Plz Help stuck on KindleFire fff Logo. - Kindle Fire General

Hello All,
I have had the KF since release.
I use to just run it rooted with GoLauncher and market installed.
A month ago I decided to restore it to stock and then start from scratch and put a ROM on it like I do on my phones.
I saw the amazing KFU instead of doing it manually and downloaded it. I installed it fine, rooted my KF put FFF on there (the one with Andy over the KF logo), CWM touch, and flashed an AOKP rom.
It has worked fine, but now that Hashcode has the 3.0 Kernel kinks mainly worked out I wanted to try it. It says it does not work well with CWM so I opened up the KFU and told it to flash TWRP.
When it rebooted to the Kindle Fire Logo with Andy above it got stuck and said no device in adb.
In device manager it shows up as Samsung Android Device > ADB Composite Device. I would assume this is b/c I have a Galaxy Nexus that I work with often.
I deleted the drivers reboooted and it shows up as an unknown USB device. If I manually drive to the KFU drivers folder it says that it cant find a suitable driver.
If I run the KFU install driver batch file it runs and the device shows back up as a Samsung device.
I am on Win 7 x64 btw.
I have tried diferent things with the KFU and the KF Unbrick utility but they cannot see my device and I am stuck on this screen.
Any help to get it showing up in adb before my battery dies would be appreciated.
I am experienced with android and adb and have been for years but obviously I am overlooking something so anything is welcome.

Update.
I ran the KF Unbrick Utility and clicked the boot loop otpion and it got me into the ROM load screen but it is stuck.

Now I can get in CWM, but it says it cant mount the sdcard

I have had this same problem and after a little research I found that I was stuck in fast boot. I used the Kindle fire Utility to change the boot mode. KFU wont recognize the device but you can still send the boot mode change to it. I hope this helps.

Woot it is working now.
I just assumed when it said device was not found it could not find it lol.
Thank you.

Well I have TWRP on there now, but when I mount the sd card and try to open it from Computer it says it needs to format it read it.
Any ideas?
I need to either get the update.zip or a rom on there.
Thank you in advance.

NP. Glad I could help.

So from within twrp you can't get it mounted. Do you have a bootable rom on there now.

Yeah I can get in my old AOKP, but the drive either wont show under computer or it will show greyed out and wont let me open it to add any files.

I disabled debugging and it showed up under Computer greyed out. I clicked turn on usb storage on the KF and I have a wheel spinning, but nothing happens and I cannot access the drive under Computer.

Check that driver. You had mentioned earlier that it should up as another device you worked with. Is that still the case.

Ok I noticed in the notification bar that even the KF itself said it could not read the USB b/c it was an unknown format and to format it.
I did and now I can see it. Putting my files on it now.
Wish I know what happened to the SD Card but ohwell.
THank you for all your help.

Sweet. Hope all goes well. I just popped the energy ics mod on mine and it is working great. Just a few minor bugs but HWA is working

Yeah still confused on that.
No matter how much I uninstall the driver (which makes it show ups as kindle now) and run the batch in the KFU for drivers it goes right back under samsung device.

I had to put the driver in manually through device manager because my Samsung prevail did the same thing.

Unrevoked problems

Sorry to be a hassle, but I just can't figure this out!!
I've rooted my phone with the "new clarified method" thread, gotten to the clockwork mod and everything, but once I've done that I just cannot get the Unrevoked 2 to work. I've tried it on Windows 7, xp, and osx, and nothing seems to work! The main issue I'm getting is that it'll do the whole process, and then I think it says "reboot to recovery" and then I just get that old phone with a red triangle error. What could I possibly be doing wrong??? It can't be driver issues, because doesn't OSX do that automatically?
I had a similar issue on windows 7 and a simple pc reboot seemed to work for me.
Nope, still no luck. Am I supposed to put these Reflash files on the phone somewhere? I just feel like I'm missing some big step or something. Why is there no good tutorial on this process yet?
Oh my god I think I'm going to go insane! Please someone, point me in the right direction! I have done this hundreds of times now, I'm gonna die. All I can get is "Done!" and then my phone is showing me a big dumb red exclamation point triangle thingy. What am I doing wrong??????
Was I supposed to do something once I first reached the clockwork on my initial root? Cuz all I did was reboot to OS. I don't know if anybody can tell, but I'm kinda desperate. hah
Did you make sure that the phone is recongized in the device manager once plugged in? Need to help us out tell me what you have done so far? Did you install the SDK USB Drivers?
when at the command prompt, did you type adb devices? Does your device show up as connected?

