Ematic eGlide Prism
Now I thought it was just some cheap tablet (and it kinda is) but for $150 it looks like a pretty good deal to me.
7" screen
1GHz Processor
8GB Memory & 5GB Cloud Storage (doesn't really matter because it had an SD slot)
512MB RAM
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
Front Facing Webcam
MicroSD Memory Card Reader
Built-in Speakers
and 3D glasses for some reason? it's supposed to be capable of playing 3D videos in HD, but that sounds horrid to me
Anyone else think this looks worth the money?

Found THIS THREAD over in the android development forums. I didnt see any write speed performance, but this little tweak more than tripled my read speed!
EDIT: 3072KB was my sweet spot.
EDIT: scratch that, it quadrupled my read speed...I was barely seeing 7Mb/sec and now Im seeing 30MB/sec minimum.
Nice find.
The sweet spot for me was also 3072.
These results are from a 16GB Class 10 card - Aria set at 400-806 Performance for the tests.
Edit: I'm running DT a2sd with Apps & Dalvik on an Ext3 partition, and this tweak makes a noticeable difference.

Very nice. 3024kb was mine as well on a crappy 2gb Class 2. Noticeable speed increase when loading gallery apps.
Standard, 2048kb, 3024kb.
ok so i cracked open my tablet today and took some pics, now im mostly interested in 1 thing which i found quite interesting. the tablet has what looks like an internal mini-pcie expansion slot, no doubt for the 3g modem, antenna connections are also present.
im wondering if that mini pci-e slot can be used to stick in a pci-e ssd flash drive. iv got an asus psion 8gb one which is 7cm however but i do know they make 5cm ones too.
anyone got any thoughts on this?

I know it's off-topic, but when I saw these pictures it looked like it would've been assembled by me!

haven't tried the other benchmark apps yet..
definitely awesome..
how does your shield perform on benchmarking apps?
My NV Shield got almost the same score but I didn't do a factory restore because I already installed a lot of apps and games (My 64GB SDXC card is almost full )
EDIT:
I can't post pics yet so I'll just put the links here (I got 39204 btw)

nice! to think that your shield is already equipped with alot of apps
which means that this device is very promising..
although I have to let go of this one though since I'm into "buyandsell"..
Yeah I really like this device so much potential
It's a shame you have to let yours go but business is business I guess.
That's new:
Tegra K1 on 2,5GHz. 4GB RAM, 1440 х 900 screen resolution, 0,3Mp front camera, Android 4.4.2

Considering this is a gaming device, the lower price of flash and Kitkat not allowing installs to external cards, seems the device should have 32GB. It IS supposed to be a gaming device and most games that would leverage the hardware are north of 1GB each in size after installation.
Hope it has at least a 5.5" display. That does not seem like much, but it is in relation to a 5" display and still fit the cover size.
Gefroce? 16 gb ROM? Tell whoever posted that to put a little more effort into it.
