Hello everyone,
I have my Nexus S bugging since months now, here's a screenshot :
http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/1803/screenshot2012041810435.png
As you can see, a portion of the screen is responsiveless and I tried everything across the forums I've visited :
I upgraded to ICS 4.0.4 (didn't work), try to root my phone with a kernel from Netarchy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20981971&postcount=78 (didn't work) then downgraded to gingerbread 2.3.6 to re-root with this kernel : it freezed on booting my phone, so I had to down grade to 2.3.4 to have running phone. I flashed it with the famous kernel but guess what ? that's why I'm here.
Another thing is that with time, my phone get crazy: the "cursor" evoluate and press randomly on this blank portion and I just can't press anywhere else, the phone is like being possessed.
Could somebody have a clue about my problem ? I planned to exchange my Nexus S with my fiance's galaxy note but I don't think she would appreciate a bugged phone....
HEEEEEELP !!!

Hello folks
So far, I was waiting for some update from Papa to get us a nice LC4 rooted kernel with CWM, but given the activity of the japanese forum that doesn't seem to be happening for now.
After many attempts and some cold sweat, here is what I could figure out.
- Once the update to LC4 is done, it's pretty hard to come back to a former version. None of the KLx series can be flashed, or so it seems. Your only hope is to go back to a SC02BOMJJ1 rom (Froyo) and then start upgrading again.
- The KLx series cannot be rooted using the zergrush, or so it seems.
- Once your phone is rooted with zergrush, the update to the Value Pack seems to keep the root (that's what I read on a japanese forum).
So, to progress a little, what I'd need is a 2.3.3 stock rom, like for instance the SC02BOMKF2.
Once someone can get us that
1) roll back to JJ1 (Odin + JJ1 stock + PIT)
2) upgrade to KF2 (Odin + KF2 stock)
3) root with zergrush
4) upgrade to LC4 (not Odin, using the NTT Docomo update)
and it shall be working as far as I read.
I have the JJ1 files here if somebody needs them, but anyone with a 2.3.3 stock rom ???
hello sir, im a sc02b user too, actually i now have the SC02BOMLC4 value pack on my phone and nothing seems to be new from the last update (KL4). Anyways, ive got my phone rooted but i have to use the kyapat10mod3 to get rooted, yeah that's right my kernel is still SC02BOMKL4 and nothing seems to be worried about im still using my phone now. OC and Memory freak are still working. What I want for our phone is to get some compatible ROMs e.g. CM9, DARKNIGHT, etc. ive already tried the CM9 and its pretty cool but it cannot detect any sim card it has no baseband and EMEI as well. Have a good day..c:
Hi Guys!
I got a classic Samsung Galaxy S i9000 and i used to mess with the roms and Kernel, however ... I've recently upgraded to Samsung Galaxy SIII and i decided to be a good brother and pass my old i9000 to my sister ... However, before i can , i need to fix this !
Is there a way to make the i9000 completely stock again? at this point the CWM is still installed even after factory resetting the device..
It's been quite a long time since i messed with it and i dont trust my own knowledge anymore so i figured i'd post a message.
If there is a quickfix for the Wifi, that will do too :highfive:
Thanks guys !

yes, just use a downgrade Rom or rescue kit from My Android Collections and or a solution from My Android Solutions
I have the note , recently I rooted it and got cm ,for some reason I cant get into (before ) the factory recovery ,it would not let me in , I went ahead and ran odin and got clockword mod 5 running , but I am at a loss , starting with the NOte in 4th quarter closing in on overtime and there so much info ,I dont really know where to start!
Ive been doing Android for awhile and pretty comfortable with my Acer Tablet ,but this seems like a whole new language and I really dont know where to start , yes I have Root (super SU.0.95 ) and CM , heres what my phone says :
Model Number:
samsung-sgh-I717
Android Version:
4.04
Baseband Version
I717UCLF6
Kernel Version:
3.08
Build Number:
IMM76D.UCLF6
does this tell you guys anything ? Where do I go from here ? Do I need to go back to the beginning? Start over , Im game , but it seems like theres 50 million different ways ,and million different ways to get there? Its not like in the Acer a500 ,theres a few ways and fairly simple ways at that even adb !
Please anyone , can you start me off and send me in the right direction ? I want to be in JB , I dont even know how to tell what kernel I have or need ? Baby step me ,please , I must be losing my mind..................
wrong forum.. you have a i717 and this is a n7000 forum look for at&t one that's where you have to start from

Hi guys!
So I too, like many on this forum started my adventure of rooting and throwing a custom rom on my device, because the grass is always greener on the other side, right?
In my particular case I threw CyanogenMod 11 onto my SM-N9005, and though it took a great many tries I finally did it, but lo'n behold did it bring an ocean of troubles to my device. I believe the whole issue is my phone has a bootloader 4.3, and the CyanogenMod 11 is KitKat 4.4.2. I am not sure if this is what is causing my trouble, but I believe it is. Both my wifi, bluetooth and MMS have all stopped working.
I know this forum is usually great at helping out people, as I experienced in my first thread here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50821847 ( Big shoutout to Rosli59564 who was being very patient and helpful! )
I've now fooled around trying to fix my wifi, but I've come to accept I simply cannot get it to work, and now wish nothing else but to go back to the stock rom for Note 3, bootloader 4.3 compatible. I really hope there is a kind soul out there, who could point me in direction of it, it'd be so very much appreciated!

- Edit -
To clarify.
I have the international model, SM-N9005
Bootloader is 4.3
I live in Norway, if that has anything to say.
- Double edit -
I am not interested in custom roms or anythign anymore. I just wish to get my device as close to stock as possible. I've found a ton of information about going back to stock rom, but they all talk as if I had 4.4.2 already, and that has me confused, as my bootloader is only 4.3, cheers!
