Hi everyone,
In the French Atrix community we have a Google Spreadsheet to stay informed about the various ROMs available. I thought it might be a good idea to share it world-widely
Link : this online file
Rules : open to anyone with the link, read/write
Explanations :
- First sheet is changelog and some explanations for the ROM list (please keep it up-to-date, especially when you delete something)
- Second sheet is the ROM list itself, with links, versions, technical details, and comments (currently in French, but this can change)
Questions : Do you think it would be helpful ? Do you already have such a tool ? Are you willing to involve in this ? Do you have better ideas ?
PS : I'm not the owner of the file on Google Drive, but I asked him and he's okay with sharing it with you
Merci ! =)
Edit : Wow ! It's full of useful infos about the ROMs... Even the bench scores, great idea, tell me if you need some help to fill it ! =)
Nobody interested ? I see many many views on this thread, but no reaction of non-French people... What's the problem ? Thanks for your reactions
Ben euh, c'est moi ou le fichier a été vidé ?
It seems rather empty. What happened ?
For me the file is fully available, and I tried the URL while not being logged in me Google account. That's weird... :s
Click on ROMs to the bottom left corner.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
you forgot Epsilon project v5...
The file is pub
Sent from my MB860 using XDA
Some people broke it, do you have a backup ? You should make it private.
yea, i dont see any roms there =(
Sorry for my previous post, my Atrix's touchscreen is dying...
I was saying : the file is public and everybody can read/write, and I am not its owner (so please don't ask me to keep it up-to-date). This file is a community tool, it is FOR us all and BY us all, so :
Feel free to add/update/remove ROMs, versions, benchmark results, or comments
If some people delete some useful information (purposely or not), feel free to restore previous versions of the entire file (yeah, Google Docs can do that)
some people have messed with your xda links
the cm7 goes to an samsung epic thread and cm7 ics mod is a pornlink
Thank you
Someone ruined it, who did this deleted all the pages and made 200 blank ones... I think it's time we came up with something different...
Something different would be less opened and would require someone to be in charge of it. If anyone got an idea to get this tool more secure but not relying on a couple of administrators, feel free to suggest it
Today some major changes on the file :
- ROMs are now splitted in 2 sheets (Gingerbread ROMs, ICS ROMs)
- A new sheet explains the different installers (Aroma, Kitchen Sink, etc.). Thanks to Slymayer
merci beaucoup
Nice list with useful info.

The wiki has been up for quite some time. Wish the forum specific mods kept the link in the sticky

I didn't know XDA Wiki , thanks for re-sharing it. It's a good tool, but not everyone is a XDA member... Our Google Spreadsheet was born and feeded from an other Android community, and we want to keep it that way...
Glad to see the google doc is still being updated as of 10/26/2012. That's the problem with storing information like this in a thread, nobody would even realize this doc exists. Someone should link it on the wiki

I've gotten an XS4ALL account. I needed it for a number of reasons, but combined with my Cuba account, it will make sure something like the downtime experienced over the pask few days doesn't happen again.
To download the Special Edition ROM in self-extracting-exe form:

or

You have been always a great asset to this forum
Thanks again
Othman
The links are broken now. Can anyone send me the files to me?
thanks!
Hi Chiu
Not sure if you are aware that the earth has rotated many times over since the SER ver 1.1 was released. We are blessed with an excellent group of xda developers who take us to the bleeding edge of technology on almost a daily basis. You could look into the rom section of the forum to know that the latest thing is custom made roms which is much mightier than than the ver 1.1 and easily downloadable thus why the links to ver 1.1 are broken I suspect.
If you still want the 1.1 for other reasons, I may still have one lying somewhere in the hard disc. I definitely has the SER ver 1.2 as well. Let me know.

