Sometime people do crazy thing
They know battery is low, but the did not take consideration or safety thinking. They never check first the precaution step before flash. Now they cried loud for help! Luckly here XDA community is very helpful. My respect goes to XDA community. So, pls help this poor newbie!! :-*

Its very obvious from your 3 threads you did no research before jumping into rooting and custom roms/kernals. Your device can be a year old and that wouldnt make a difference with your situation. Its all user error.
Buy a usb jig, and a seperate battery charger. Read next time.

Exactly, I rooted it the first day but I made sure I did my homework!
Anyway, if you've charged the battery you might be able to get it into download mode blindly. Press the download mode key combo, wait for 10 secs, then press up (or was it down? I don't remember off the top of my head, try both or search for it), and PC Odin might detect your soft bricked Note. Then flash a stock ROM.

Hey guys, I think i may have bricked my SGN.
I rooted via adb and then flashed the abyss kernel followed by stunner ics rom. But when i restarted through CWM the phone never restarted and now it won't even turn on. No download mode either and i've tried every possible trick including the wall outlet.
Phone won't turn on at all. Is this considered hard bricked and has anyone found a solution to this. Will a USB jig work on this.
Also, the stunner ics 4.5 beta showed successfull at CWM so i'm not sure what happened. Battery was fully charged too.
Try taking out the battery for a few minutes, put it back again and try entering download mode again.
What's sky ics rom?

Well, did you try a USB-jig to force your Note into Download-Mode?
Than you should be able to flash a stock and start over again.
Did you let your Note do the first startup at his own, I've read that the first start may took a bit longer and shouldn't be interrupted?

Well, i was in CWM and then installed the rom then pressed restart phone on CWM menu. Went downstairs and when I came back it didn't turn on.
if it doesn't turn on at all is it a hard brick?
I ordered a usb jig from amazon for $7.00 and it will arrive tomorrow, I heard the usb jig only works on soft bricked phones though and since mines won't even turn on will there be any chance at all of it working?
Hey guys I just realized what went wrong. I download the N7000 Galaxy note roms and kernels instead of the i717 (ATT) versions. Stupid me!
Has anyone ever had success getting a fix on this? If not would I be able to go to an AT&T store and just get a new one? What should I tell them. Please help

hi try this not my work dont now if it works
Default Bricked Galaxy Note N7000 or Incorrect ROM Flash Easy Fix
Ok simple you won't see nothing on the screen because the bootloader is wrong.....
Just put the battery in then do following.
1. hold vol down+home+power for 15 seconds...
2. release then press volume up...
Note: Don't worry about seeing anything on the screen or any keys light
it will be blank this is because bootloader is incorrect
3. open odin you should see comxx in listed flash the original bootloader back
into phone this will/should resume visual display.
I have attached necessary files to resume
Load File in PDA NOT BOOTLOODER
4. Wait 10 seconds.. Remove Battery Then Boot Back into Bootloader following steps 1&2
5. finally flash Stock Rom to resume the whole phone to original state.
Hope That Helps......see hear for post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23052721#post23052721

Just came back from att center and they said that they couldn't replace it for me on the spot because they don't have the phone in stock since its a newer phone. I gotta call the number they gave me now.
Sorry you've run into such a serious issue, but in a few way it's probably quite a good thing it's a hard brick.... It's likely you would have had a raised flash counter and the fact they can't power it on there and then is a bit of a God sent.
Hope you get a replacement soon mate

First of all I think It wouldnt have raised the binary counter and give triangle because you didnt use Odin to flash (Am I right?).
Second thing Thought it had given you a triangle since your phone is dead.
So they cant find that you flashed a custom kernel or the binary.

Hi everyone, I was one of the people who bricked their phone by flashing the ICS Stunner Rom. I thought it would nice if there was a place where we could discuss how to go about solving this. I'm aware that we'll probably just have to send our phones in for repair but I thought it would be best to look at all the options first.
I've ran many versions of the stunner rom without issues. I find it hard to believe you are bricked.
Describe your situation. If the display turns on, you are not bricked. Have you tried connecting to a PC and see if Odin can see your phone?

Your right. Why don't you just give the guy razor blades and sleeping tablets even before he explains his issue.
Yes I'm new to the Note but I have brought back many phones back from the "BRICK".
Nothing works, I can't boot into download or recovery
Any ICS kernel based on the leaks seems to carry a danger of permanent damage to the eMMC.
So far the only safe Samsung ICS kernels seem to be those based on the I9100 update4 source base.
Well what would you recommend I do from here though? I want to get this fixed as soon as possible.
Check the end of stunner thread... Send it to mobile video review for jtag

every time i consider bumping to a Custom ICS I see a thread like this or some issue that is a showstopper for me.
I'm glad I haven't yet had ICS.
I'm also in the same boat as you. I flashed it and it turned into a brick thinking it was the battery being drained. Plugged the phone in and the the phone didn't respond so I knew something went really wrong. Then the bricked news followed on the thread. There is pretty much nothing we can do right now but to send it out to get a JTAG, which is not a guaranteed fix either according to some folks in the thread. The very last resort is to replace the mainboard.

