Stupid question - in 'known issues' it says:
Microphone during phone calls doesn't work
What does that mean? You can call people but you can only talk on speakerphone? or do you mean the secondary microphone?

s-pen is a core touchwiz framework app, and touchwiz apps cant be ported to cm9 framework , so we would need to use alternate s-pen related apps
In the next release, will we need to Full wipe everytime even if we still are on CM9 ?

Because it's a proprietary app with proprietary resources which are not available (closed-source)
Same thing with ICS kernels, we could not do anything about them unless Samsung releases their sources or get an open source kernel, which can't be done for S-memo app

We depend on a specific branch on one of the CM repos, so we have to wait until this becomes the main branch. Sure we'll do other experimental builds when we fix stuff, and move on to nightlies once everything is good.
INSANE!! I cant wait to get my oppo and install CM!! you guys rox!!
wow tks a lot.... i attempt for daily use rom... but i am very happy
tks again
The hwaccel screen rotation bug also affects MX Player.
It's most obvious is you start MX Player playback from Skifta when Skifta is in portrait mode. If you are in landscape when you start the video, it's OK.
There's still a decent amount of cleanup to do, but I believe we're ready to get our repos merged to CM mainline, although as plodey mentioned, starting nightlies will require waiting for one of CM's repos to get reworked. (It's the same reason I personally don't think Sony Xperia T/V/TX/Z/ZL nightlies should not have been started yet for CM10.1 - they're all broken due to the fact that audio-caf is still the old code.)
HDMI output is also broken - it's currently broken on all Qualcomms in CM10.1 that use display-caf. I plan on taking a look at this over the weekend.

I've never seen an error like that.
did you forget the get-prebuilds phase of the build instructions?
Could be just some transient build breakage, may just get fixed by syncing.
Tried the above but still..
What does this mean?
Trying dependencies-only mode on a non-existing device tree?
Looks amazing, I'll hop on it when everything is working
Expect a donation on that day

Your missing file error really is a problem syncing frameworks_base repository.
As for the error, I have it too, but it's not important (ie. it doesn't break build).
Hmm. Compiling for Nexus 10 works and its the same source

I've just installed the ROM and it works great, though the first video I tried to play made my Oppo hang. Where (and how) can I dump logs?
I'll use it the next couple of days and report problems, if it helps?

We don't need reports for issues that are already under Known issues, as they are issues we can perfectly reproduce. However, if you find something not listed, sure, feel free to report with logs
The video problem for example is already listed, it's due to screen rotation.
There are multiple logcat apps on the Play Store I guess.

I didn't rotate the screen while playing. I had the screen in landscape position, then pressed play on a video (in 'ribbon'-mode). I accessed the gallery from the camera-app(in camera mode). It was a video shot with the stock-app last week. The screen immediately went to static and the phone froze. I had to hard-power-off.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

OK, I understand now. How is the battery-drain on CM11? This is one of the most negativ sides on all CM-ROMs I used on my devices for the last years, starting with CM7.2 on my Hannspad.

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps. Anyway to get a working system we ported some changes from Cyanogenmod/LineageOS and CodeAurora repos.
Please do not ask for features to be added because we're not going to add more to keep this ROM small, fast and pure.
But Exceptions are always there..

Well, that's nonsense. I'm not an user of Lucky Patcher but I can see it can be used not for ilegal purposes only. If you say so, you should also disallow users to make a root. From one side you say you won't support Lucky Patcher, but on the other you encourge users even in first post to "use Magisk to get root privileges and bypass SafetyNet.".
That is absolutetly hypocrisy!
And one more thing. If you choose apps which will be not available to use on this rom then you are definetly not allowed to call it an AOSP rom as it is not stock at all but "stock with your ethical additives".
That's my voice in the discussion.

There is a big difference between too and lucky patcher . Why are you even getting so hyper if you don't use lucky patcher ? Keep calm , this is a community and we believe in peace and harmony. Being a dictator isn't gonna do any good to no one and if you don't even use any piracy app , then stop being so offended. Be a good peep and just keep patience and calm. No one is here to bash on no one. If you don't like the rom , just hope to another one. Do think , that the dev themselves work for you for free and just want nothing in return , just some thanks and appreciation for their hard work and the time they put on working for a rom.
