Just Installed a Clean version of CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1 Stable build, And GAPPS 20110828, But after I booted it it came up with the Google Account thing, And I tried to Sign in to my account and it said something like "Could not establish a connection" so I decided I would skip it and fix it later. Then for some reason the Android market does not even show in the apps, but it does show it is installed. I tried to install it over it again but nothing changed. Any Help?

Try reflashing gapps... It should be there.. As for adding google account you can go to accounts and settings, add account and select google..

I'm posting this here because I'm a noob and don't have the required 10 posts to post this in the Dev section. I just flashed my G2 with the InsertCoin_Vision Sense2.1 + 3.0 (v1.5) ROM and am having a problem logging into my google account to sync it. For the language I selected English (UK) because there was no option for US, and after trying numerous times to sync my google account I get a message saying " sorry your username and password do not match. Please try again. To recover your account information go to google.co.uk/accounts on your computer." I am positive I have the correct username and password, as I am able to log into the account using the phone's and my PC's browsers. I tried to sync a different gmail account and I'm having the same problem. The more I think about it, this really sounds like an issue with the wrong language selection and the phone subsequently trying to contact a UK server rather than US. I also verified on my wife's G2 she has the phone set to English (US) which for some strange reason is not an option on my phone I tried flashing the radio lib matcher and after rebooting the problem persists. ow can I add the option for the proper English (US) language selection? I would greatly appreciate some help on getting this to work. Since I can't post in the proper thread, if you see this siulmagic thanks for your hard work on this ROM.
I did some more research online and found the morelcale2 app and was able to add the English(US) language and I was able to create a new google account however I'm still not able to sync my 2 other google accounts.
Try reflashing or restoring your nandroid and reflashing. Also this wouldn't belong in the development area and would be moved here probably. It could also be a problem with the rom... head over to off topic, get your post count up, and ask around on the thread for your rom.

Thanks deliriousDroid, I assume re-flashing the ROM will overwrite the settings I have set up so far? Will my apps be gone to? I'm really hoping I won't have to re-flash since I spent a good amount of time setting the phone up. Any InsertCoin ROM user having this problem or have any input.

Yes when you reflash all your settings will be erased. You can backup your apps with their data with Titanium Backup and easily restore them later on.

Problem Solved!
I figured I'd post the solution to my problem for anyone else who may experience it at some point. The reason I could not sign into my 2 previously existing accounts but could create a new google account and sign in with no trouble was because I had the google authenticator enabled on my account, having previously installed the app on the phone when I had the stock ROM installed. I had to reinstall the google authenticator app and add a new phone under my account settings on my PC. I then created a new verification code, entered it on the app on my phone and all was well.
I rooted and installed CM7[.0.3]. I attempted to install gapps at the same time, but they didn't appear after I booted my NC with CM7. So I was wondering, how do I go about installing gapps at this point?

Did you set up your wifi before installing gapps?
You will need to be connected to Wifi for them to show up. After you flashed them in CWM and are connected to wifi, usually a "set-up" type thing appears which allows you to log into your Google account and choose what specific applications you want installed.
If that doesn't happen, when connected to wifi, go to Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add account > Add Google Account. After this, hopefully the set up should run.
I tried adding an account, but for some reason I'm getting an error message.
CM7 v7.0.3 No Google Market
I have installed CM7 v 7.0.3 successfully, and tried first GAPPs v.20110307 then v.20110613. Neither produced the Google Market. I also cannot set up my gmail account nor my yahoo account. Wifi on and great signal. Tried install, and when no market, restored to factory nook. Reinstalled CM7 and Gapps, and still no market or prompt to set up the Google account. I've searched till my eyes are bleeding and I have yet to find a suitable answer that works. Not sure whether to give up or continue to troubleshoot. If you have a solution, please share it. Please provide detailed instructions since I am a noob and you know how we are.

OK... I flashed CM7.1(RC1), and also the latest Gapps...
Both of these were already on my SD card from prior to my resetting the phone back to Froyo....
SO... I am rooted (have not checked radio or simcard), but when I flashed CM7.1 and Gapps, and then rebooted.... I didn't have a market app.
So I went through the browser to an xda thread from this summer where I could download a market app. Installed it.
When launching market, it states I need to add an account-- and this is correct as I had not added a gmail/google account as of yet.
But when I go to Accounts under Settings.... It says I can setup an EXCHANGE ACCOUNT.... What is this???? I tried just entering a gmail account and my password, and it says it cannot connect to server.
What is going on...????? This has nothing to do with the market app... (I don't think).
Anybody have a clue??

An Exchange Email is for Microsoft Outlook users. It allows us to either get Pushed or polled email services.
if you cannot get the g/apps i would highly recommend wiping, flashing the ROM, then flashing the g/apps again. And it does use a specific g/apps package with 2.3 ROMS.