I was having the same problem also until I ran reflash.exe and the command prompt both as admin. I also reran Android SDK installing all of the updates. After plugging in the phone, the SDK picked up two more updates, one of which was USB drivers. Once I did that, things seemed to have worked.
Use attn1's method. The clarified method didnt work for me properly.
I assume you never flashed a rooted rom after reaching clockwork mod. If not the phone is not yet rooted. You have to get back to clockwork recovery and flash a rooted rom (either attn1's liberated one or his stock rooted rom). Both found in his liberated thread. Then set up all the drivers for unrevoked and run it. It should work then.
When my phone is just sitting in bootloader, it is not recognized by adb devices.
You have to go through the whole loop process again booting your phone into recovery and connecting the usb cable.

Thats not good, try reformatting your sd card on your pc with an external reader not with your phone and try again. I'm almost certain it needs to be recognized by adb devices when in bootloader.
Just managed to install the Liberated beta ROM, but now unrevoked can't even get past superuser privelages. it's not popping up anymore
Nevermind, it gets past superuser now, but now it just says "waiting for reboot" and completely reboots the phone to the point at which i can use it regularly
Have you installed the hboot drivers?
Re-ran unrevoked?
Edit: Does it reach "done!"?
Yes, yes, and yes. And my phone just keeps getting to the red triangle. doesn't make any sense to me! And at this point, I'm positive I have no drivers getting in the way like Sync etc., and I'm sure HBoot is installed correctly.
Go to the android market and download titanium backup. It requires root so if it installs we know that you are at least rooted.
Try this, because I had the same problem. Go into device manager with Revoked2 says waiting for reboot. Look under devices above my computer or below cant remember and right click uninstall and remove the android device. reboot your computer then see if it installs are does it automatically, if not don't do anything just plug the phone in and get to hboot/ red triangle screen, then try revoked2 again. This finally got loop to read my device then when I got to clockwork I loaded "liberated rom"
Screw revoked2, just get to clockwork recovery and have liberated rom on your SD card ready to go. Then after install I ran revoked2 for clockwork mod.
Good Luck

[Q] bricked a500 - vibrating black screen

Okay... so the other day in class I was thumbing through the intrawebs and noticed the leaked ICS had came out for the A500... I tried flashing the ROM to my tablet, thinking it would be a cinch if I just followed the directions. No go, just stuck on Android boot logo. That's fine and all, made a back up with CWM (which i think was my initial problem with the ICS version.. correct if I'm wrong please,) but... my back-ups check sums were mismatching for everything. Couldn't get them to match and couldn't figure it out so I decided to just flash root stock version back on to the tablet and go from there using my titanium backup.
I flashed, and bam... vibrating black screen, no CWM recovery anymore no matter what I do. I've been using the SDK manager / ADB terminal thinger / EUUS Acer Iconia Tab Software Upgrade Utility. I cannot for the life of me find my CPUID, or at least the RIGHT CPUID. I understand to use software to find it but I don't think my tablet is giving the correct info, or something??!?! When I run adb devices in CMD in the platform-tools directory it doesn't list any devices available. If anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated. Could possibly upload a screenshot of my usb devices with the USBdeview software?

To get your old uid number, look in one of your cwm backup folders on your SD card.should say uid.txt.
Then you can either use the photo tutorial at androidtabletgeeks.com, or there is text instructions here at xda.
Also, sounds like you may need to load the a DB drivers for your tab.
Help ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got a similar problem. My A500 are with the Boot "Verified Boot failed" and no way I can make it work again. He was with the ICS ROM'm trying to make it back to the Stock ROM but I can not. Please Help Me.

Okay, that got me started in a good direction I feel like. The only problem is that CWM made them all "*.img" files. There is a "system.img", "boot.img", and "recovery.img". Which one should I be trying to tear into to get it? And I'm pretty sure I have the adb drivers installed, or at least my device shows up in my device manager when I put it in APX mode, and I've downloaded the USB recovery drivers from the ACER website, along with other drivers that people have suggested.
Thanks for your quick reply! Hopefully this gets me somewhere, if you have any more suggestions on where to find it within the filesystem / *.img files let me know.
** Also a "data.img"... didn't want to leave the right one out on accident haha.**
Still nothing...
I've been trying to go through the old CWM back up .img files, but the only one I can even open and extract is the system.img which from what I can tell, has nothing to do with the CPUID. Next I started up a virtual ubuntu to try ADB out on there, same results. Even changed the vendor ID to the one given to me by lsusb, still nothing. I'm out of thoughts on this... I'm burnt out on trying to get this to work.
When I opened up usbdeview, I saw an old version of my Acer Iconia tab when it was actually working. Used that serial number and it made it through to where it said it was upgrading, but then sat/hung overnight. didn't move or make any progress so I unplugged it so I could go to class and keep working on it... now that cpuid doesn't work either.
Is my tablet a fancy paperweight now?

