Thanks for the reply Jay_Rulen.
I found these threads before i posted the request here. Those threads are not for n1 and i believe the light levels depend on hardware.
I am looking for the optimal settings for n1.

Try these, they're the hardware sensor levels on the Nexus One and Desire.
Play around with the light levels in the "Screen" column to suit your personal preference.

Touchscreen sensitivity

Does anyone have a flashable package that increases the sensitivity of the touchscreen?
Or would anyone be able to give me a quick rundown on how to adjust it?
I know there were a few values floating around a while back.
Thx in advance.
There is an app in the market, something like galaxy $ screen tuner, tho I can't remember its exact name

Nice one, was after something to do this as well, thanks.
Does it actually work in improving the screen though?

Thanks. Downloaded and am using it now. Dunno do I see much difference though. Using "optimized" and super optimized .
Anyone recommend settings with this app. ??
My main gripe with the screen is its not sensitive enough when texting fast.

I've been using gingerbread keyboard and smart keyboard pro and both react the same to my texting. I don't use swype.
I use since day one I got the SGS in june and can't operate the phone without. Superfine is good for me, but you can fiddle a bit to find settings that suit you. Too bad that pernament fix ain't possible yet.

sorry to drag this thread up again, but does anyone know how to change the sensitivity in gingerbread?
i'm using JVR and the touchscreen booster app does not work. I can remember it did work when I used it on froyo.

All silent widget?

I need a widget which is capable of:
Makes everything silent just in one touch
Turns settings back to previous after touching it again
because when I'm in classes I'm really afraid sometimes that some music might play, or some game might turn on and it'll give sound and that has happened
So if somebody could help me out here it'll be great or if a developer sees this, then i hope i gave him/her a good idea

Galaxy SIII swipe lock feature?

Hi, I was wondering if there was an app or something that enabled the screen to lock after sliding over the phone sensor? I noticed it on other phones. Thanks!

You mean something like this?:
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...tically-disable-display-via-proximity-sensor/
Sounds great should check out
P.S. It seems like the screen doesn't get locked if the screen is turned of from this app I mean it wont lock even the screen time out period passes.

I think this is it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.LancerVII.Prox
Sorry about the link I posted earlier. Now that I think about it, this may have been the app that I used (the lite version). Of course, credits to kssood

If u continue searching for these proximity apps u will get many cool apps...u may get one that changes songs with proximity or if u want to turn on your screen with proximity then install smart screen on but it is useless and draws too much battery.
Just for information purpose I post this here.if u have any problem then tell me.I will remove this post.
Remember its not legal to download and use pirated apps.u must support the original developer by buying his app. Do not apply this method unless u are in danger to lose your life .
OK so here it is...
1.Google blackmart and download the appk.
2.install it.
3.u will get the paid apps free here.best pirated appstore after applanet)
I repeat again ...don't use this method unless u are in real emergency .

[REQ] Signal / Wi-fi / Operator on the left side of status bar

You know, like in MIUI v5? Is there any ziptheme mod, or does anyone know what do I have to edit to have those icons on the left side of the staus bar?
Thanks in advance.
I also REALLY want this. I'm surprised no one has already made this happen, it seems like a no brainer customisation feature.

Gingerbread MIUI had the option. Would be neat but I doubt I'd use it.

Great find
I found something similiar, involved editing xml files after decompiling sytemUI, but for an older Android version, so it didn't work. I will decompile his file and check for differences.
I'm currently working on modifying the systemUI.xml of my PA rom which should work on most AOSP roms. I'm trying to adjust icon dimensions to allow for a larger signal strength icon to simulate the new ios7 dot style signal strength icon. Not that relevant... But while I'm there I'll see if I can't make a simple switch sides mod.
Make a paint image or something or find a screen shot of exactly what you want or what side and such. I don't want to forget icons.

It says: ''I'm going to show you to properly center the clock using the xml found in stock Sony Timescape ICS but the principles can be applied to pretty much any rom on any device.''
So i think that could be done in any other roms. I will try it in PA

Yeah, I know. I tried something like this, but it was based on stock ICS, but some lines weren't present in JB's XML.

Charging as I type

I just got it it's charging at the moment any hints or tips for this tablet? Or any settings recommendations?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
Jus run through the settings one by one and deselect anything that sounds like it might waste battery. Qslide, knock on, all nice touches but both waste that extra bit of juice and I can do without.
Enjoy
Ok thanks also what screen brightness do you have yours on?

Sound advice. I have tried daily at 50 60 70% and full. Personally I find full brightness too bright for web browsing.

A he never asked that. He asked what brightness do YOU have it on. You do know people do this all the time. Just look into monitors at Hard forums. People love to know all the settings people use. People will say they get the best battery life with.. and then post.
Ok so I have it set up using nova Launcher just like on my note 3 I'm loving the tablet so far only this that's annoying me is the bar with the touch buttons at the end, as in when I'm using apps I don't get the full screen I guess it's something I will just have to get used to.
