Hey guys im kinda confused about this but here we go let me explain.
Im currently on the WP7 rom [ROM][24 LANGS] 02.04.12 HD2O© v2.00b5 WP7 TANGO 8773 [ONLINE]
i dont really like it and its buggy so i would like to go back to the stock windows mobile rom then flash one of the custom roms for it maybe.
I have the Australian Telstra T9193 if that is important
if someone could just help me get it back to stock would be great because i bougt the phone with windows phone 7 already on it so im a big noob and i plan on selling the phone soon anyway.
btw does flashing the stock rom remove magldr? i have no clue and ive tried reading around but i just dont understand all this lol
Yes flashing the stock ROM for your HD2 will remove the WP7 ROM and MAGLDR. You can flash it via your computer while connected via USB with a RUU. Or you can extract the ROM from the RUU and flash it via SD card. I suggest you just use the RUU though as it will clean the NAND before installing the ROM.

thx it worked but after reinstalling the stock rom it comes again to what happend first.
You must have missed something.
1. Hold vol down to enter HSPL during boot.
2. Either Task29 or directly flash a stock rom to completely revert to original state.
3. If you using custom rom and task 29, make sure you also flash the radio.
In order for the MAGLDR to work, you MUST flash radio that enables 576MB ram. I.e.: radio with *.50.* in its version name. If your stock rom comes with *.51.* radio, you need to change the radio.
Go here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787) and pick a compatible radio and flash it. Then finally flash MAGLDR. It should work then.
Can anyone tell me where to get a stock rom?
I tried the HTC website, but apparently my serial number is wrong (I dunno why). My provider (vodafone) doesn't have anything either...

You need to provide more details. Which build are you using? Did you change the kernel, if so, did u copy the modules as well? Also, have you tried formatting your SD card using the panasonic SDHC card formatter? (It may seem trivial to format, but broken file system will prevent android from mounting your sdcard)

If I understand you correctly you are wanting to return to Windows Mobile 6.5 from NAND Android, correct?
If that is the case, all you need to do is flash a Windows Mobile ROM via the RUU. This will overwrite MAGLDR and any partitions on your NAND that were created as a result of flashing a NAND Android ROM.
ok but if i have original german rom can i put eanglish rom via RUU and do i lost mdglr in that case. ......if i will put new nandroid is like this
put new radio
put madglr1.11 or 1.12

and if i wish to put new nand on hd2 with oldnand what i must to do

If you flash a Windows Mobile ROM, regardless of the language, it will overwrite MAGLDR.
If you are looking to run Android, then just flash MAGLDR. That is a one-time deal unless you overwrite it with Windows Mobile. Once MAGLDR is flashed via the RUU to your phone you can flash as many NAND Android ROM's as you want, without having to reflash MAGLDR. You can also flash Radio ROM's via RUU without affecting MAGLDR or NAND ROM's because they are applied to a different area of the phone. Hope that clears it up for you.
So, to answer your question, if you want to overwrite a previous NAND rom with a new one, all you need to do is flash the new one. You won't have to reflash MAGLDR.
thanks man what can i say i ask this for me and other peple who know in teory but no so well in practice

However, due to damage to my phone I need to install the original windows, radio etc. so that my insurance will pay the coste of repair. Sadly, I do not know what my original settings are. How can a retrace them?
Kind regards,

Perform a Task 29 then simply flash a stock WinMo rom viz SD card method...this resets back to stock WinMo and SPL (removes HSPL as well)..
Flash the correct stock rom, if you're using a t-mo HD2, flash a t-mo rom, and so on and so forth.
I cant get task29 to work, says it needs htc sync which i have!
When I try to install the stockrom (from HTC Site, renaming it LEOIMG.nbh) using bootloader it does not work either.
I get the coloured screen and it keeps saying serial and doing nothing!
What to do now?
Well, task 29 worked, however I could not install my stock rom using the sd card method, just installed it via bootloader connected with usb and it worked.
However, for my insuarance to be effective I also need a stock spl, where can I get that?

Hello
This is my current situation:
I have an european market HD2, with the following changes from stock:
HSPL (2.08 I think)
MAGLDR 1.13
CWM recovery 3.2.0.0
RADIO updated to 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14
NANDROID 2.3.7 with kernel 2.6.32.15_tytung_r14My USB plug is no more. Apart from changing the phone's mother-board the's no way to fix the USB socket.
Therefore I cannot flash anything on my phone via USB, only via CWM.
I need to SIM unlock my phone. From what I've read there is no way to enter the unlock code and make it work, other than to have stock WinMo 6.5 on the phone.
How could I unlock my phone given this situation?
Can I unlock via Android?
Can I run WinMo 6.5 from SD?
Thank you.

I assume you were referencing this thread when you say you read it somewhere. Samsamuel's pretty much always right so I guess that's true. If it's possible to flash a WinMo 6.5 Custom ROM via your SD card (i.e. using Leoimg.nbh) then you should be fine. You'd have to:
1. Backup your stuff with Titanium Backup
2. Flash to a WinMo custom ROM (I say custom ROM because I think flashing a stock ROM via the SD card will replace the SPL version too)
3. Unlock your sim
4. Flash NAND Android on cLK.
5. Restore your data previously backed up.
Before doing this though I'd recommend waiting for someone else to answer in this thread and confirm this works, because I could be wrong of course.
For now I'll wait as you recommended.
But you raised another issue...

I'm not familiar with this type of flashing. Can you please elaborate?
Thank you.
UPDATE: I just searched it and found out it can be done via cLK http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1114053

Yeah, you can Flash NAND Android via cLK (hence I put it in my steps lol) but have you found any evidence saying that Sim unlocking works via cLK? It's quite possible, as cLK is much more like native Android than MAGLDR.
blocked hd2, here what happened, i had artemis v17 and wanted to go back to the official htc rom but flashing wasn't completely succesful, basically now i have in my hd2 some part of the official rom and some part of the artemis but it's not working at all, i can't succesfully flash no one of the two roms and no roms at all
active sync isn't working so i can only operate by sd card i tried and searched a lot but no solution yet...hope of a good advice....

Extract the rom to get the nbh file. Rename that nbh to LEOIMG.nbh. Copy it to your SDcard, and flash in bootload mode.
NOTE: You will have to reflash HSPL if you want to flash any custom rom at a later stage and this can only be done from computer!
yes i tried it but the flashing of the original htc stops because there is part of the artemis that prevents from flashing orginal roms in the phone
aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh i can t buy new phone how can i solve it i've been trying for days!!!!
and i can't connect the hd2 to the pc since there's no working rom in it.

but shanman tell me, with this kit do i need active sync working?
i have no working rom in my hd2 so i guess i somehow have to restore the hd2 to factory settings and factory rom without having to use activesync, or anyway flash any rom and then be able to flash win 6.5!
I REALLY DON'T WANT TO BURY MY HD2 IT'S STILL GREAAAAAAT, please i'm searching all over but cant find a solution so far
if you can enter bootloader you should be able to flash via USB if PC drivers are correct & no Hardware issue present on HD2.