People,
I managed to make my A500 back to work with an update file, but forum cannot permit to put the link here. Take out the spaces of the link below:
www . fileserve . com / file / 2HUVP9D / update(ok) . zip
Rename the file to "update.zip", then save this on Sdcard and Boot the A500 with Vol - pressed.
Worked for me.

Did you have a recovery that you were able to boot into when you did this? Or does holding vol - while powering up install the update.zip? If you used a recovery manager it's not going to help me at all.

That's where I started this journey to get it working again lol. The only problem I'm having is with finding my CPUID or the UID he talks about. The numbers I get don't work because they're for the recovery driver, not an actual UID for my tablet. There is no serial number displayed when connected.

Well I had... but I think you just helped me out. Will these show up if I'm using the recovery driver to get it to be recognized? I can find it when plugged in under Acer Iconia, but I think that's from a previous plug-in before I flashed it. Now when I plug it in it comes up under "acer picasso recovery driver". I never new what vendor ID to look for, so I'm going to do that.
Do I have to put serial number in the .txt file named cpuid to get it to work?
Thanks for replying and giving me something to do!

Okay, so I'm in my college class so I don't have my own laptop with me, I'm trying this on a "frozen" desktop. I said earlier my tablet show up in usbdeview as acer picasso recovery driver, but it flip flops between that and acer USB-Boot recovery driver. Don't know why. Either way, when I plug my tablet into my computer and put it in APX mode, it shows up, but no serial number or anything. I'm going to try what you said on my laptop at home where I've plugged it in before I flashed it, maybe I can find it then. Hopefully. Here's a USBdeView picture of what I'm seeing when I plug my tablet in.

Yeah, it should be listed on your laptop if it was plugged in while running honeycomb.

Hey so do ours. Gotta love the key combination to get past it
But that's awesome, this gives me hope! Will try this if I ever get out of this class... yay for linux classes that last from 8 to 3.
I have also bricked mine due to not reading things before jumping in as usual doh.
I installed the lightspeed ics beta 5 and it was pretty nice but a game I have been playing kept freezing so I decided to go back to 3.2 official by putting it on the sd card and booting recovery. It went through install etc but then just goes to a bootloop with the blue lightspeed flashing adroid. CWM is no more and like an idiot did not get my cpuid prior.
I tried installing the 3.0.1 unstable too but that did not work either. It just sits on flashing android now.
Will I have to wait until an official acer ics update.zip is available once released?
Thanks in advance

I don't think you'd HAVE to wait for the office ICS update. For you, I'd say do what I've been trying to do which is get it back to stock rom and recovery manager so I can wait for the official ICS update. Eventually, if I ever do unbrick this thing, then I will have to decide if I want to wait or not. Or dual-boot ubuntu

Team Win Recovery Loop

Hello, I am new to XDA as being a member. This is my first post, and I promise I have spent at least an hour looking for similar threads to no avail.
Now to explain my problem,
Last night I rooted my kindle again after the 6.3 update that destroyed my last root. I used the Kindle Fire utility 9.5 by Vashypoo, and selected install permanent root with superuser.
As I discovered after this, I needed to get team win recovery before getting 6.3, so the KFU installed it for me, and it backed up my data before continuing with the rest of the root. After it said complete, I booted up my kindle, to find a yellow triangle and in a couple seconds, i got sent to this page automatically that I know now is the team win main menu. Every time I boot up my kindle, I get sent to the team win main page. I saw on a video by Nat3mil that the reason this was happening was because my kindle was automatically booting in recovery, so I tried to use kindle's bootmode menu to change the bootmode back to normal (4000) whenever I try, I get a message saying "The system cannot find the drive specified", and it would stop doing anything. I tried to manually set the bootmode back to normal by using command lines from a forum here on xda, similar to my problem, HOWEVER, whenever I try to connect my kindle to the pc, 9 out of ten times, my computer doesnt even recognize my kindle is connected, and when it does, it installs software, KFU says adb is online, and STILL whenever I try using KFU, command lines, or the Kindle Unbrick utility, it says "waiting for device". I literally cannot do a thing without help.... So to sum up, my problem is that I cannot connect my kindle to the computer, and second, I don't know what else to try... I really need help, and I have been doing tons of research (over six hours) to no avail, or progress.
Thank you for your time, and I hope that someone can help me.
Read this guide. It will give you an idea of what your problem is and what you are doing wrong. Its lengthy but worth it if you want do much with your Kindle, like installing recovery.

