rom update fales!! Help!! dead as a rock!!

I just tride the romupdate DopodD800W on my MDA compact 111 T-Mobile en my little frend is dead as a rock!! no responce with activesync what so ever. It freezes at start. Please help me!!!

Put in bootloader and run the official T mOb update..it will b alive

how do I put it in bootloader?

Do a search on this forum!

I did and found it but still no connection what so ever so I can not install a new ROM.

There are a lot similar messages in the forums at this site, all from people with bricked phones and waiting for a solution that is not here (yet). The easiest and quickest way to have your phone up and running again is to send it to either you provider or imei-check. But this will cost time and money. In the meantime, there are a lot of tips and tricks (not allways working though) in the various threads, you might give that a chance. What is the risk? I would say, there is not any, since your phone is allready dead and the warranty went out the window the moment you tried to flash another ROM.

I took the risk and went to the store and told them that my phone was dead after installing a program, they looked at it and just send it for repair, so far so good. hope it will come back alive. From now on no more risks!! thanks for your tips people!! Let you know when phone is back and fixed...

Hi all How are you?
Iam a new to this form and i wanted someone to assist me with my sony ericsson X1 it just keeps on restarting while iam doing something i even hav the software updated and everything can it be a battery problem. I know this has been ask but i did almost everything mentioned on the site even menage to encrype it to T-Mobile and had to send it to a sony ericsson repair center?

I would re-install the Rom. Backup first. I use SPB Backup.

[Q] Unlock o2 HD Mini

Hi all ,
Is it easy to unlock an O2 UK branded HD Mini to sim free status ?
If so , how do I go about doing it ?
The last time I had to unlock a phone , it was with a couple of Nokias , and easy enough .

As for as I am aware you'll need to get an unlock code from a shop or an internet site by giving your IMEI number

Gone are the good old days of having a little .exe program saved on my pc for unlocking phones !!
Have you any recomendations for a reliable website ?
How much do they charge these days ?
Will flashing with a generic ROM get rid of the sim lock / restriction ?

Just a little update ,
I didn't need to get the phone unlocked .
I just popped my sim card in and it worked with no problems
Is there any way to remove the o2 branding from the phone ?
What about ROM updates ?
There is a new rom listed on the HTC site , but when I enter my serial number/IMEI it tells me my device does not qualify .
I assume it's because my phone has an o2 Rom installed on it .
Can this be replaced with a stock HTC Rom ?

This morning I installed my firts custom rom for my X8 -[ROM] X8 | Sense | 2.1 | 2.2 | 2.3 | xRecovery [WiP]
Hackdroid 2.2.1
I was then asked for a SIM Network Unlock PIN.
Are there any working roms for the X8 that are already unlocked to different carriers?

Sim Network Unlock Pin has nothing to do with the roms.. You need to unlock your phone, so this warning could disappear..
Correct me if I'm wrong.. xD

You can't unlock your phone by installing ROMs,network lock is in bootloader,and it isn't cracked yet.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. My phone works fine with se version 2.1 after installing this rom it asks for the network code. so, I reinstalled from my backup and my phone works again. If I understand what you have written, my phone wouldn't work even with the original android.

You gave me the idea of trying again. Second time I installed the rom, i pressed cancelled it and the call functions worked.
On a more trivial note - angry birds won't install.

i got a SE on 2.1, sim locked to vodaphone, how can i remove the lock/.. i need help ..

sorry.... you can´t for now for free, only paid sites can provide you that code based on your IMEI i think... or wait while someone crack the bootloader (i dont think its gonna be soon )

just a quicky....i just solved the problem, by switching of the device, took out the battery, the sim card...waited for about 10 secs.....put the sim back in, the batteri and started up the device....e voila....no Sim Network Unlock Pin question anymore...hope it helps!!!

There is no need to take out battery and wait and all that ****, press the dismiss button.

I have the same problem (twice in fact). But both times started when I flashed a new kernel. My X8 is a E15a, and the kernels here are for E15i.
As corsav6 mentioned, no big deal for me. Just hitting Dismiss and everything gets OK. I had no problem with network or wifi.
Don't know if you are using stock kernel, but for me it happened only after flashing a new one. You could try to revert yours...

Help , Sony Xperia E4G (2006 ) not turn on, soft brick

Good evening, friends of mine , you know have a problem , my Sony Xperia E4G ( 2006), which had recently acquired crashed , I know, it is my fault .
I unlock the bootloader using Sony's official website, it was successful, then it using "Flashtool" I wanted to install the "CMW Recovery" from a command window (CMD), connecting in FlashBoot mode.
Something went wrong, because after that my phone did not pass the initial logo of Sony, you know that something is wrong, I'm not very experienced and know maybe I should not do it if I was not very knowledgeable, but also learn and I really can change firmware to other phones like the HTC Desire and the Sony Xperia 626s Z3 Compact.
I Download a rom by XperiFirm: "xxxxxxx-xxx.12x431x.ftf" and try to flash the phone but hangs.
And worst of all, had already tried Flashtool a newer version and flash did not help me. I hope you can help me and we can save this phone does not have much time being purchased.
PSD: I do not speak much English, I hope you can understand me and have not committed serious offenses writing.
