Would have been cooler had it been a montage... like going through and playing with the phone... then transitioning from each android version eclair, froyo, gingerbread, and then ICS. ... *idea gives way* i might just do that myself .

I'm using the DL09 modem and having issues where text randomly aren't sent or received on AOSP Vanilla 4. Haven't found any rhyme or reason for how its happening so it's a little tough to work around.

Froyo requires DJ05 or DJ09 modem. That's your problem.

Waiting for a stable version with all of the stuff I like to use working (4G, MMS, camera, etc). I'd also like it to be ext4 based, and very clean (eg. No CIQ). A gingerbread-based SRF sounds like a nice dream...

I wasn't referring to a specific build or rom, but as someone else suggested, 4g isn't fixed yet in the build. You mentioned a hypothetical fix, but I'm not looking for maybes. I want a stable, tested and true rom. My business relies on my phone too much for me to act like a beta tester with it. And are the current builds CIQ and bloat free, with EXT4?

I updated my mom's shift to the 2.3.3 gingerbread for her but she doesn't have the CRT off or the overscroll. Are these not on the shift? I have an epic 4g running a gingerbread leak but I had to flash them seperate. Is there a way to get them on the shift?

I guess we have to live with it......... better than nothing.
CM8 and ICS MIUI will be awesome alone. I personally prefer the AOSP style ROMs.... they seem quicker and stabler.
My wifes Intercept got an update today for Gingerbread. I didnt think it was getting GB!
