Hi I saw nowadays new threads about how did you bought your x8 and other stuff
So now lets see who is still using good ol' Eclair(2.1) and who upgraded to froyo(2.2), gingerbread(2.3) or(why not) ice cream sandwich(4.0)
You ought to add "Donut" as well
Now lets be serious who is using donut these days?

Hi guys!
I just got a request from Chiefy asking me to Backport ArcKnight Kernel to GB, and so it could also provide support to those of you who don't want to Upgrade to ICS yet.
So here I am asking the community if you think it is worth it to backport the Kernel and if also you're are willing to support my work at the moment my main computer got broke and I'm stocked with a pentium 4 3Ghz CPU with 1GB of RAM. But when I run Ubuntu through VMware player I can only use 512MBs of Ram and it's a pain ** ** *** to compile like that and it will be really difficult for me to maintain two kernels with so low specs computer.
Would you like me to backport it?

I think, its better than you focus in ICS. GB have a good doomkernel. ICS dont.

Hello friend!
First, congratulations for the beautiful work.
Use your kernel with rom ICS and am very pleased.
In my opinion I think it would be very interesting to port the ArcKnigth Gingerbread. Mainly because I still prefer, and I believe there are still many like me, Gingerbread roms to be faster and more functional.
Au support!
Thank you!

Thanks for the support

Lets start
Mine was MiniCM6
Mine was a vesion of CM7 Hackdroid by racht. I had no idea what I was doing...I just wanted the CRT animation...
As flash-a-rom-freak, i had a lot of "first roms" but i know who amazing the early versions of rachts froyo were, because everyday was a update or news
Miss old times...

As i remember it was the very early stages of racht's famous "floyo" it was fun back then updated nearly everyday and you was waiting for the updates. Now we have fully working 2.2 and 2.3 and nearly fully working 4.0 and im kinda "not waiting" for more updates because i have everything i want from it. I know i bought a cheap low end phone and i think everything is done what should be done.

I'm pretty much new in the Android world. My LG Optimus x2 came with froyo2. 2 and to be honest I was not impressed. But I knew that ics was out there already. So first rom I upgraded was gingerbread and then cm7. But I think my first nightly rom was nova hd based on ics and start flashing almost every day. Til now keep flashing kangs, my LG o2x has been much fun, fast and always up to date.

Hi guyz .I saw a few threads talking about creating your own rom. I decided to try this, so far so good. But I need support and help from senior members and developers. I want the Rom to be very stable and good for everyday use.
I know I am just a junior member but please support me and if you are interested please contact me (Xperia Gamer) . Thank you
Disclaimer: (lol) this thread is for interested developers and senior members.

I actually wanted to make it Ics but games would be laggy so it should be a GB based rom. But I want it to have the ics feel and look.

No it isn't, it cannot be rooted via zergrush, psneuter e.t.c.
It can only be rooted via custom kernel but if you add su binaries and switch back to stock kernel you will have root.
