It's already done, it's called MIUIWIZ and its for the samsung galaxy but it isnt supported for other devices..
So it shouldn't be that difficult!

worked on this last year for my amusement on the Nexus using ADW as the base launcher and merging miui files into the apk in an effort for a standalone apk. i chose adw then because it appeared they were using using it or at least part of the open source of it. Seems it would be easier to work it into adw instead of touchwizz.

And what was your result? Did it work?

I have a Desire HD, I can test on CM7 and Sense! So that's not a problem!

But you have a Galaxy S with the Touchwiz Framework.
If you port it to your device it's still not compatible with CM7 or Sense..
But that's no big deal because we can share our porting process
so that it will be universal

I would need to know what he changed. Maybe find one of the devs who made Cm7 available for Unsupported devices like the Buzz. Jacob is his name if I'm right.

Read only access need to be change at top right phone screen...
Are u sure this app can work fine with andys new rom? Cuz andy said its not compatible with CM7 parts.

you can deodex as you want ... better lern some coding and create a custom rom instead of copy roms and theme it only
i respect the users work here, not everyone have the knowledge as some dev's here - but a theme isnt a real improvement... so i think.

On the other hand I don't think the "trick" is making themes per say I think the "trick" so to speak is not making the new themes lag/slow up the system!? Something that apparently a lot of themers tend to forget

How to install if you are using older gc version
Go in cwm5
install from sdcard please not wipe any thing
now reboot
no wipe needed all your data will be as it is and apps also

No dude he not made for ace i ported from his optimus ones rom
i use stuff of optimus one's gingercruzt rom
if he made for ace i will be happy as his rom better than this because of framework
as he would make framework for ace if he made it.
But optimus ones framework not work on ace.
And i have to modify our ace framework which is big task as he heavyly themed optimus ones framework

Build.prop for nims11

Im using the rom. It´s fast. I have [email protected] and its stable. AS2sd work im using S2E aplication. No prob until now. But i would like to now what´s included in the update zip.

So far it is running very fast and very stable, and I love the extra stuff in it. Very nice!

In update zip moded framework for bettery and all icons and popups and all things to look like sonys
plus few permissions of sony's apps
so its needed to install update

And I've started to wonder if it isn't possible to port it's ROM to our beloved Y DUOS.
While searching here on XDA, I've discovered this post -> Rooted galaxy star duos via firmware.
I've downloaded it and used dsixda's Android Kitchen to deodex all apk's.
And so, HERE you go fellows.
I think that, in theory we would be able to port this, in fact, I would gladly try to do it if it wasn't for my lack of time.
I hereby request that this thread becomes updated by everyone interested on porting this or using the provided apk's to mod a custom ROM still based on Ginger Bread. This is a request for all of our most skilled members to work on!!
So how will it be? Can we count on each other to port (or mod a custom ROM with) this?
I would be very grateful if we could.
I've cast the first stone into the lake, now let's make some waves, shall we?

Tried it? No.
I simply took it, as is, from the thread I've mentioned on the OP and used Android kitchen to deodex all apk's.

This is still a ROM for Star Duos, not Y Duos.
I simply thought that, since both phones are ldpi devices, we could try to make it work on our phone by porting it, or to make it look like it by modding our apk's.

Star duos has a spreadtrum 8810 processor and mali 300 gpu.Its impossible to port

Well, at least we can use the apk's to mod our custom ROM's, right?
For example, Omkar$ requested HERE for someone to resize stuff for Galaxy Y.
Well, with these apk the resizing is already made, right? We can use this stuff to, at leats, mod, am I correct?

yes you can port png images i think...unless its same names and layout...
but why we need to coz there was already png images in our apk and we just only to edit it and design for theming...

can you share the stock launcher of it maybe we can use that...

It's SecLauncher2.apk.
Remember that this download is the result of my import of the rooted firmware (available for download on the thread I mentioned on the OP) on dsixda's Android Kitchen.
I've took the firmware and passed it on Android Kitchen simply to deodex all files.

Hey buddy can u just upload "SecLauncher2.apk"
i just wanted that file,..... n i dont have that much data in cell than i can dwl 400+mb....
n will it work if i directly intstall that apk in my sgy duos....or i need to move tht in system???/
just do 1 thing...upload SecLauncher2.apk ...n i will see it myself.........

I Don't know if the launcher will work by itself "alone". I think we will always need the frameworks.
Later on I will release a download for the launcher, settings, systemui, and all frameworks, so that you're able to try it.

yes thats right since you already download the firmware we need only the important apk and not the whole firmware lets see what we can do about it...

Hi So Here's my review of the rom
Bugs
Camera
Lockscreen never shows up
In the Power menu there is no airplane mode option and others are not visible too
In the notifications bar the switcher does not shows. So we have to slide to see the tiles
We cannot use the home button at all even with the nav bar
Well Anyways good work. If I have spare time I could surely fix the camera and lockscreen bugs

I tried to port RootBox rom(based on android 4.2.2) for our ace from Zte crescent from this link
The ROM got flashed but it is stuck at bootanimation.and not booting
Can you help me? please

except few bugs that are listed everything is fine
and nova launcher idea is good cos cm9 roms with this one are also light and fast

U can take a logcat for there are many guides on taking a logcat, its very useful
For bootloop probably there are some lib files u did not take from base rom? U can always refer to various guides at xda and combine them like i did, anyway good luck in your rom porting

I don't have laptop access as it is damaged so can't take logcat
and the rom doesn't boot so no app to take logcat as well.
BTW which libs files are you referring to?
The rom stays at bootanimation only
and lib files are to be taken from base ROM or port ROM?
