Hello guys,
as the title says, I would like to know whether it is possible to disable the sound output of a BT device.
The reason is, I connect my HD2 via aux with my cars radio. Because of the bad microphone-quality I want to use a hands-free device or a simple bluetooth headset, but keep my HD2 playing all the sounds.
Is that possible?

hi, i was wondering if there is a wat to connect my wizard to my car stereo and play mp3's from wy wizard stored on memory card but play them using my car speakers setting my radio to AUX ? is is possible..i hope you all got what i mean cos i am not sure myself if i know what i mean cheers, cudo
I use a Sony Adapter Casette. Just plug it in the Universal and play the casette on your car and it will work fine. There are other options too like wireless stuff. But I prefer this method better, at least I don't have to worry about signal being obscured.
and what if i dont have casettee i got only cd ??
If you only have CD and no casette, you only either use BT or FM transmitter.
I used to use casette adapter but now I have a car stereo with AUX input.
If you also want to be able to receive calls you would need to have an adapter with a mic as a normal audio plug when plugged into the Universal will disable the internal mic and only carry over the output audio.
See this link, we discuss about the correct adapter for Universal in the lower part. I should receive one in this week and will post the result later once I verify its working fine.

Which PPC are you using, Wizard or Universal? You subject title is about Universal but your message body is asking about Wizard.
They have different size of audio plugs.
sorry i wasnt very specific...i am asking about unicersal, i am using both of them hence the mistake. sorry about that
Good news. I received the PQTAA from PC-Mobile and it works with the Universal!
I have tested all functions with my Universal:
- Stereo audio output is carried perfectly to the car stereo, no noise whatsoever.
- Microphone is working great, my voice can be heard clearly.
- The call receive button on the unit is working ok too to receive/pick up incoming call.
This is a great audio adapter (in addition to the fact its a handsfree unit).
I find its a lot better way to connect the Universal to the car audio system rather than using other method like BT.
As most car mounting solutions do not include audio adapter to connect the Universal to the car audio system, the PQTAA is a perfect solution.
If you have a cassete player, you can combine it with the casette adapter. If you have an AUX input in your car stereo, thats the best.

hi
i have got a s100/i-mate and a lot of audiobooks,
Connecting via FM transmitter gives me bad sound,
My car sound system has not input jack,
I tried BHCS stack but it does not recognize my handsfree,
Is there any way to transmit sounds (Mp3 from WMP for instance) to my car handsfree? (Southwing NeoCar model)
Thanks!
i only heard from such a software,
which will transmit every output from a magician to a handsfree.
So, it must be possible to find such a software. I will ask my colleague.
My colleague mails me the software he is using and what he tested on his mda.
OK, he uses a wizard. But I hope, it will run on our magician too. If not, maybe you can find the software-writer and look, if there is a running version for our device.
I haven't tested the software since now.
Hope i could help you with that. Oh, my colleague uses the software for the same aim in listing to hearbooks.
Finally got bluetooth in my car stereo and reviewed some threads prior to posting, but not sure anyone asked / answered the question I have. I'm basically wondering how people are using their bluetooth stereo's. From what I can tell so far I have 2 options.
1. Phone pairs, i listen to my car stereo and if a phone call comes in the stereo picks up the call if i say, and upon completion back to my car stereo
2. Phone pairs, put the car into BT Audio mode and stream audio from my phone including phone calls.
The problem is, i'm looking for a way to combine both. For example I'd like to be able to listen to my car stereo, and if i get a notification i hear it over the radio, not just phone calls. I haven't tried yet, but i'm guessing the nav will be the same way, if i'm listening to the stereo and running nav on my phone i will get no turn by turn like i would if i was listening to music on my phone and running nav.
Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something? I have the Sony Xplōd™ MEX-BT3900U. Is this a limitation of my stereo, or just not how most people use their bluetooth?
I just ordered a replacement radio as well with BT support. I'd be curious wth what other people have to say with experience as well.
I use this all the time.
Both options will work provided the head unit you bought supports media streaming.
Your phone will connect both phone and media over Bluetooth. You listen to your media and if a call comes in you can take it while the media is paused. Media will resume after call completed.
Notifications and navigation will pause and resume media as needed.

I've found the quality of the audio over bluetooth to be very degraded. Have a rear AUX 1/8th port and run a cable to mount, Then use BT headset for all if need be, but have Pandora playing Excision & Downlink radio the entire time
Asked this question on the nexus 5 forum, but no answer so I thought I'd ask here too as I have the same issue on my Nexus 4.
When connected to a bluetooth device in car mode, I'd like to force all audio to the car bluetooth speakers and mute the internal speakers. Problem is, I don't see a mechanism to mute the internal speakers while not affecting the bluetooth volume in either Llama or Tasker. Does anyone know how this could be done or a Tasker/Locale plugin that has this functionality?
Hi,
I am looking for way to connect my current phone via bluetooth with my "old" G900F. The S5 is already in use as a media player with mp3 from sd card and connected via 3,5mm jack (aux-in to car radio).
Can I use the S5 also as a hands-free car kit? Pairing the phone in telephone mode or media mode is not possible.
Are there any apps available or custom roms addons?
Is there any chance to enable A2DP to act as a bluetooth sink??
Thanks in advance
