OP didn't specify what he wanted to overclock (other than "24/7"). Assuming the EVO 4G's CPU, then what cutthroatamft said.
overclocking abilities are included in cm7
settings>cyanogenmod settings>performance
I used overclock widget since day 1 with my evo. I have recently upgraded to set cpu as I like the profiles and ability to change governers
Does overclocking drain the battery more?

i'm using cpu tuner. no interst in overclocking though. want to
manage cpu and battery life.

Depends if ur on gb or froyo, sense or non sense, for gb sense, there is one the freedom kernel, golden monkey didn't have governors yet
