Is it really the ICS update?
I cant wait to finish the download.

I guess I can wait 2 more days. But I'm pretty excited about it.
Not sure how to take screenshots on it, but here...

It appears that the Gen2 is not getting the update yet.
My A500 is
Android version: 3.2.1 (stock)
Kernel Version: 2.6.36.3+
Build Number: Acer_A500_7.014.02_COM_GEN2
I'm in Johnson City TN. When I check for updates it says Your device is up to date.
Got this update...no face unlock, no new lwp, gallery looked better in HC. A bit of a lag when transitioning in between home screens.

I succesfuly upgrade a A500 to 4.0.3 today, but i found a problem in the screen... now when is not at 100% of brighthess, is seems like a flirk in all grey/black's colors (it's look very clear in al the background of control panel).
The "flirk" it's like what you see in CRT monitors when you not select correct refresh frecuency, or when you record with a videorecorder an old TV. That is the bad effect that i found in all system (games/video/gallery/etc).
Videos now are all HW decoded, and are completly smooth, all system are more smooth, but characters/font's are lees clear/sharpner because of GPU render.
OTA update just now in the Netherlands
Sorry, should have mentioned mine is Gen1

your image and build number are different from the latest leak version. There seems to be mix post of people saying the latest OTA is the same as the leak version that came out in March...
Can anyone confirm if the OTA is different from the Leak? thanks

Giggity! Just did the update manually via stock recovery. Got nervous for a minute because when it came back up, the baseband version was coming up as "unknown". WiFi worked but 4G didn't. Reboot fixed it, thankfully.
It looks like there's a new CDMA radio (5DP vs. 54P in HLK75F) in the update, but the LTE radio remains the same version (05.19.07) as HLK75F. There is no bootloader update either, which is a good thing. Once you start getting into new bootloader versions, flashing old firmware instantly becomes a nightmare as anyone with a Motorola smartphone can tell you.
I'm hoping this update means ICS is around the corner. This HLK75H update may be the one that comes out as the "launchpad" for ICS...sort-of like what Google did with the Nexus One. Like a week or two before they upgraded it to Gingerbread, they released a Froyo update 2.2.2 which didn't really fix anything that anyone could figure out. It seems like it was just there to be the upgrade path to Gingerbread.
I hope that's what's going on here. Either way, I'm sure we can say that 3.2.6 is the final release of Honeycomb.

I am not sure as i have not been not rooted for along time but i am thinking if you copy it to your sdcard and reboot into recovery you can apply it through there. At least this option works on my bionic anyway.
To get into recovery you must turn power off then power it on again. Once the red motorola logo comes up count 1 2 3 and then hit the down volume button until it says android recovery then hit the up volume button to select it.

I wouldn't count on it but would hope that ICS is around the corner for us. As for the final release of Honeycomb i would hope so too but who knows what these people at Motorola think. I would like to see an ASOP ICS but i bet moto puts their hands on it before we get it and adds their 2 cents.
Not on the US Xoom. They can't. The updates come from Google. Moto just pushes them. The US Xoom is a Google Experience Device. ICS will be plain vanilla just like Honeycomb is.

No, I flashed stock Rom prior to this upgrade. Stock Rom, kernel, recovery and no root.

My biggest problem with my tab was the touch screen. This update has solved that problem entirely, the response is very good now. Now i just need root so I can use Titanium to debloat.

Thanks for pointing this out, just downloading it now.

No, sorry. Samsung doesn't know what a changelog is.
Just installed it but can't see any changes (even though it seemed a large update)
Must just be bug fixes.
Thought for a few moments it might be Jelly Bean but no such luck
Wish this forum was as busy as the S3 then maybe someone would know.
just did a fresh install, i wonder if this fixes the battery drain issue that everyone complained about?
also they released the source for this version too, so i bet they're done with development

Just tried it out this evening and can't see any difference. With wifi set to disconnect whilst sleeping, the battery drains fast still - more than twice as fast as during the day before I upgraded, when I had wifi on all the time.

