Is it possible to have a 100% silenced mode in WP7, i mean like in android you have
Silence, Vibra, sound --->
But in WP7, only
Vibra, sound --->
I know there are some settings for enable/disable vibring, but it doesn't solve the problem...
Any help? ( I'm sorry if this is a trash post )
EDIT: Also, is it normal to WP7 to vibrate only once when someone is calling you? That's kinda annoying..

I am looking for a way to set independently the
pda sound: like for notifications & alerts
phone sound: what you hear wen IN a call
ringer sound: what you hear when you are called, before you pick up
I noticed phone & ringer share the same setting: So whenever I set the phone sound louder (because i am in a loud environment), the earth begins to shake when I receive the next call.
Any help / suggestions :?:
pda sound: System events can be turned on/off with a tick at Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Volume , but the slider affects all system.
phone sound actually is the system sound.
ringer sound: it should be possible to set it separately in WM2003 - I know nothing about it (still PPC2002PE - xda-developers Special Edition ROM v1.2)
By the way, you can adjust the ringer volume in the entire .WAV file with SoundForge or something like that. And then - volume up!
I figured out to change the volume of the wav / mid.
But still: It should be possible to have the three different volumes set separately.
In WM2003 there are 2 volume sliders: system (notifications & more) and phone (phone & ringer)
Have you seen the Freeware called PocketZenPhone, just follow the thread on this forum. It does what you are looking for plus more. Hope this is what you mean otherwise sorry.
I tried PocketZenPhone.
To me it introduces easy acces to preset profiles very neatly.
But I did not notice that I could set different volumes for phone sound & ringer . . . .
Maybe I have to give it another try.

Yes it does, but it is only since the past few pages that this was implemented and works great.
Im on vodafone uk, and like to check my credit using the *#1345# command which brings my balance up on screen.... but in doing so, plays a tone ... my old 2i never did this. i know the tytn does.... anyone know how i can check me credit silently?
thanks
Anyone have any experience with this? it's just I used to opt for this method of checking my balance as it was silent and didn't require any call.... Not anymore. I have to Mute the phone before I check it in any situation where loud tones arn't desired.
Perhaps you can change or mute this type of notification in TF3D - Settings - Sound - Advanced - Notifications ?
Hope this helps.
Hi all, i guess how to change it cause the defaut sound looks like simply horrible ! I'm talking about the sound from any pop-up alert you could hear on the phone (ex : write an SMS and then push the "go back" button, you'll see a pop-up alert with sound "do you want to save your sms or not ?" etc ...
I looked for that on sound evenements tab but none talk about this ...
Any ideas ?

Hi,
I am not being notified by an alert sound when I get am sms or voicemail or any of the notifications.
I believe everything is turned on to make the tone sound but it's silent. I am getting the notification in the with the flashing green LED and the notification icon in the title bar.
Please don't tell me I have a fault!! Grateful for any help.
Thanks
Same issue here.
Hard Reset solves it.
I found what trigger this problem for me is installation of a language pack.
I've read somewhere that someone said what triggered it for him was something about playing with location (country). What I saw is that after I install the language pack, my location is changed too (when I check in regional settings). Maybe this is the trigger...
I solved this by going into the Windows interface which can be damn tricky without a stylus!!
My Sense UI wasn't picking up the Windows settings, so the notifications were ticked in Sense but not in WinMo, and WinMo was the setting being used.
Possibly a fault with the Sense UI??
Thanks
Hi can you tell me how you mangaed to solve this
because i have been through the phne with a fine tooth comb and i cannot get that sms sent notification to work.
On closer inspection of the registry i do no think there is even a string for the notification (HKCU/ControlPanel/Notifications ect.
In the windows sound settings there are settings for sent MMS but not Sent SMS or Sent Message.
On My old Blackstone it seems there ere far more notification options to be enabled or disabled as you wish. If anyone has an idea what string or information we could add to the above registry setting then i think we might have nailed it?
HTC are you listening
This is an odd one. HTC's answer is to do a hard reset but if there is a reg entry or something I would rather try that first.
I have an alarm set with a sound I have placed in the windows directory. That works fine...
But when the alarm triggers it plays my default alert sound almost at the same time as my preferred alarm sound.
Has anyone come across that before?
Cheers
Rus
Yes mine does this - it plays an Alert sound right before the alarm tone rings, i think it's my text message alert sound..
It's not really an issue i guess just a 'quirk' ... doesnt bother me in the slightest..
i saw this on the stock ROM, and there are still quirks to the alarms in later winmo builds.
if you set an alarm from the home screen, i.e. the htc alarm, then go to all settings clocks and alarms alarms tab, you will see the sound changes aren't always carried over.
it doesn't do the dual sound on the later builds, but the settings pages still don't match.
Dual Alarm Sounds
Does no one know if there is a reg hack to cure this?
Having just got my phone set up the way i like it, I dont really want to have to load a new ROM just yet!
I was annoyed by this as well. For me it worked to disable the first entry in settings -> sound+display -> notification sounds. I don't know the exact term on english ROMs but I hope you get what I mean. It's where you set the sound for incoming mails and messages.
