No more Samsung!)
2. Contour Display
3. Near Field Communications (NFC)
4. Three-axis gyroscope
5. Anti-fingerprint display coating
6. Flash for camera
7. Maybe better GPS
However, to me, the only real advantage with Nexus S is software support (and GPS if it's true). Hardware-wise, Nexus S is not as good as Galaxy S. I think the best would be the Nexus S rom gets ported to Galaxy S.

Do you think the devs will be able to bring some of these features to the vibrant/I9000?
Looks like its using the accelerometer. It could happen if we have a touchwiz 4 port.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Well comparing it to the evo3d it basically has better specs plus hw acceleration which is a very nice feature. The screen is awesome imo, tho some people don't seem to like the oversaturated colours. Personally i love it but you have to check it yourself before you decide.
Anyway i wouldn't upgrade right now if i were you, you still have a very good phone, just wait for something newer and better, like the quadcores expected to come out in 2012
My first Android and like this so much. Even after using it for three months I still couldn't make it work the way I'd like, but still its not bad. Frankly, I'd be more happy if this device had iOS instead of Android.

If this phone had IOS instead of Android id sell it, IOS is nowhere near as good as Android, everything works out of the box but your strictly limited in what you can do,i hate restriction.
Best phone right now without a doubt, having owned it since May it's been excellent! Pervious Android device was the DHD, it's faster, smoother and slicker!

Fastest android phone out there, but build quality could be better.
tbh the only phone that could probably knock the sgs2 off it's perch is the motorola atrix.. bigger battery and tegra 2, but then i've never used one so i have no idea about user experience.
Hello My very post here. Best phone I ever owned. it would have been perfect if it was a tegra Device can't see why they did that for a flagship Device !!!!
You will miss sense. Htc phones have better dialer, more useful widgets, like for example favorite contacts and rss reader, better sms delivery report, lockscreen and ringtone volume management. On other side Sgs2 has better multimedia support (mkv) better screen and weight, brilliant call quality and its very smooth in menus.

They bloat and put a hell more features and the package is about twice what AOSP ROM is.
Look at CM7 size and compare to Froyo Stock.

i9305 fills the weak spots of the i9300. Such as the dc-hspa and even more 4G. Aswell as the 2GB ram. This would have made the s3 look even better

Gf has a N4, I have a SGS3. Still prefer the SGS3 purely because I'm using a 64gb sd card and need the extra storage. 16gb is nowhere near enough. Apart from that I do love the N4.
i like S3 better, certainly!:good:
Mostly all my phone came from samsung. But most my friends has the nexus some reason. Not a keen fan though..
Samsung needs to stop breaking Android with all their crap.
If you want to add it to the phone Samsung then use a Fricken APP! One we can delete if we want to.
Oh and the dialer SUCKS, adding lag and crap to the dialer so you can add some features is NOT ok.
I really want the Nexus experience with the Samsung hardware. IS THIS TO MUCH TO ASK.
