I installed Instagram on my Tmous HD2 running Hyperdroid and it always hangs at processing when editting a picture, happened on both 5.8 and 6.0 version. Just want to know if anyone out there has the same problem like me and of course, a solution
I have not this problems with Inatsgram.
i tried instagram for a few days with my Hyperdroid 6.0.0 and had no problems. to tell you the truth i didnt like it that much..there are better similar apps out there.
you can try to uninstall instagram, clear your market history and cache and then install it again. do you have any other app-related problems? maybe you are low on memory, check your memory and check where you have instagram - internal memory or sdcard? sometimes when you move apps to the sdcard they have problems.
maybe try this?

Well I finally figured it out, it's a kernel problem. I experienced this issue on fikret and dorimanx kernel, but not on seader"s one. Thanks for your support, thread closed

I have rooted my girlfriends phone and have yet formatted the SD card for the "Apps2SD". So far the phone is been working good with the modaco 1.1 ROM but for some reason she was on her phone today and it made her force close the apps she was using and some others things and deleted all of her SMS messages. Im not sure what happen? I am new to the android world and just trying to fix the issue before it continues and gets worse
Really depends on what's going on. There are known issues with downloading too many apps and while you have Apps2sd I'm not sure if that's what's going on here as someone over at ppc geeks (thacounty I think) had mentioned that he has his rooted and is running Modaco and Apps2sd and had around 60 apps installed and after a soft reset everything force closes.
This is an issue HTC & Sprint are in the process of fixing (issue with apps & memory that is) and it may solve the issue she's having but for now I'd try to delete some apps if this continues after doing a soft reset and if all else fails do a hard reset (hope you have a nandroid backup made before the issue started).
Maybe someone else can chime in but that's the first thing that comes to my mind.
Hello,
I got GT-I9000 on 2.2.1 / J9000XXJVE / Dark_Core_1.0 running Darky's v9.5.XWJS8 (Voodoo 6 kernel), Ex4 lagfix active.
My problem is that non of the 3rd party camera apps, like Camera360, Vignette etc are working. When I start the apps they ether FC, or show me info about the camera driver problem (screens attached). Stock camera apk is working flawless, and no problem with it at all. If someone be so kind, and help me find a solution. I really don't want to flash software again :/

I would also suggest going into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and clearing the data for every application you are having trouble with.
If that doesn't help, perhaps you should reflash your kernel or try a new kernel to see if that solves the driver initialization issue.
Thank you for reply. Unfortunately changing kernel didn't helped. I switch to speedmod, and the same problem occurs. Think I'm gonna flash whole rom later today. The funny thing is that only camera-based apps are not working. Oh well

did you delete system email.apk before? had a similar problem with barcoo once and solved it by reinstalling the original mail.apk. have read it several times that this seems to cause force closes in third party camera apps in some way
Return back Email.apk, if you removed it.
Thank You all. That was the problem in 99%. I've remove the email apk, but didn't have the chance to restore it manually, I've just reinstalled the rom.
ROM: |3/24/2012| |ReloadedROMâ„¢| |CM9 Reloaded| |Kindle Fire| [CM9]
This problem also occured on Energy Kang.
Basically, any app that I leave on the sd card before I reboot will be gone after it. App Manager says "couldn't find app," the application size is changed to 0.00bytes, and the application names are the long com.etc ones. The icon remains on the homescreen but gives "App not Installed."
I honestly don't know what's going on. It's driving me crazy. Does anyone have any suggestions? These problems only happen on the ICS based roms. MIUI and CM7 have no issues with it, if that's any hint. I also had to flash ICS Google Apps for the ICS roms.
Google searching and attempting the fixes offered no solution. IT's said that this occurs when you have 50+ applications on the sdcard, but I can't even get ONE to stay on there, so how could I have 50? They just keep disappearing.
You're not the only person it happens to, and it seems to be a known issue on most ICS ROMs. If you really need the extra space for applications, I guess you could repartition the KF...
I don't need to fix it, but curiosity is getting the best of me. I just want to know why it's happening. Any hints would be welcomed, too.
I know that I can just move the apps to the system, by the way. I'm wondering if it's trying to put the applications in the wrong place...Hmm.
Since upgrading to 4.3, snapchat has not been able to load videos. it just keeps refreshing at "tap to load" i also noticed that when attempting to record video, the screen freezes until you lift your finger, then snapchat treats it like a picture.. so i cannot record or send videos either.
anyone else encounter this? fyi, i also installed the moto x camera and am using the banks gapps with photosphere add on. this problem is persistent in two different jss 4.3 aosp roms. i tried clearing app data, uninstalling, reinstall, no change.
titanium backup snapchat
im going to bump this issue because i have some thoughts on what might be the issue..
titanium restore.. there was an incompatibility with 4.3 when 4.3 was released. of course i had flashed 4.3 prior to titanium app update and used it to restore snapchat. this is when the no video problem started.
my hypothesis is this.. snapchat needs to store your videos locally on the phone before viewing, then deletes it after viewing. do you think that when titanium restored the app, it restored it with incorrect internal storage mapping? if snapchat can't access internal storage, that would explain why it cant load or record videos.
now, ive uninstalled and reinstalled snapchat before with no luck.. might that be because snapchat leaves bits and pieces of itself in the phone therefore never really has a fresh install?
if this is the case, how can i go about hunting down every last bit of snapchat?

