So which of these ROM upgrades are for the A7+ ?
Using the wrong one can brick your device.
The Elocity website makes a strict distinction between the A7 and the A7+. The video format is different on the A7+ than on the A7. In one week I will have an A7+ and will want to upgrade it if possible.

If you go to http://dext3r.komodin.org/ there is a section with a couple of ROM's that have been modified to work the with A7+. Keep in mind though that these ROMs were originally developed for the A7 and I think they are missing the volume + and - buttons in the top bar (because the A7 had buttons to the right of the screen for this).

Hi everyone,
I just flashed the ChuckyRom along with Radio v.2.12. I've also been using Android on my HD2 (MUCH thanks to all the talented devs on-board the project) and wondered why I didn't get a phone with Android OS from the getgo. That thought led me to the following super-newbie questions:
1) What's the current status on flashable Android-based rom development? I've been flashing so many WinMo-based roms. Is there an Android-based one, so I can have it as the standard OS on my phone?
(I've heard from quite a few people that I can have Android boot up automatically from start-up using a few tweaks. However, this would still involve booting up from SD card as opposed to having it flashed permanently on my phone.)
2) What seems to be the biggest hurdle to overcome in getting Android OS flashed on an HD2?
Thanks in advance for all of your inputs.
Best,
John
1. It is not a priority, but Cotulla (remember that name) is believed to be working on it, rumour has it it's going to be released even this month. Not seen this confirmed by an official source though, so don't expect it.
2. Not too experienced myself, but from what I've heard it's about decrypting, or making Android compatible with, this filesystem called NAND. A flash-able ROM could probably have been here already, but the devs wanted to focus on delivering quality & bugfree ROMs first, and bonuses such as NAND later on.
Hello folks,
Soon I will purchase an Elocity A7 (after I receive my tax refund).
I was wondering if there will be work on creating dual booting feature for this unit to allow me to create a custom rom based on Gingerbread or Honeycomb whichever is available at the time.
I would like the AOSP Gingerbread or Honeycomb to boot from the sdcard instead of internal storage. That gives me more freedom to update the kernel (via grabbing updates thru WiFi from a local network hosted webserver) with the minor modifications to boost the stability/squash bugs and other things before I can release it to the public for pleasure of using it in everyday use.
----- Edit
Because I can't post yet any links, I'm giving you the forum thread name here that is found on these forums: "[ADV] Boot menu for the Nook Color [2011-02-21]"

OK I got the A7 tablet yesterday and installed the dexter mod 1.3 and I'm having fun with the device. Now I just have to prepare a linux environment to compile the kernel and the modules.
Also have to look in offering dual booting.

Unfortunately I won't be able to compile ICS or JB because my computer is very old and doesn't support 64 bit environment required by the building process be that in Linux or Windows. However I can build the kernel with the 32 bit compilers/tools with no issue, but the ICS or JB doesn't like the 32 bit compilers/tools.
I'm still plagued by OOM freezes and a strange Google Play Services install error that prevents me from installing the latest version of Youtube.
Sorry for letting you down.

Simply upgrading your tablet is not anywhere near as easy as you think it is. You need to flash a custom ROM, changing your tablets firmware. Currently, we do have a couple of ROMs available but each of them has something not working correctly. Also, please note that there are two elocity tablets. One is the A7, and one is the A7+. If you try to flash a ROM intended for the A7 onto the A7+, you will brick your tablet, rendering it completely useless. In other words, i would reccomend reading around these forums and searching for details about ROMs. If you still want Homeycomb after reading up on the facts, then there is a post here by Dexter that will give you a verry buggy version of Honeycomb. Jam4 over at Tablet Roms is actually working on stabilizing a HC ROM right now for the A7+, andd if you want to wait a little you could get that ROM.
HI! I need your help. My samsung s5 clone doesn't open anymore. When i tried to open it, it'll just stay on black screen but when i press the power button it'll vibrate. Please help me. I think restoring will fix this but i don't know how.
MT6572
SM-G9008
Quad-core (but i'm not sure if it's true)
2Gig ram(i'm not sure with this too.)
Manufacturers of clone devices almost never release their factory ROM's, or even their kernel source which breaks the GN GPLv2 license. Therefore you won't be able to find the stock ROM for your phone.
In addition to that we don't usually support cloned devices on XDA in terms of custom ROM's because the developers of custom ROM's buy the real phones, not clones.

Hey guys,
So I found my Lenovo Ideapad K1 wifi model in some drawer. I gave this to my sister before she got a smartphone. She took it with her to my country. Suffice to say the back cover is kind of loose, the volume down button is gone and I am surprised the screen even works. So after making sure all works I did a factory reset on it and then it hit me, it is still one 3.2 Honeycomb. I am hering that google will cut support to older androids (i.e. anything bellow 4.0). So since the tablet is working fine I want to re-purpose it! I found a kit-kat rom based on CM10 which is more than enough to give it more like, my only problem is without the functioning volume down button how do I boot into recovery to even root it?
Is it rooted ?
There are many apps available in the store which will reboot the system into recovery mode. One such is the ROM manager.
Where did you manage to get the Kitkat ROM for K1?
Can you please share the details?
