I have installed CM7.2 on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro which is working fine. Now I am searching for an ICS ROM for my Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro. I got few in this forum, however when I install them my phone, it is restarting continuously. I think thats something to do with Kernel or baseband.
Kindly help me in installing ICS ROM (CM9 or any other) on my phone. Provide me with following information.
Requirements for installing ICS ROM (Kernel, Baseband etc.)

I have a Xperia Play DoomKernel with V2 and I wish to switch to CyanogenMod or Zerorom v0.4? how I should proceed?
I have to remove the DoomKernel or I can do the update like this?
In the CyanogenMod thread, it says you need to flash the kernel provided with the ROM.
Can you help me understand because I do not understand English, I'm french, and I already bricker once so I fear my Xperia Now
If I understand I must return the official rom and put the kernel CyanogenMod, then flash with CyanogenMod?
I have already seen that the doomkernel, I can put the stock rom like that, or we must do something before?
Flashing the original ROM with Flashtool overwrites the Doomkernel, so that's the correct sequence.
Has everything gone ok with the flashing?

I am trying to help my friend as he is so frustrated of his old & obsoleted Sony Ericsson w8
I tried many custom rom to have a new look and better performance but what we end up with are bug,lags etc
So want to ask are there any mods mde to run on W8 with stock 2.1 rom?
Themes which can make w8 look like 2011 xperias or something like that?
Here is an Xperia 2011 theme for stock ROM. You just need to install it with xRecovery.

Use search... There is xperia s launcher, xperia s theme, xperia s locksecreen... And use those with MiniCm7 2.2.1 NO BUGS with this rom...

Install Sony PCC (For driver, if not installed Your phone may not recognized by eroot)
Go to settings > Security > Mark "Unknown sources"
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Connect phone and start eroot, first phone detects by it and then Click Root.
If any downloading starts, cancel it.

Hi,
Newbie here... Well-Experienced Developers / Members Already Trained on this device help needed.....
The phone already have latest stock firmware version 25.0.B.2.31. I don't think we can backup stock ROM. Hence, got it using XperiFirm.
General Q: Do we need to root the phone to install custom ROM?
Just want to get good bloat-free and malware free Nougat Custom ROM and help install it for Sony XPERIA E4g Dual E2043 "INDIA" ASAP.
Help in getting Good Bloatware+Malware Free Clean Custom ROM Nougat.
