Sir, your method is working. You should post it in the OP. Maybe if there is a script or simple apk, it will be very handy.

You really don't need to spam this into every single development thread, it isn't anything new. This method was posted in the "How to fix your battery life" thread that was originally posted about in Nov/Dec.
You should note that this 'solution' only works until you run the battery low. People who have this issue often have their battery drop 3-10% very quickly when their battery gets low (for me its at about 30-35%). The battery will then only charge to 100% minus the percent that the battery dropped very quickly when you ran it low. Deletion of the files listed in your original post needs to be done again to re-fix the problem.
So yes, this works, though its a bandaid, not a solution, and it doesn't need to be posted in every dev thread. Just ask KennPenn for a sticky.

No he's right. Wiping batt stats in recovery erases those files located in Data. I looked it up.

I was actually more trying to point out that the solution is temporary, and that a link to this post wasn't needed in CM9, Recovery, and Stock ROM threads - Not that this band-aid has been already posted.
On topic -
This does work, until you run your battery very low / dead, then the "fix" needs to be applied again.
Example -
For me, my battery will show that it is charged to 100% until I have a day where it drops to 30-35%. What happens there is that the battery will suddenly "lose" 2-10% charge instantly. Obviously the battery isn't actually draining by that much, its just how the software sees it. Anyway, at the next charge the phone will only go to whatever 100 minus how far the battery instantly drained. So if I was at 33% and it dropped to 26%, on the next charge it won't go past 93%. At that point I need to re-apply this band-aid.
There was a script floating around here somewhere, I believe it was in the neutrino thread a few months ago, but I can no longer find it. You could just run the script and it would remove the files listed in the OP, then you could reboot the phone and it would be okay. I'll search for that script later - its time for me to go kayaking.

You can look it up on the IRC for evo, posted in the general thread. Also here. This is Toast's build, but it's been pretty good to me so far, although I like Evervolv's theme more. I think Prelude takes toast's cm and add's his own improvements, or at least the kernel.

Toasts kernel is a must-have for wimax support, no sense in trying to restart that whole adventure again when you can ask toastcfh for permission (out of sincerity) and just compile that kernel and include with the packages.
Evervolv is in no way, shape or form CM. Of course preludedrew may opt to turn to the CM guys for help, that's what this community is all about. As I said, though, preludedrews roms are his own creation, not just relabeled cyanogen(mod) builds.

If your roaming when you setup the phone then you have to turn on National or International Data Roaming, depending on location of course.

Multiple posts on this, one search would have done it. You need to recalibrate your battery and let a few cycles go by. Battery stats mean nothing right now until you do that.

From a moderators perspective if a thread in the Development section does not contain anything Development related then it should get locked. If there is no link then it's rather pointless and based on personal experience will only cause issues between other members and the developing party.
In other words, if there is nothing good that can come from it then it naturally closed as a preventative action.
The other thread was locked because the link posted was for that of the BETA release which was intended ONLY for those who had donated to TeamWhiskey. Now requiring donation for download is in conflict with the interests with XDA-Developers and the community so we cannot and will not have that here on XDA.
By the way... I'm not your moderator so I have nothing to do with the decisions that were made. Here I am just like yourself. An ordinary member.

Straight up. I am currently using ZenDroid 2.1.1, but have encountered this problem on several roms and so have others. The person on the other side gets a horrible echo. I just moved to a house where my reception is horrible, and I need this to work properly. My wife and I both have vibrants.
The bottom line - be the first to deliver to me a non echoing, functional t-mobile wifi calling app for froyo, and I Paypal you $50. I prefer to have it work on zen droid, but if there is no other way, I will change to another froyo rom to have this work properly. I just have to confirm it has fixed my problems before payment, and $50 is yours. No BS.
Anyone up to the challenge?

Everything he said makes sense, and I will have to try the volume thing to see how it works. I posted this before I saw what he said on the ZenDroid thread.
As far as the incentive, I think it is a good idea. I am totally not trying to be a smartass, when I say it would not be the first time something unfixable on this phone was fixed by some great minds on this forum. NP, and, certainly not trying to push. I am not an EDT fanboy, but I have tried at least 8-10 2.3.4-2.3.5 ROMs, just about giving up, and saying Nexus Prime is prolly less than 2 months away. On a final whim I tried Asgard, and with this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239713
despite myself, I actually have working GPS that is equal to or better than any FroYo ROM I have used. I am on my 3rd replacement Vib. and the first 2 sucked wind as far as GPS went, so I KNOW bad GPS. I saw another poster (and I should have bookmarked the quote) say something to the effect that anything that could possibly be a GB bug he has managed to experience on his Vib. +1... The problem is that no 2 phones are the same, so YMMV, but I am now, albeit reluctantly, a believer that GB can have awesome GPS. Just my 4 cents.
I use my gps on a daily basis as a must for my business and im on miui revamped and have been for a couple months..these guys have got the gps goin on,its fast, accurate and i haven't driven off a cliff or into the ocean yet.
So if your sticking with froyo for that reason....your missing out.
Good luck with your wifi calling endeavour

Alright, I'm on Phase II of the test..."The Re-Charge"
I did what the instructions said, and I had my battery at 100%, which I then killed to ~1% until it shut off. The phone is now turned off, and charging.
In the past, when I would charge it to get it to show 100%, and dis-charge so that it would shut off, it would never fully charge to show 100%; it would stop at 90% when the phone was off, and between 90-95% when the phone was on. We'll see if this is a permanent fix in a few hours when we commence Phase III..."Profit."

I believe battery power used while in CWM is not reported and when you boot up battery stats get messed up. You can clearly see it when you spend a lot of time in recovery then reboot and check battery stats. You will see a black line running down your stats. Trust me, this is why everyone's battery stats are not in calibration.

Frankly, I don't care which instructions people follow as long as it gets their problems fixed. But there was no reason for yet another battery life thread.
I didn't invent these steps. This was a common knowledge posted by many different people in many threads before.

I don't see how the instructions in my thread are any more tedious or not working than yours, since the steps in my tutorial written over 4 months ago (steps 5 through 11) are exactly the same as in your tutorial.

Frankly, I don't care which instructions people follow as long as it gets their problems fixed. But there was no reason for yet another battery life thread.

"Open Root Explorer App and navigate to "/data/battd" delete all the files except uid."
I'm a bit tired so maybe I missed it but where's that step in your guide?

Your process works great if you don't have a job. My method effective and does not suffer from OCD.

I've got a ROM called SmurfMod9 that I need tested.... Wondering whether I should just post it up as a WIP? I ran it for a day and the only real problem I'm having is battery life. It is crazy fast tho. 10 thanks and I'll post it when I get home from work lol. I know all you Shifters want something new.

F it, nothing's been posted here for awhile... I just got home give me a few and I'll post it up and you guys can tell me the bugs you find.
I know its not the best way to do things, but I hate the testing process and I have little free time. And with everybody testing we'll find the bugs quicker... Alright just give me a few minutes and it'll be ready.
Alright y'all it's up, commence the flashing!
I will test this as soon as I get my phone rooted lol

I got around to doing it this past weekend but I wasn't able to, the "Android System Recovery <3e>" didn't show up on my second time rebooting (first time I dumbly just pulled my battery)
But I dont wanna spam this thread anymore, I posted about in your thread a couple days ago, maybe you can help me get it working? Thanks in advance.