Good news !!! Thx
Is there really no one who cares about the Wiki
You do a great job! I just miss a link to the cube customization thread. beside of that i have no idea to improve it.
how about a decent explanation of the different types of spl and what they would be used for, also a list of any settings you would net to take a note of before flashing a new rom, eg server settings for mms,
Dear all,
as I wrote on this other post (excuse me for crossposting - please mods to close the wrong-placed one):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=384850
there are two guys that recompiled Android for ARMv4 processor - like ARM920T, the trinity processor!!
Here you have the links:
http://benno.id.au/blog/
http://perpetual-notion.blogspot.com/2008/10/android-freerunnder-updates.html
They are working on the Freerunner and Neo1973 devices.. but the processor is the same..
Anyone out there wants Android on our beloved trinity?
At the moment I have no spare time (and skills) to take the challenge.. but I hope that someone will do.
I think that with the source code the CLZ and Thumb mode issues are completely addressed.
Anyone could confirm this to me?
Best regards,
s
Hi,
i'm also interested to see android on my htc hermes. i'm waiting benos new blog entries to see if he was able to run the code on "Neo1973".
What is the diference between htc hermes and htc dream (g1) regarding other chips beside the prcessor?
i don't think that drivers included in android can cover all chips in hermes. can someone maybe make an list of same and different devices(chips) in this 2 devices?
thanks
G phone?
So this is the same OS that the G phone is sporting yeah?
If The flashing process isn't harder than the current process then I'd be up for this. Also will it brick the phone?
Need some people to test.
Great Topic!

I'm waiting for a Android ROM for my Trinity ^_^
This is what we can try. The openmoke images are out. Since the openmoke is very like the p3600 we could give these images a try. The images are located over here.

We dont loss any wm rom that we have installed ?
Dear all,
here you have some (bad) news:

at the link above you will find a thread I started in adroid-porting developers group.

at this link there are other infos, but let me report two msgs:
shaice:
Dear all,
sorry to bother you with (probably) silly questions but..
I own a HTC trinity that use the same ARM920T processor of Freerunner.
I saw benno's and christopher's posts on their blogs...
Is there any chance that your binaries will run on other ARM920T
phones?
Thank you in advance for any answer.
Best regards,
s
Christopher Friedt:
Hi Shaice,
In short, no (for now...)
Chris
sigh sob!
Now I'm searching for some fresh news.
Stay tuned!
s
uhmm reading somewhere in the group I found this post:
Jean-Baptiste Queru

The shipping G1s have 192MB. Earlier development devices had 128MB,
and that wasn't quite enough to smoothly run the applications that
ship with the G1. Even if all the device's RAM could be allocated to
Android (no baseband, no framebuffer) 64MB would probably be very
tight, to the point where even foreground applications would risk
getting killed because of low memory conditions (the browser
especially comes to mind). In 32MB the system is likely to be
thrashing for memory even before it's done starting the system server
(if it can even start it at all).

Mmmmh no good news for us.. :-/

....but forget about running exactly these images on your trinity units.
It won't work
I don't want to digg your hope but there's a lot to do to make it real.
First:
You'll need a kernel that suits to trinity and offer some features the android OS needs.
Second:
You'll have to modify the image in jffs2 format to get loaded on trinity or build up a tricky environment to mount these image files after booting the kernel.
Have fun!
scholbert
Android on Trinity wanted!!
now that the full Android code is out it's possible!!
we can have Android on Trinity!!
please help... I cannot stand anymore WM!!
IMHO there is no enough memory to run smoothly android on trinity...
but stay tuned..
s
Dear all,
there is no hope for trinity users like us to see android running on our wonderful device.
As stated here:
http://groups.google.com/group/android-internals/browse_thread/thread/788c201e75ca7351
Android don't run on the ARM920T used in Neo1973.
In the following site
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture#ARM_cores there is a table
where are described all the ARM cpu.
Android framework is compiled for the ARMv5 architecture version, so run on
the all the processors that belong to this architecture version and also in
some cpu of the new architecture (ARMv6/v7).

It's probably best to have folks post link to other resources for the moment so as to allow NRG to collect, review, and organize them in some order. That said, I agree that we shouldn't allow the thread to grow to a point that it contains too many pages.

