x10 forums looks like starting to die :'(

x10 forums looks like starting to die :'(

Of course, the X10 is getting more and more obsolete, even with its decent hardware (better than most midrange ARMv6 phones).

Less and less users. I give the devs credit for sticking with it, even though most have moved to the new Sony phones, they still try to give us something here.
Unfortunately I have to say good bye as well, this was a company phone and I will be starting a new job and given a BB device instead. I want to say thank you to all the devs, Z,J,Binary, Doom, Arch, (even Trip) and anybody else I missed for the great work that made this phone great, even when Sony screwed the pooch on it.

Yes, sgs2 is available at a decent price (around 32 euros a month here in sweden). I tried out my old x10 after a month of sgs2, and its like day and night lol... :/
And some developers popped up lately with copied/stolen roms from eachother... The x10 is a mess nowadays

Yeah quantity yes, quality no...
I'm very happy with my Inc s but still jelly of your sgs2 hahah

the most exciting thing to me now is the official cyanogenmod, i couldn't believe that Sony Ericsson itself provided our devs with libs and stuff to work on it. I've unlocked my bootloader and i'm testing it, version fxp030 android 2.3.5 is good for daily use, devs are testing 2.3.7 now.

Things has just started to happen on this phone, it's a shame it took so long

It wil still be open a while so long as someone has an x10 and i still have a year on my contract so ill be sticking around, also i have been teaching myself and learning about every part so that i will soon be able to help keep the forum alive with new roms and tweaks and so on,
I do thank all of the devs for what they have provided i did after all get my inspiration from them

I long moved to an inspire, but I come to this section to see what you guys are up to. Needless to say, you guys are the most crazy of all the forums. I love it here. The inspire forums are too "along with the rules"

yeah, I saw O3D forum and looks dead o_0 as far as I know that phone is not that new

It looks like Canada made the list for November release of Galaxy Nexus so I'll be getting one ASAP, X10 will go to my Daughter to replace her HTC Dream

my x10 us dying too... contract ends in March tho... mehh. NY screen cracked after one drop. like aZuZu said, like walnut. will give it a second chance in life ththo. buying new housing + screen & digitizer.

Sold my X10 two days ago. I was very angry with the Cyanogenmod delay. Now I'm using c905 and I was quiet happy with it. But then bumped into a guy I sold X10. And I looked at the phone... I was WOW. X10 is a beauty beast! What I meant was, I am a little sad because I sold the phone

Yes, I'm gonna buy me a Motorola Defy. So I'll have official CM and MIUI (with ICS in future). But main reason are the ****y touchscreen and low ram.

yeah we can all complain about the touchscreen but bear in mind it is for first time user (or first time android hackers ) i dont think many phones out there has fastboot to let us play around with

Yup me too all that spec for only €169 is too good to pass up still love my x8 though

brought me an Arc S..cool phone..but i'm still visiting this x8 section..its my first android phone..

Xperia Arc S is what I'm getting. I'm not a fan of other brands out there. Stickin' with SE.

i thought about getting xperia arc,but it dont have secondary camera. so im going with xperia neo, maybe in 2012. i thought about selling my x8 but considering its my first android and the awesome things its capable off, im gonna keep up

Hi guys this is unexpected but. My X8's Micro USB port is almost dead, cant charge the phone or flash stuff with it. Also somehow it hardbricked "itself" so i don't know what to do now. I guess this was the bitter end i would love to stay but my phone don't want to. I'll still try to be active but 90% of my activity was via the Tapatalk app. So dont expect any activity from me. I am super sad to leave this awesome section after a long time. And i'll see you guys and girls around.

I'm going to formally say goodbye too then. I was going to buy a xperia u but I found xperia play cheaper and after seeing what I was looking for on a phone I found play a better option than xperia u. I loved my x8, it introduced me to this world and taught me so much! I want to thank all the work around this forum to all the developers and theme creators! And I'll be checking the evolution on this forum and hope you can all move on from the x8 since its been an awesome change for me! Bye