So whats the word on this rom?
I downloaded and installed the stock 4.0.4 ICS from Samsung. Had to use Kies to get it. Got no notification even though I had my tab set to Auto Update, checked it manually and that is when I saw an update from Samsung for ICS. Attempted the download but it failed when I tried to install it, msg referred me to Kies which was successful.
I have not noticed any battery difference or WiFi issues others refer to. Once you install ICS you will see some changes....the Clock widget is different, the font has changed, and there are several changes to the Settings items.. Otherwise so far so good.

Can anyone tell me, what is the Kernel date for P6810ZSLP8? This one seemed to come out just about the same time as P6810XXLPL. I'm not sure which is the actual latest, or if there any differences between the two.

Just to let people know, Acer have come to the party and issued ICS version 4.0.3 on the A501 in New Zealand. It installed as a normal update this morning. Mother and child are both doing well!
Feels slightly snappier and of course things are not quite where they used to be but can usually be quickly found.
Now all I have to do is root it to get rid of the rubbish...er sorry Acer, I mean useful add-ons.
Trust this is not old news!

Awesome! Any chance of posting a few screenshots?
What version of Android were you running beforehand? I'm still on 3.0.1 and still haven't received the ICS OTA (currently System Update says 4.031.26 is available however I'd like to go straight from 3.0.1 to 4.0.3 if possible) although so far it seems like ICS has only been pushed out to a few people

Pretty sure I was running 3.02, suggest it doesn't matter what your previous version is/was. No significant screen differences and I don't think I could manage a screen shot anyway.
Looks like they have updated the GPS configuration file to set it up for parts of the world other than North America which is a great improvement for me.
Guess they will be progressively updating to ICS throughout the world so it will eventually work its way round to you wherever you are.

Hi,
Just to let you know that ICS (4.0.3) is available in Belgium too
Grrr ... I was hoping the update would arrive while I was still at home with a nice WiFi connection. Guess what? It's showing up tonight, just after I left for our holidays ... and there's only a measly Edge connection available here.
I even had to trick the A501 into downloading it by connecting it to "WiFi" ... my HTC HD2 ... and I even had to hack that one, the tablet wouldn't pick up the Windows Mobile 6.5's WiFi router signal, so I had to start Android from SD ... downloading the ICS update at 10K/s now.
Hopefully it'll be done by tomorrow morning, but there's no way I could have waited until the end of the holidays

I must say, This thing runs soooooooooooo much better. It also feels a bit more cohesive with my SG3. I think I'll keep it stock for a while. Also, I notice I can uninstall the bloat they included with it originally now. Not just hide, but remove Amazon, Kindle, etc. crud that I don't think I could before. Would be nice to add smart stay, Allshare Play, and face unlock eventually. I'm a little spoiled with some of the things on my SG3.

edit:cleared market data and it's available
If you are not seeing the update try hooking up to Kies
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA Premium HD app
Did anybody get an OTA update?
Is ICS coming OTA or via Kies? I live in Mass. and as of 11:30 a.m. on 8/13 my tab says there is no update available. I rather not have to bother with Kies, so I'll wait awhile longer.
^My update notification popped up as soon as I unlocked my Tab this morning.
I've been stuck on stock due to lots of ffc use, and thank Christ the keyboard lag is fixed. It's like a new tablet.
Any advantage to going from the UK version to the US version? I live in the US, but flashed the UK version a while back... is there even a difference?
Just my luck, android 4.0 for the tablet is released and suddenly kies stops working and won't recognize my tab, and i also get "No update available"
I plugged it into my computer and the update was available through Kies. Took about 30 minutes for the update to complete, and so far I am liking it.
I have the US GT-P7510 flashed with the ICS 4.0.4 UK version, is it possible to install the US ICS over the UK version using Odin, or do I have to rollback to HC 3.2 then flash this new ICS?
ok its official ICS IS HERE, i was using custom roms but then decide to go to stock i was using ROM HTJ85B.UEKMP i try to use the update from within the tablet but did not work as soon as i connected the tablet to kies bam updating and now its official ICS is here, after the update everything just ran by itself no need to clear nothing. pass the word around and if anyone has the ability to actual rip the whole rom off please do so cause i know for many kies does not work. it was a long wait but its here
I gave up on the OTA update as it has said no update available all morning. Currently connected to Kies and performing the upgrade. Crossing my fingers everything goes smoothly.
