I made this simple app for the people who are new to android phones (and adb). It has the options to turn the device off, reboot normally, reboot in recovery mode, reboot in download mode and reboot in bootloader.
It's really the most simple app you will ever use, only having 5 options can't go wrong!
The absolute beginner will love it

if i had that tool when i was new to xda, it would have been much easier for me to enter the different modes of the phone

Hello!
I'm creating a ROM Updater for fun and to learn something about Android developing. So far I did the following:
- ROM mod and version detection
- JSON-based ROM repositories with full and incremental updates (automatically selectable if there is the proper update from version to version), changelog etc.
- optional extra files to download when you select the file you want to download the mod version
- download of the files with a progress bar
- all in professional-looking ListViews

NOW... I need to know how can I set the recovery in order to automatically execute backups / zip flashes when you reboot in recovery mode. How can I do that? And how can I reboot the system in recovery mode?
------------------
Thanks
Some images so far btw

You should download:
- Android SDK (Platform Tools) Download here. And follow the preparation environment.
- Nexus 4 Factory image. Download here.
What to do:
- Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Enable "USB debugging". (If you don't have "Developer options", go to About phone, click "Build number" 7x as fast as you can.
- Unzip the factory images, you'll find "flash-all.bat" and "flash-all.sh". With your command prompt (using Windows), go to the directory.
- Here's the list of commands:
- adb reboot bootloader Wait until you rebooted to fasboot mode.
- flash-all Just wait, your phone will be rebooted by itself perhaps 3-5 times.
- Enjoy your N4 with Android 4.2.2

HI Guys. I know many of you would have been wondering where to find the USB Connectivity option or PC menu to change the preferences in the CyanogenMod9 ROMs.
It is much more easier in the stock roms as 1,2,3.
Go to Settings->Connectivity->USB Storage.
This is also so easy,
1. Go Phone Settings,
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Storage,
3. Press MENU-> USB Computer Connection.
Voila! You are there.
Now Check the option which you want, but of course the Mass Storage option will be greyed out.
But If you want to fix that through MOD go to ->

Long story short, I'm currently using RR on my phone. But then I go ahead and encrypted it.
Everytime I tried to go to recovery, TWRP kept flashing and does not run at all.
So I thought I could re flash TWRP again, I goes to fastboot/bootloader mode:

}
How can I find fastboot driver for Windows 10, I try to install all but nothing works.
Thanks,
(e~what do you want to do)
Try this: download ADB, and create a new file named "adb_usb.ini" under C:\Users\(your PC user name)\.android. And copy 0x18D1(it's your phone vid) to this file
Reboot to fastboot then connect to PC
Thanks Liuxu, I figured out the problem. In the creator update, I need to download the samsung ADB driver and change android 1.0 to ADB interface, otherwise it does not work.