Hello.
I write to you because I have a big problem with mi LG G2 D802.
Yesterday I tried to install a CRM apk to use in a signature of the University. I was using CM11, but the apk had failed. So, I restored my ROM STOCK backup and when the phone start, a new update was downloaded and installed. Then, the phone only enter in recovery mode. I tried the different wipes, restore again ROM Stock, install again CM11 ROM but the problem was not solved.
I tried to enter in bootleader (pushing vol+ and insert the usb cable), but the phone reboot in recovery.
Now, I don´t know why, the phone is empty. I tried to restore ROM Stock backup from USB OTG but the recovery don´t recognizes the folders.
Please, can anybody help me? I need the pone!
Thanks.

[Q] Tmobile D801 will not boot FIXED

Just switched over to Tmobile from Sprint and before even signing into google i went ahead and tried to root my phone. Rooting was a success. Used Flashify to flash twrp recovery. Downloaded rooted stock D80110G rom and began debloating it (like I did with the Sprint version) and then booted to recovery, wiped twice, flashed and reboot. Well, now it will just keep rebooting back to recovery and thats it!
I still have access to download mode
still have access to custom recovery
Did not do a nand backup unfortunately
cant mount in twrp because computer no longer recognizes phone!
shows up under unknown devices as LG D801
Tried the stock recovery using LG Flash tool posted in generals but ran into the "can not update because of your device policy" or something like that. Reinstalled and tried it again many times, even switching languages and countries (the last step)
Tried using the ubuntu method posted by partager.info but even ubuntu does not recognize the device. Matter of fact nothing even happens when i plug the phone in.
Tried reinstalling drivers, tried on 2 different laptops (one windows 8.1, one windows 7, and an ubuntu usb boot) and my desktop computer (windows 8.1) and am just unable to mount using twrp because none of them recognizes it!
tried using the adb sideload but twrp just stays trying to load adb sideload forever and adb terminal cant even find the connected usb device.
Tried factory reset but that just takes me to twrp.
I've redownloaded the rooted stock rom and left everything as is. I'm assuming I just need to get it onto the phone somehow so I can flash it.
I have an otg cable but not quite sure how to work it wit twrp or if that's even an option; I've just purchased it.
I feel like I've exhausted my options. Anything else I can try?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Should've just used Titanium to debloat instead of trying to do a fresh install! I know I know
Figured it out! not sure how to delete this thread now

Hey sorry, I haven't been on the site for a couple days.
I used the flashtool to go back to stock. Had to enter download mode and work from there. The big issue I was having was a driver issue. Uninstalled every driver related to android and then reinstalled after a restart and that did the trick. For some reason android phones are giving me a lot of driver issues on windows 8.1
follow these steps here but make sure you read a chunk of the thread as the steps in the main post are not complete

[Q] Soft brick Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi) cant get and ADB response

So, in my recent experiments with my Nexus 7 I think I may have pushed it beyond what I can figure out
The situation: its on the bootloader, I still have my recovery (TWRP), I have no OS running on it, nor do I have a zip file for one on my tablet that I can flash.
Problems: It wont show up on my computer as an external drive, no matter what I seem to try (uninstalling drivers, installing drivers, trying universal drivers google's drivers, smasung's drivers,...) I cant push folders onto it, or flash ROM's onto it, I have tried using both Wug's toolkit and the SkipSoft toolkit, and the response I keep getting is no ADB interface found.
Hopeful goal: get some OS up and running
Any help would be appreciated.
if it's of any interest I am running Windows 7
Using Wug's Toolkit, make sure you have the softbrick/bootloop box checked. It will look for fastboot instead of ADB, which is not available in bootloader mode.
WugFresh NexusRootToolkit -
Flash stock+unroot and check soft-bricked/bootloop
I have tried that, couldn't get it to work

Hope I'm not too late to the thread. If you can get to TWRP you can use a USB-OTG and a thumb drive to flash. I've had to do it myself a few times.

Yes because USB-OTG uses the protocols from the phone.
I'm glad you got it working, but for future reference;
If you have an OTG cable, and a thumb drive, and a working TWRP you can flash. You just go into mounts and storage and switch it from internal to OTG, then go back to install and find your zip.
fixed
I used Wug's toolkit and in options you can set it to force flash so I did that and that seemed to resolve the issue
