I just got a refurb Mytouch 4G after mine was sent in for repairs. The new phone has these weird vertical lines (its like a shadow? not sure how to describe) about .5 cm apart, only visible at an angle not when looking at it directly on top. Is this a defect? My old MT4G didn't have it.
Screen shot?

Screenshots wont show it. Its a screen imperfection not software. Will try to take a photo tonight but its hard to capture on photo.

Hi there,
I was looking at my phone the other day. Whenever the LCD displays black, i can see around 12-13 little colour spots on my screen. I was thinking LCD burn in or something but my screen hasn't been on for long periods of time displaying the same thing. The spots are VERY faint, It's hard getting a picture of them. Any threat? Could it grow and spread to other parts of the screen possibly?
Cheers
Dial *#*#3424#*#* and check the display test. It could be dead (sub)pixels of a certain colour.

Cheers mate. I'll try that now.

Okay, from what it seems in the display test, there is no permanent problem with my screen. On the black slide the screen has no issues. Thanks a lot for the help.

EDIT: Having a closer look it turns out them colour spots are still there. Most likely be a replacement for me. Cheers.
I thought I had a similar issue. After closer inspection it looks like 2 of those 'touch points' (Can I call it that? I'm referring to those dots that make up a matrix that is present on the screen itself, best viewed at certain angles when the screen is black)
Well it looks like 2 of those points are overly glossy, like an over active pixel. Seems most noticeable on a white background. Anyway to sort that out?
Well, I called HTC. They aren't aware of anything like this being 'normal' so I presume its a faulty screen. Mines getting picked up by HTC on the 4th for a repair/replacement. I would rather do without the hassle but I just don't want it to worsen.

In the top right area of my screen (the speaker is behind it) there is a little grey dot on the screen. When I touch the speaker, it rainbows the screen almost like a pin or a screw is pushing against the back of the screen. Is anyone else having this?
Nope havnt seen it or heard of it

Ill try to get a picture of it before I exchange it. I got it tonight. Sold my iPad, and got a iPad 2 and omg, the bleeding LCD was horrible. I love my EVO and I am gonna make the jump to Android full time.
Hi all,
does anyone have a problem with bright white spots that is visible on a white background (like browser blank screen, contacts and so on)?
This spot is brighter than the surrounding area, about of 2x2 mm size, the edges blurred, not clear.
Spot only visible on a white background, if I look at the screen with some angle (no matter from what side).
On dark/black backgrounds spot disappear and not visible.
I have Nexus 7 32GB 3G version.

I have the same device as you do and don't have any screen problems. Can ya capture it in a screen shot?

I attached best photos I made.
Initially, after purchase, everything was OK with screen. This problem just came from "nowhere". I can not recall any actions that can lead to this problem.
I see what your talking about. Have you dropped it or had anything fall on it or anything like that?

As far as I can see device was not dropped and nothing fall on it. Screen glass not damaged and not scratched.
I noticed a strange pattern of squares all over the screen..they are rather Invisible until you look at it under some light already certain angle. I tried my best to take a picture but it's hard to see if you're not looking from human eyes. Either way I don't know if this is part of the design or is it some type of weird defect. I attach some pictures check it out. Look near the light glare and you will see the little square patterns they are all over the screen I tried to capture it as well as I could.

I searched pretty well on Google but I guess I wasn't wording it correctly going to grab my buddies Nexus and compare it a little later today but good to know that this isn't a defect

I have that circle to... My colleague has one to, also with that circle... Seems common..
Doesn't bother me anymore after I put on a nice screenprotector.
My new one (after in store exchange) have no screen marks or any other "weird" parts...
I didn't notice any problem like this in any of my other devices.
but whenever i take a picture with G2, and try to have a look at it in gallary,
the picture would first look really blurry at first.
and after 0.5~1 second, the the blur image would get cleaned up from top to bottom of the screen in multiple section, from right to left.
is this normal? or do i have a defect phone?
Mine does the same thing. I seen too remember my Samsung Fascinate do the same thing, although not a HD screen. I don't think it's a defect.