Inserted some extra posts for you, let me know if you need any more.
Cheers,
I wish I could have found this a few months ago ....
Anyways, here are my two cents on this:
This is a fantastic idea since information is scattered throughout the site when it comes to cooking instructions. There is no single guide on how to do this and most people have different takes on how to do certain things. Having a centralized cooking resource (sub-forum) is by far the best idea I have seen in xda in the last couple of years.
Now, there is one other thing. I know that most of the information posted is for newer devices (meaning any device whose rom extension is nbh. I personally have a Blue Angel, which has roms with extension nbf. Cooking for these devices is a completely different story since porting is different as well. I will add a few links that I found along the way for cooking nbf roms, but if any of you have any good guides about this, please share them
All in all, NRG, you have outdone yourself once again!
Congrats and let me know if I can be of any help!
Dotcompt's EXT collection
Hi guys
Regarding Dotcompt's EXT collection kindly posted by NRGZ28 in the first post:
I have extended these Leaked exts to other devices resolution like HVGA or QVGA instead of WVGA only.
So for a start, I added the HVGA - Photon EXT EastEurope_1.06.479.2_Manila_Core_2_5_20131825_0, and you can find it in the original thread.
I also asked Daveshaw to move this thread from Rhodium sub-forum to the Windows Mobile Development and Hacking > Windows Mobile Software Development forum.
Thanks
Great!!
But can you point me on QVGA version one? i cant find any QVGA in you thread.
Thanks.

Here's a link to the Extendir thread. Even if you don't want to use (I don't use it myself), it's very good reading, and has a lot of great info. The thread itself should probably be moved over to this forum. It might cut down on the noobs who periodically poke their heads in and ask for a .cab.
Hey guys,
Great work going on here, let me know if i can be of some help here, collating, moving and deleting etc.
Cheers and keep it up
Tim.
Hello Xda Users.
I am releasing a Windows Mobile ROM.
The device I've worked on is the Toshiba Portege G910
(probably many of you will remember my numerous questions in this forum. )
and..... Finally, after "years of study" I'm doing it.
The ROM si ready on my PC, but I still need an original (stock) ROM for this device, otherwise the new Rom won't work properly and I couldn't add very important apps to it (as for example the camera...)
A long time ago I found Stock Roms on the Toshiba website.
But now the link is not avaible anymore.
Please, can anyone upload for me (on any website) an original/stock ROM for this device?
P.S.
I also remeber that, a lot of stock ROMs for the G910, were stored in the forum section of "www.4pda.ru" but this website is in russian language and it's totaly understandable for me, even if I try to translate it.
Please, can any russian man simply search the stock ROM for me?
If you help me I will include you and your profile/website in the credits of this project
(Soon the Rom will be avaible here and on my website)
It seems to me that the official firmware isn't in the "4pda" forum, I found 2 links in another website (it's always russian...)
But the file has been removed by the File-Hosting service,
so...
my last hope is that some "ex-Toshiba-G910" owner stored it in his old Hard-Drive or PC... (please help)
For Toshiba :
I understand that so many years have passed, this phone is totally discontinued and of course you don't offer new support... But, why on earth do you eliminate even the old support already provided ?!?!
Update:
After spending hours for search it, Finally I found a working link to download this Stock Rom (required to make an updated one)
http://www.vitorrentz.cc/torrent/5705e027e0023749a584323e5061bca63bcb5fcb
I started the download but the speed is about 0.0 kbs/sec...
Why? Users, Could you just try if it works?
Maybe the download will work outside my country ...
How about this?
Removed - It was malicious, sorry

Hello Redorded! I have just seen the message!
I really Thank you for the !
Does your link was a Torrent or a File/sharing Download?
Anyway it's very hard to find this Stock rom but not impossible.
In fact I found 2 guys that have it but I can't see their e-mails because I can not use a site in russian!
Maybe... Do you speak russian??
Do Anyone have an account on "4pda" or on "unlockers.ru" ??
