[Q] disable red led when battery low - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to disable the pulsing red led notification when the battery is low? I have a 2300mAh battery with the phone reading it 500mAh, and it drains to 1% in an hour, and the phone still can be used for about 1.5 days. So basically with this battery the red led always pulses. Im using CM7.2-RC1.

is there no way to disable it? :/

Not sure if it can be disabled completely but "Th3bill" came up with a patch for aftermarket batteries for us Photon users http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25494725

Vibrabt 6.1 green circle

can someone please tell me what the little green circular thing next to the time on the status bar is, and what it does? I would have posted it on the Dev. thread but some guy bit my head off for asking a question there once.

Guess you don't use the search button. It's a battery icon replacement for more accuracy.

I thought that was the obvious answer, but as I write, it shows 100% in the circle, but 91% in real life (in settings and Battery Minder). Thanks.
its cuase the stock battery icon doesnt show the real battery %.
If you search the Vibrant forum there are mods for this, with different kind of icons

[Q] Battery problem

Hey, I just bought an used HTC G1 from ebay. When I'm trying to use it, the phone just turns off with no warnning and with 80%~ of charge with only 10 minutes of use.. If I wait a little bit, I'm able to turn it on again and see that it has 80% of charge, but keep turning off.
I'm very confused because it just charge for a few minutes and the green led comes on.
Well, the phone was first with android 1.6 and then I flash cyanogen 2.2 but its the same think, and all the apps that I use to see the battery status indicate "good"
is the battery old or there's anything i'm missing?
Thank you!
(sorry for any english mistakes )
My two G1's I had same problems, the replacement batteries fixed the random shutoff of the phone.
Sounds like your battery is messed up. Did you see if the battery is swollen or a odd shape?
You can get a replacement on Amazon. You can get a two for one sale if you look around.

Oh im having the same problem and i notice my battery does have a lil bulge on the top it so i guess i will try a new battery i hope it works
I had problems with the battery too, if the battery is bumped, don't use it, it may explode and hurt you.
I cannot post links but I recommend the mugen battery.
I have it and it's working great.
it's the battery..u'll see that u can use it while it's plugged to charge.....
and when not...bang boom-off!!!
had the same probs....switched to a 2850mAh battery
and also, dont use any random charger!!!

not really understanding your question on MIUI, the indicator light should be orange while charging until about 90% then it will turn green all the way up to 100% and itll stay green as long as its plugged in

wait until your phone is fully charged, and download the Battery Calibration app from the market. while the phone is still plugged into the charger, run the app and it will wipe your battery stats and give you a more accurate reading. recommended every time you flash a new rom

if this happens on ur new battery , the then below reply is from my experience which i posted to another thread...
----
Dont worry . this happens to me also.. im too bought a battery of 600rs from ebay and battery stays 1 % for a day...
For an investigation i checked the battery voltage (at 100% charge voltage will be 4.2) when it drops to 1%, its nearly 3.9 and phone will keep working till voltage reduces to 3.5... im getting 2 days minimum backup of moderate use...
now to explain why 1% , this is an answer i gt from FB group .. "dnt expect Original battery at 600rs wen its actually cost 1200rs, they are actually replica of real and the so battery circuit send false info to phone, and phone calculates percentage remaining on this "
i tried to switch some cm7 version but in all battery drop at 1% happens.... so i ignored it and my defy still rocks in daily usage after 3 years ...

[Q] Unusual Charging and battery useage

Hi XDA,
My nexus 4 has been having troubles charging and I was hoping that somebody could help pinpoint the problem. I'm running CM11 M12 but the issue was also present with PA 4+ (multiple versions) the issue is also persistant with different chargers. When I charge the phone it switches quite fast between charging and discharging ( 2-3 times a second) and sometimes says it's charging but doesnt charge above a certain point. I've attched a screenshot of the battery screen if that helps.
Tldr - whats wrong with my nexus battery/charging?
Cheers peeps
I am not quite sure if its the same but I had similar problem with my Kindly Fire (1st gen). The battery would suddenly go from 80% to 50% and 100% to <50%. Recalibrate your battery will help lessen the sudden jumps but it most like mean your battery is bad u might need to replace it

Cheers,
I thoght that might be the case, but wasnt sure if it was the charging circut (if thats a thing)