Thank you for your reply. After an innumerable number of hours I was able to root it (without using a USB cable.. I just switched to ADB wireless after temproot), I think I got everything the cyanogen guide is supposed to deliver... But I need to recheck in hboot.

I'm getting error -110 after I'm trying to install something from the market. Some times clearing the history helps me to install the app but the new app not working, always FC.
For now I can't use it at all. I can update my apps but can't download new apps.

Delete your gmail account and restart..Ive got the same issue with my xoom and it helped. Anyway I solved chanching the rom...

I already changed 3 Sense3.5 ROMs, on MIUI and CM7 the market working great.
It also works after HR but after a while I'm still getting -110...
I'll try to delete the account and update.

Try to create a new one, then set the second to default market account. Delete the first one and restart.
This way it will be working...

Download Market 3.4.4.apk from internet. Just google it, plenty of sources. Install it. The new market will replace the old one. Sign out of your google account and in manage apps menu, clear data for the market.apk.
Sign in to your google account again.
You're good to go.
I already deleted the account and registered a new one. I'll try it with the new account, i did a Nanadroid backup before so I always can back.

Try removing market.apk completely with titanium backup, the install the one you downloaded. If that doesn't work, find another ROM.
EDIT: Also, when you install after removing it, clear cache and data before starting.
EDIT2: This can also happen if you are using market enabler.
Well, it didn't work. (I don't use market enabler.)
After removing the market by titanium i couldn't install the "new" market. Was getting "app not installed". After 3 times i succeed and installed it and on the first download -110 error...
I did HR with the same ROM and opened a new account on Google. It's working and I'm downloading new apps without errors. Now all I left to do is wait for couple of days or weeks...

Don't panoc lol. Try re-flashing your ROM again. Sign in with your google account and try again. This has happened to a lot of people with the new Nexus, not as much with other phones but it happens I guess. Just flash another ROM and see what happeness.

Just for update.
I was with the Virtuous Affinity 2.05.0 Sense 3.5 ROM and after a lot of HR and re flashing the ROM i decided to change the ROM.
I flashed LeeDrOiD HD V5.1.1 Sense 3 and till now it's ok. No errors at all.
personally i think this is a google issue and not a rom issue.
Reason being is i have a desire hd, an archos 101 g9, archos 5a, samsung galaxy tab all on the same gmail account. When i get this it happens accross all 4 devices and not just one, i think there is a max amount that google allows you to download a day then when you hit it you get a -101 unknown error, usually it clears itself in 24 hours - well thats my experiance....
Well, I don't think it's a google issue.
I installed tons of apps in one day without any errors and on the previous ROM i installed only a few with this error.
In addition look at the other errors I got ( i couldn't install even APKs):
I know others have experienced this error. No one mentions a fix. Just flashed lightspeed 4.3 and its virtually unusable without being able to download from the market. Can some kind soul enlighten me?

Before doing all that, try clearing cache and data from the Market (now called "Google Play Store") in App settings. That did the trick for me.
I had to manually select my Gmail account from within Google Play..

if you're not using Clockwork rom manager you should. I have cwm5.0 and I rooted my phone with cm9-ics and was getting a 921 error. I went and ran the "permissions fix" in CWM and everything works fine now
Permissions fix in recovery can cause its own set of problems, like borking your contacts photos, and a couple other things I can't remember off-hand. Easily fixable, but it would probably be better to target a more specific fix for the Market/Play rather than trying such a global fix. Just my opinion...

its not a problem with your devices, i cant even see my apps on the website. its a google play glitch and is wide spread but not every device appears to be affected in the same way. very strange.
i have tryed all fixes and still the same
921 could be only CM
After installing 3.5.16 it gave me the 921 error.
I have a Moto XT701, and I use ava's version of CM7.
could this be related to CM specifically? Anyone got the error with a stock ROM?
next time it happens can you log into google talk, I remember back in the day if that wasnt signed in market would be borked

After some digging here is what worked for me:
I added my wifes gmail account to accounts and sync
I changed google play store to the new account
I checked to see if updates were working (they were)
I changed google play store back to my account
I removed my wifes gmail account (system settings > accounts and sync > select account > remove account
It is working fine now. I can update and download without error.

Same here. Only happen after a ROM upgrade and partial restore. I guess things got messy.

Hi,
I have a Navon Platinum 10 tab, ICS 4.0.4 on it. I had this error, too.
I read some alternatives for fixing google play errors, but I tired to delete my account and add acount and clear cache and so one... I resolved that by this way:
- turn on your tab device
- do not start play store application!
- in Settings-->Applications menu, on All tab search for gogle play application, and clear cahe and data too. You need to do this only once time.
- run Root Browser on your device ( if you have'n this, than download, install, or you may use Root Explorer if you have)
- find vending.apk in System/App folder
- long click on it, a local menu will appear. Chose Permissions.
- set permissons 777 for this file ( klikk on every checkbox).
- close all running apps
-restart your device, and enjoy
It works fine, Since I set this permissions, I don't get any errors from google play,
