Title says it all. Just got this awesome tab. It would be nice to have a section on xda for it.
I second this request
This would be Awesome. I have searched the web with little luck on any information from the community.
I agree it would be useful
Agree with those before me. Just picked mine up Sunday and would love to root it!
I'm hoping to see some custom roms on this thing it runs stock ics beautifully.
I'm a vote for this also. It looks like a solid device, and I'm hoping there will be some quality development on it.

Why don't we have our own place in the xda forum?
It's a totaly different phone we look the same as the i9000 but the hardware is not a like at all!!
That's right. Totally different.

I think it's a good idea. Combining the thread here is not very neat.
Existing threads are easily overlooked.

Next question are there any rules or specific things that are required to get a main section? for the i9001.
What wintel_mac say's it is now very cluttered
Yes, please, different section for us please. The community is starting to grow. I have made a thread regarding a problem with my i9001 and it got lost with the i9000 threads.

+1 this phone is unique and needs a home of its own.
if this phone had been called a Galaxy Brilliant it would of got its own place.
why did the galaxy W or Galaxy S2 get a place they are all Galaxy phones.
A Galaxy S isnt a Galaxy S Plus, Get it sorted!
Maybe due to lower popularity of the phone and activity? When i first heard about the + i was thinking they are not different at all xD.
Well, we got 3 stable roms, 1 ICS in progress, couple of kernels, recovery mode, root, deodexe, etc. I would say we got pretty much everything, so we deserve a new section.

I agreed. Although one mod has explain it, I still counldn't help but to say this,
even galaxy R gets their own thread and not us? If someone wants to say S+ is almost similiar as S, then take a look at galaxy R and S2. why don't combine R along with S2 since according to XDA "The Samsung Galaxy R is a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II that is less expensive". well?
our phone might be less developer but gives us time. it's not even a year yet. If after 2 years and our section is still poor then I understand if XDA decides not to gives us a section. But for what I see now, it is growing.
and this, maybe someone could convience mod to add our device to the list http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416406
+1 for i9001 section
Lol, our phone is not even in that list...this is not fair.

I am all for more development, but this feels like a slap in the face to the current developers who work hard to put out roms like CM10 or Redemption or Trainwreck and whatnot. If this guy wants a note, he can buy one. Lets donate to the developers who are already spending their time making the roms and tweaks for our device.

You're way off base. Scott spends allot of time developing now.
If people want development on another device, and the developer is willing with a donated device, then why not?
This is not a new idea.

Hello everyone! Today I am here to start a bounty thread to get Scott aka scrosler a Galaxy Note 10.1! For those who aren't familiar with Scott or his roms, he is the developer of 'CleanROM'. A fast, reliable rom based on stock that is constantly maintained by Scott himself! I personally run CleanROM on my Verizon Galaxy S3 and love it so much that CleanROM should also be on my new toy, the Galaxy Note 10.1!
NOTE: Scott will be receiving the N8013 variant of this tablet!
To get a sense of his development with other devices, head over to his official website: http://www.scottsroms.com/content.php
To donate, head over to Scott's Paypal in the link below and post the Unique Transaction ID AND how much you donated in the post so I can keep track at how much we raised.
ALL donors will be listed in the OP with specifics for organization purposes!
Bounty Goal:
Raise up to $500 for Scott to receive a 16 GB Galaxy Note 10.1 with a color of his choice.
Together, we CAN do it! Let the donations begin!!!

Stupid question. He just stopped supporting the TF700 so he could focus on the N10. Why would he be interested in the Note? And if he was, why couldn't the same thing happen to the Note that happened to his support of the TF700 too? Scott's great and I've used his stuff since the WinMo days but buying a device for a dev with limited time doesn't guarantee their support. Has Scott himself made any type of commitment to the Note or is this a Field of Dreams "build it and they will come?"

I asked him if it was possible to support the Note 10.1. He said it's not too hard to make a rom. He even suggested to me to start a donation thread (which I obviously have) so he can support it and he said that 'he'll be all over it.' Here's what he said to me regarding devices he receives by donations: "I can only buy these fun toys with the donations I get from the community. Sadly I am not rich and rely on donations to update to the latest and greatest!"
So my guess is that the majority of devices he supports and develops are from donations anyway. I own two devices that he currently develops for (VZW S3 and Nexus 7) and they both are heavily supported by him. I would also assume that he'd support the Note 10.1 just as much.

Bounty threads are not permitted yet they are all over XDA. Anytime HTC releases a new device there are always bounty threads to achieve s-off.

i'd go for supporting the guys who have bought one, but buying one for someone
Not heard of him and didn't see him doing any roms for the s3 and there is cm10 and other good roms anyway and from your explanation the rom you're trying to promote really offers nothing new.
How do we know you're not just wanting us to buy you a note?
Besides if his roms were that great he wouldn't have to ask for hand outs

I wasn't expecting to be getting this kind of response. But if you guys feel that this is some kind of insult to other Note developers and think this shouldn't be done on XDA, I may as well have this thread closed.

well i totally agree for a donation for Scott. I know theres rom like CM10 and everything but the differences with scott roms is that his roms are 99.9% bug free and fast and stable

You're asking people to buy him a note to install a rom that just basically offers aroma install that you can choose what apps you want and don't want.
Isn't just using titanium backup and freezing apps you don't use the same thing?

Oh, please, stop making these kind of threads. this is like the tenth thread about getting a full subforum in the last year, and none of them have worked, and this one wont either!
The moderators of xda have made their decision a long time ago (see one of the sticky threads), and wont change their minds about it. I9001 will simply not get a subforum and especially not now anymore. The device has been out for 1.5 years, and new forums are only given to new / recent devices.
Yes, i know, having only one subforum is far from ideal, but sometimes you just got to live with things like this...

the samething happened with every other phone in xda except the nexus devices lol
Some CM devs said it's a no go for the exynos chip. The snapdragon will almost definitely see official CM. I'm sure exynos may just as well. Just think of how popular this device is going to be. By the way, don't post q's in developer sections, especially og dev.