don't lower your hopes down, I've seen countless and numerous times of Bricked Notes being revived and restored thru JTAG. This process is the much low level process you can get of restoring your Note into it's normal process. I don't see why your Note can't be restored if it's done thru JTAG.
(Not unless you have a broken ICs or chipsets already, which contitutes a hardware failure and that's the time you may have to replace it.)
JTAG is trusted already and proven to restore almost all bricked Notes.
Just from my own experiences..
Cheers

do you have a JIG or the tools to create one by yourself ? this seems your only solution for now, anyway does your phone enter to boot animation or it just doesn't flick ?!
there isnt much any of us who had our phones bricked can do about, and yes it was a version of ics stunner that did the damage, i have a feeling its gonna be a motherboard replacement
Hi everyone , im sorry to tell but from begining i had problems with my s3 , i had a error and the battery was consumed very fast on standby then i rooted , installed other kernels roms etc , for nothing , i had an onscreen time of maximum 2.5 hours with everything shutted down gps sync geo localization setting all ...
Now i had installed original jelly bean flashed with odin and syah kernel the latest version from 1 month ago dont know exactly if something new came up.
My problem is that somehow when the phone was charging i was sending some emails and i felt a burned smell , i checked and the place in wich comes the plug into the phone was like toasted, from then i couldnt charge the phone no more and i cant put back the jelly bean using odin no more ...
The question is how do i put the original rom from tmobile germany back into my phone without odin , just with recovery mod ?
i coulndt find nothing on internet regarding this , just using odin , because when i try to start the phone i just pop the image with syah kernel and the guys from waranty will see this and my phone will be sended back as defect as i send it .
please help

Hello,
I've been trying to look for help the past couple of hours and just can't seem to find any.. It is getting a bit frustrating.
I recently put CyanogenMod 10.2 on my Nexus 4 using the CyanogenMod Installer that was released a few days ago, as I was using my phone for the past couple of days I noticed that I would get a solid 4 hours of battery life using this ROM which is really frustrating...
I'm looking for a nice and simple (DETAILED) way of flashing back to stock android
or
Flashing a new custom ROM from one of the threads...
I hope someone out there will guide me to help me solve my issue since my phone is very important for me during work.
Well you probably have a recovery.
Power off the phone, then power on holding power+voldwn. You'll be in the bootloader, and use the volume keys to make the option on the box say recovery. Then hit power to confirm. Since you used the app you'll probably have ClockworkMod. If you do, good . Reboot and go on XDA via PC/ best method. Look for a nice Android ROM for the Nexus 4. I personally like Slim. Download it and the correct Google Apps for the Android Version. Slim has there own on there website. Or a quick Google for PA Gapps will find the medifire link. It's easy ass hell. You already did the hard part . Once recovery is one the phone and the bootloader is unlocked your good . Just download a to for the Nexus 4 via XDA and flash in recovery. Just always wipe if your changing ROMs. Youtube can also help .

So I was trying to help a friend flash stock using Odin because his phone app was being a piece of crap, he was on a CM 11 nightly and, well, long story short I almost bricked his phone not knowing there is a limit on how many times you can flash a Samsung device using Odin because of the yellow triangle. I can't use triangle away because it's the CM ROM on a CM kernel, I was able to get rid of the softbrick by using a older CM ROM on his SD card, this wouldn't be a problem if his phone app was still working, his WiFi was working and if his sound was working, but it's not. So to recap and for the question, Samsung is stupid, and can anyone help?

Sorry, Samsung isn't stupid or they wouldn't just magically be a $250+billion dollar company that has been around for 76 years.
Because you jumped in and were unsuccessful with what you were doing doesn't constitute failure on their part.
How about taking that phone - S4 back to bone stock. ALL the answers on how to do that are here. In fact in the last couple days I've personally given instructions on how to do that for a number of people here in the help section. Do some searching and reading and you'll find your answers.
It always helps to come to a manufacture's section and say how sh**y they are. Makes those of us who choose to use and support them feel ever so helpful.
Ok sorry should've been more specific, I'm not new to these forums I was just in a hurry, also seriously guys I'm just frustrated I know Samsung is not stupid you don't have to post their history, they're awesome it's just dumb that they have a limit, and yes if you install the latest stock Sprint update (the one I did before I rooted and rom'd his phone) there wouldn't be a thing such as triangle away. Anyway on Odin it says it passed when flashing stock (the firmware that comes with the phone) but it does it in 4 seconds, and when his phone boots up and it just restores CM, so far everything we've tried either softbricks it or restores CM. Is there anything that completely and I mean completely restores this phone

There is no limit, as mentioned already, with Odin.
I've used it probably a hundred times since I got my S4. I know others have used it more.

Glad you got it working and THANK YOU for posting back - that is what helps the community.
I understand the panic too. Especially when things are f'd up.
But if there is one valuable lesson I've learned in my half century of life; if you can just pause, relax and step back, many problems are easily resolved. And better yet more avoided by haste.
Good luck with the new phone setup.

You can first boot to stock recovery (power on + volume up) and choose a 'factory reset'. That often clears stuff up pretty well
Or
Try and PC Oding a stock MK2 kernel. Then battery pull and restart after. Saw this on a few phones
I'll have to search to find it but it's here somewhere.
