Greasy fingers - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

I absolutely love my galaxy note, butI'm tired of wiping my phone because of the greasy finger marks. Will a screen protector eliminate this? And i know wash your hands lol
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium

Well, unless there are some with anti finger mark technology that I've never heard of before, you'll never eliminate then all together.
But, certainly the ones I've used in the past and use currently, although the prints aren't as noticeable, they are still there and need the screen still needs wiping.

The Zagg InvisibleShield does a very good job eliminating fingerprints, but of course, you can't get rid of them entirely.

Thanks i will have look. The only thing about touch screens i dont like is trying to eat a KFC and using phone lol

No, click on InvisibleShields at the top. Go to "Browse other devices". On the right of the page there will be three drop down boxes. Select "Cell phones" in box 1. "Samsung" in box 2. Then in box three scroll down. You will see two Galaxy Notes. European and US. The N7000 is the European / International model.

I have bought the Case Mate HD Screen Protection Kit - Anti-Fingerprint Scratch Resistant Film. The fit was great and it drastically reduced marks from handling. It achieved this, though, at the expense of clarity. I for one could not use it for more than a few days. I went for a clear SGP and although more fingerprint prone at least the image is not fuzzy.

Removing Cincinnati Bell logo

Has anyone managed to remove the ugly Cincinnati Bell decal logo off their vibrants? If so, how did you go about doing this?
LOL, I've seen that logo and its substantially more obnoxious than any other logo I've seen. I can't remember exactly but I think its up at the top alot like the T-Mobile logo is just ALOT BIGGER(a pic might help maybe?). If it is then I know the Otter Box case covers up that whole section. It will still be there but at least you won't have to look at it anymore. Good luck!
Hi very likely I will be getting Samsung vibrant what do you think of it

lol, Yup thats what I was thinking. I saw one in person once and that was the first thing I noticed, the gawd awful logo!
- have your tried some sort of paint thinner? maybe goo-gone? be careful tho
- seriously google "samsung vibrant otterbox" images, its a great case and it will cover that area completely.
I removed my CB logo with a razor blade and bit of patience.

Meh. It's harmless, and I've barely noticed it was there since I got my phone a couple months ago.
Why risk possibly damaging the phone or the gorilla glass?

Two reasons - the screen protector bubbles around it and two; everyone and their cousin asks you why there's a sticker on the front of your phone.
A co-worker removed his with his fingernail and a CreditCard.
John
Comes right off
... if you just use a little bit of isopropanol and a kimwipe (or if you don't have that, try using a non-scratch dish sponge)
Guess what it says underneath?!? T-mobile LOL
If it's just a decal, heat it up a little (leave it on your dash) and see if you can't get it off then. Several years ago I owned a small graphics company and we used this stuff called "Vinyl Up" to remove anything with an adhesive. It's very gentle and doesn't eat paint. That said, it's a little expensive in this context.

Galaxys Screen

Am I the only one that fells that the screens "softness" wares off after some use?
When I bought by SGS3 I found it VERY VERY smooth coming from the SGS2 but now after some weeks I find it the same as the SGS3
Does the screen ware off or my dirty hands made my screen less soft?
get a non reflective ( anti glare) screen protector live how it feels .
but too your question think it's a bit of both dirt scratches and perhaps the mind getting used to it.

Screen Protector | Now can't hang up call?!

I put on best skin ever, skin and then when I made a call the phone wouldn't lite up to see the hang up button. So I took skin off tested call it worked with skin off. I then put screen protector by Lumii Ark (great screen protector) and the same in call experience.
I haven't taken the protector off yet simply looking for a fix. I know that there are the two sensors on the upper left corner. It is polished clean and the protector is crystal clear. Any thoughts or similar experience?

Yup, pretty much. Or you can use scissors
I tried scissors with the skin and ruined the skin. I appreciate both responses. Have either of you had to fix this with ur N4 I have had a lot of androids and never any issues like this with the sensor being covered by screen protector.
I'll consider the hole punch. But would have to buy another screen protector. Sigh

Liberate yourself and go without the screen protector. I've used screen protectors on all my previous phones from the HTC Sensation, Galaxy SII, Galaxy SIII, and Galaxy Nexus.
When the Nexus 4 was announced I sold my SIII and picked up a Galaxy Nexus for relatively cheap. I decided that since the Galaxy Nexus was going to become my backup phone I'd go without a case or screen protector. Over the past 3 weeks of using the phone this way I've really grown to appreciate the phone "naked". Now I really could never go back to covering these beautiful phones with a case or screen protector again. I haven't been babying the phone like I normally would and it doesn't have a single scratch anywhere on it.
I'm really looking forward to using the Nexus 4 without any protection and enjoying it for what it is. Worst case, if I drop it and it gets damaged I'll shell out the ~$160 for a replacement from Google. I made enough profit from selling the SIII (which I put away just in case) to easily cover the cost of a replacement if necessary. For me, this is plenty peace of mind to enjoy the phone with no protection.
Just my $0.02.
Fair enough. I already bought a case I'll get first week of Dec. I have had the phone since the 18th so I know the awesome naked feeling u speak of.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I want a flip to car that leaves the screen bare when open. I will just use the case when I think the phone needs added protection.
I do not really like anything that is on the touch screen but I may put a transparent shield on the back glass.

N2 glass screen protector on a N3

I ordered some note 2 glass screen protectors cause I thought I would have the n2 for quite some time but I came across a deal I couldn't pass up on Craigslist for a note 3. So I put the n2 glass screen protector on the n3. It fit pretty decent for being for a N2. It would fit even better if I wouldn't have put it on crooked lol. The glass screen protectors were 10 dollars shipped on eBay.

Thats actually a good idea. I just got my Note 3 yesterday and my screen protectors are not coming in until Monday. In the meantime I was afraid of something happening. I am going to throw my spare Note 2 screen protector on it for now.
The phone has gorilla glass 3, I have yet to scratch an old pos HTC thunderbolt or skyrocket. Money better spent on a square trade warranty.
Currently I put iSmooth Note 2 screen protector as temporary.
MIME will come tomorrow.

That sucks, but general use won't damage a screen, that takes some serious abuse.

Sand and glass don't mix, a possible bur on keys, I've already jammed a aluminum flashlight into my pocket with the phone against the screen, no sharp edges, it did no damage. If you wear a ring with exposed stones, that too can damage. In and out of a clean pocket will do nothing, unlike the older phones.
I'd never let my fiance use a phone without a screen protector, she'd damage it in a day, depends how conscious you are of the screen.
Still cheaper to get a square trade at this point, 99 and then 100 deductible, replacing the screen is very difficult on this phone, you are more likely to break more in the process, plus it is still more $ than the warranty. Best of luck.

I had this exact problem when I initially installed my screen protector. It was extremely tough to use the S-Pen and felt extremely rubbery. The next day, I tried the S-Pen again and it was absolutely smooth and normal.
I think that there was something left on the screen protector after I initially removed the thin plastic film that they stick to it for shipping.