I'm able to view videos fine, but I'm having the same problem recording videos. One thing I've noticed, if I flash a new rom [complete wipe] I can record videos fine for a few hours, but after that it starts acting up again [recording, but then only saving the first frame and sending only a picture.]
Also, I should note I'm on a Galaxy S3, noticed this issue on Cyanogenmod [4.2+] and ParanoidAndroid [4.2+], haven't tried stock. I'll reply here if I figure it out, let me know if you have any results too!

I did find a solution. I uninstalled Snapchat then went into twrp recovery and deleted the folder associated with it located at data/media/android/data/*snapchat*
Reboot and reinstall Snapchat. That folder will be recreated... Correctly.. With what I believe to be the right permissions.
If you want to try something else first try the app "fix permissions" and run it on Snapchat. Maybe that will fix the permissions of the folder.
Lastly there is a zip you can flash that fixes all permissions on your internal storage to proactively fix this issue for any other app. Search for fix internal storage permissions. The thread should come up.

Thanks. I boot to TWRP 2.6.x, File Manager, use chmod on snapchat folder and subfolders, reboot and the video record works. This was on Supernexus 4.3 on T-Mobile Galaxy S2 T989.

I'm a little slow, what is chmod? I tried finding the snapchat folder to delete after unistall, but could not. I'm flashing a new rom now coincidentally so I'm hoping snapchat will just work after that... otherwise I might try this fix permissions app. I would really like to be able to send video snaps. Seems like it should be an easy enough thing....
Bump
Also having this problem. I installed Cyanogenmod 10.2 on my GS3, used titanium backup. Ended up reverting to my nandroid backup a few hours later, and now my snapchat cannot record videos, look at videos, OR see "My Story" posts (if i click on them, it does a quick load, but doesn't open)
I read through this thread, but cannot figure out how to delete the SnapChat folder in recovery mode. I tried deleting it in the TWRP file manager, and it SAYS it deleted it, but it is still there. Any help please?

Guys I know it sounds crazy but sometimes when my phone is in charge and connected to WiFi my apps gets deleted. Now this happens as soon as play store updates some apps. And the crazier part is that my data stays intact. All I need to do is install the apk/download from play store and it's the same as before. The most affected app is Facebook, and then WhatsApp plus and canary (please don't tell because it's modded cuz Facebook and chrome canary aren't modded but same results). Now I'm on Lineage os the latest build with elementalx kernel. And no apps like greenify. I'm on the 43 variant(Indian) with open gapps (mini) and I clean flashed it.
The log I took was just after I realised that my apps had gone(not sure exactly when they were uninstalled but right after I realised) just unzip the file and you should have it.
AND YES THE POST SOUNDS CRAZY SO PLEASE DON'T TELL THAT. -_-

Apps are also crashing in r.r.
If anyone needs more details am willing to help,
It's related to the external-SD camera fix

This is not a ROM related problem, the same happened to me when I used the ExtSD_Fix_rw-signed-v1.9b.zip which you can find in this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/themes/stock-motorola-camera-t3596659
I couldn't find out why the script in that zip causes apps to uninstall randomly when you reboot the device, but I corrected using this fix for the external-sd write for the camera: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/fix-motorala-camera-write-to-externalsd-t3498573 instead of that.
Also you have to use the regular moto camera ported which you can find on this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/themes/stock-camera-t3540473 but you have to manually delete the com.motorola.*** .jar files on /system/framework/
I made a zip that makes the instalation of the camera and the deletion of the com.motorola.*** .jar files automatically but undfortunately I can't post links that are outside the XDA forums yet. With that you'll only have to apply the fix for the external-sd manually

Your'e welcome!
Also you better try this on a clean install
Hello, I have this strange problem I am using RRN 5.8.5 version on my oneplus 3. And my apps randomly gets deleted from the phone. At random times I try to look for the app and its gone. Like youtube gmaps even google keyboard some times gets deleted??? Can some one explain me whats going on ? One of my theories is that when the app ties updating it gets deleted and does not reinstall.

I have the same issue on LineageOs 14.1 on my moto G4 plus.
So according to your post because I used the moto camera zip file and the sdcard fix, I've formatted system, dalvik cache and cache, reinstalled lineageos, addonsu and Gapps but I still have applications that disapear (F-Droid for example). Note: I haven't reinstalled any moto camera app.
So if you have an idea ?

That's because the sdcard fix is what triggers apps to disapear, try a fresh install (formatting data also) and do not use the fix but DO reinstall moto camera, nothing changed for you because your permissions are not defined in the system partition.
I guarantee nothing but try this moto camera, it worked for me because I made it for me, but it implements the latest apk of the moto camera that is available and gets the writing permissions for the sd and does not make apps to dissapear.
I bought a UHS sd to use it as internal storage and do not worry for external permissions ever again but I remember i got the permissions when the sd was FAT32 formatted, and it happened without doing anything but flashing it.
I can't post links to external sources in XDA so here's the key for download it from MEGA just paste it to the end of mega .co .nz /
